Gruffalo that's great, hopefully the scales will soon reflect that too!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 22/02/2019 09:18

Well done gruffalos and carrot!

StealthNinjaMum · 22/02/2019 10:00

Have a good time Fiontar.

Pinkroseuk that's really annoying. I am also willing it to go into the 80s, it'll be amazing when it does.

Good news Gruffalos as I said on Tuesday I am thinner even though I have not lost much weight recently so it does take time to shift.

I am slightly annoyed with the slow progress. My target was to lose 4lbs in February and go from 144 to 140. I am stuck at 142. I know it will take forever especially now I'm a healthy weight but I'm impatient.

StealthNinjaMum · 22/02/2019 10:02

Didn't see your comment carrot. Well done on the weight, steps and the c2s5k. You're right it is the right direction. I need to be patient.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 22/02/2019 10:25

Thank you everyone and well done Carrot. That’s brilliant! Who cares that it took 6 months? Now just keep it up Smile.

I’m sorry Stealth, I really know how frustrating that is. Stick with it and don’t lose faith. It’s natural that weight loss will slow down now. You’ve done so well so far!

GreyandGrumpy48 · 22/02/2019 12:48

Well done Gruffalos andCarrot. I’ve stuck to my plan for two days which is a start but long way to go

wizzler · 22/02/2019 13:42

Carrot. Fantastic achievement to complete c25k. I think you can get t shirts to commemorate... you should treat yourself

TheHoundsofLove · 22/02/2019 13:50

Well done carrot ! I think the 20 minute run (is it week 5?) is the hardest I've ever done. So, the good news is that if you want to continue with running, it's comparatively easy to build up your distance.
Slow progress is definitely frustrating... But, I think it's a good thing. If nothing else, it's good practice for when we'll be maintaining! Grin

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/02/2019 12:19

Good morning fellow losers and thank you to whoever reminded us to take measurements! I measured this morning and I’ve lost nearly 3 inches from both my waist and from my hips! So I’m celebrating today. Just been for a long walk with DH and DS in the sunshine.

wizzler · 23/02/2019 14:59

I think Weight loss should reflect what you turndown. I am in a coffee shop and have ordered a coffee and not orders a Maltese brownie which looks lovely. I think I should get extra weight loss for trying so hard

aurorie11 · 23/02/2019 15:01

1lb down this week, 18 in total. Food hasn't been golden this week so can't complain at 1lb loss.
Away seeing friends so not expecting a good weekend food wise, so back to it on Monday properly

TheHoundsofLove · 23/02/2019 15:50

3 inches is brilliant when - you must be easily down a dress size?
I agree wizzler - if it were up to me, I'd award you an extra 3lbs this week! Grin
aurorie Well done on 18 lbs so far - you must be feeling great.
I've lost 2 more lbs this week, bringing my total to 11 lbs now. Smile I feel a bit more 'in my stride now' and less like each week is just a lucky fluke!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/02/2019 16:15

I noticed a clear difference in how my clothes were fitting this morning so thought to check Hounds. I’ve gone from an 18 to a 16 easily and am nudging closer and closer to a 14 which is a size that I feel much more comfortable at. I was probably a size 20 in November and before but was in denial.
Congratulations on your weight loss this week. I got down to 198 yesterday which is a 3lb loss since Tuesday but have bounced up to 199 today.

Well done aurorie too! And wizzler that brownie sounds delicious and I’d award you bonus points too! I love malteasters.

I’m in the hairdressers treating myself to a bit of a style refresh to celebrate my losses. Going for something a bit different so will see if I like the end result Grin

StealthNinjaMum · 23/02/2019 16:18

whencanisleep that is FANTASTIC! As I've said before sorry if I'm boring you often the getting thinner bit comes after the weightloss so it's a nice extra boost.

Ha ha wizzler if only that happened, I'd be down 3lbs this week. Out with the dc and I have turned down lots of cake and ice cream.

Aurorie and hounds what good losses. Are you both at that brilliant stage where you notice your clothes are looser on you?

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/02/2019 16:18

Also someone took a photo of DH, DS and I the other day and I liked it! I’m a bit disappointed that the other person is in the photo too and that DS was sleeping and slumped in his pram because otherwise it would have been the perfect family photo and I’d have update my profile photo everywhere WinkGrin

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/02/2019 16:20

Thank you so much Stealth - don’t stop saying it, it is a major boost and I feel great about it. Thank you for the encouragement!

HermioneWeasley · 23/02/2019 16:20

Checking in to refind my mojo. Stuck at 12:2. Want to be 12 for holiday in April which should be easily doable but I’ve been slack in recent weeks.

TheHoundsofLove · 23/02/2019 16:54

Thank you when and Stealth . Yes - my clothes are feeling much looser. I've lost an inch from my bust, 3 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my hips, so feel a lot trimmer. My size 14 jeans are now really quite baggy - need to try on some old size 12s and see how we're doing...
when losing 2 and a bit dress sizes is a massive achievement - well done you. You'll be in those 14s in no time.
Hermione You can do it - knuckle down and you'll easily be down to 11 stone something by April. Think of how you want to feel this summer...

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/02/2019 17:41

Thank you Hounds and amazing to get back to size 12 jeans! That’s going to feel incredible! I don’t wear jeans often because I struggle to get any to flatter me. I’d be over the moon to get into a pair that are size 12!
And you’ll definitely get there Hermione - keep going and just think how much you’re going to enjoy your holiday!

wizzler · 24/02/2019 06:58

Well done Hounds. Getting into size 12 is amazing. I am still in size 16 despite losing 10 lbs.. which means I was really a size 18 squeezing into size 16.
Went shopping yesterday but didn't want to spend money on clothes that hopefully won't fit me for long so my plan is to buy stuff from charity shops then take it back when I get too small for them .
Koko everyone

PinkHeart5914 · 24/02/2019 15:13

Hello everyone

Hope your all ok, still going with the diets and having a good weekend 😃

The weather is nice, strange saying that in February! So me and dh took the dc on a bike ride today, was lovely we haven’t been home long.

Food for today:
B- crumpets with peanut butter, black coffee
L- sausage sandwich, pot of no sugar jelly
2 mini ginger biscuits
D- will be sweet potato & chickpea curry with rice

StealthNinjaMum · 24/02/2019 16:40

whencanIsleep how's the hair looking? I hope you liked the finished cut.

Hermione you've got over a month, if you're lucky you could lose 7-10 lbs in that time which would make a visible difference. Being in the 11s would be a big boost.

hounds excellent to lose more weight from your waist and hips than bust. My waist and stomach is not budging yet everywhere else is. I can even see that my legs look skinnier and I have been looking for mini dresses - although maybe I'm too old for that.

wizzler good plan to buy from charity shops, I used to buy loads of clothes in brands I liked from eBay. I do think it's good to buy a few outfits for every stage of weight loss to give you confidence.

Pinkheart that curry sounds lovely.

Yesterday I ate out twice. I tried to make good choices but I also had two cappuccinos and they're such empty calories, I need to go back to drinking mint tea after a meal. Today I had a tuna sandwich for lunch and it'll be another salad for dinner. Boring but effective.

Pinkroseuk · 24/02/2019 17:03

Hi all- have been off mums net for a couple weeks and catching up-
Friends announced today that they were expecting after first month of trying and now need to find a house in time for the baby's arrival!
I have been feeling rubbish all day but need to get back onto shifting the weight - hospital appointment in two weeks and really need to loose another 3kg before then :/
I know you lovely ladies will help motivate me! :)

AwdBovril · 24/02/2019 17:15

My weigh-in day is tomorrow... I checked this morning & it's looking like I've done ok, but last week I'd actually gained so I don't want to be too optimistic. Homemade chicken & vegetable soup for dinner tonight. Been trying to find some nice, easy, quick & inexpensive recipes online - I find it really hard to cook just one portion, I'm used to cooking for family meals, so often end up with too much & either have leftovers (ok) or just eat too much, which defeats the object.

PrivateCello · 24/02/2019 18:47

A quick check in to say bet you would look awesome in a mini dress SNM go on show off those amazing legs Smile
