Hello all 😃

Well done Aurorie

Not done much exercise today I’ve been cuddled up on the sofa with the dc and dh watching films, but it is the weekend.

Not the best food day but not awful either;
B- crumpets and chocolate spread. Coffee
L- poached eggs, slice of ham, toast. 2 cookies
D- will be chicken in a spicy tomato sauce with rice & peas. Glass of cold white wine as well obviously as it’s the weekend

wizzler · 09/02/2019 17:55

Well done Aurorie.

I thought I should check Dds phone. I was relieved to see nothing unsafe or inappropriate , but the google search history revealed "how to get pva glue out of carpet"
Hmmmm ... I think I may be driven to chocolate

aurorie11 · 09/02/2019 18:21

Wizzler hope the carpet is ok

wizzler · 09/02/2019 22:26

She confessed. Said she has put the waste paper bin on top of the mark so no one would see !grrrr

mrbob · 09/02/2019 23:09

So how DO you get PVA glue out of the carpet? Wink

Fed up here. Not because of the diet (although some speedy reliable weight loss would be nice) just because I have so much I should be doing and am not. Plus holiday and moving interstate coming up and not dealing well with the chaos

aurorie11 · 10/02/2019 06:48

mrbob be kind to yourself, there's only so much you can focus on at one time, if dealing with the chaos is important do that, weigh loss when you can focus. For me to loose weigh I really have to have my head in the right place xx

Fiontar649 · 10/02/2019 07:35

Hate that feeling mrbob
Do you make lists? I am a big fan of ticking things off adding things I have already done so I can increase my ticks

TheHoundsofLove · 10/02/2019 08:32

Moving chaos is never easy to deal with mrbob ! I'm a fan of ticking things off of lists too! Writing things down (has to be with a pen and paper - on the computer is not the same) really helps with my organisation.
I have lost another 0.5 lb this week, bringing my total to 6.5 lbs now. It does seem slow for all the effort I'm putting in. But, I'm not calorie counting and just focusing on healthy eating/more exercise, so I suppose it's quite good really.

mrbob · 10/02/2019 08:41

So many lists! LOVE them!
I also add things I don't really need to just to tick them off Blush
I guess the weight loss now is probably in that hard slog phase hounds or at least I am feeling that. The initial rush and good loss has slowed and we are not close enough to the end to feel it yet. But I think this is the hard time and we just have to keep doing what we are doing and working out if there is anything else we can tweak. Keep plodding!

PrivateCello · 10/02/2019 09:23

I seem to have lost the earlier motivation somehow. Kids are unwell and broken sleep really taking a toll on me so I have been just eating crap. Time to get back on it! I don’t want to be fat this summer and look back and regret when I can do something about it now.
Aurorie well done on your loss! Mrbob sounds like a lot going for you, once you get going, hopefully the stress of it all reduces!
Hope you got the glue out wizzler! Have a good Sunday everyone!

TheHoundsofLove · 10/02/2019 13:11

Keep going, Cello ! It is so hard when you're sleep-deprived. I would suggest focusing on eating for energy / to balance your blood sugars.
I'm going to step it up a gear this week. I'm going to have some carbs for breakfast and lunch, but none for dinner. And I'm going to try to get more fruit or veg into every meal.

PrivateCello · 11/02/2019 05:54

Thanks for the encouragement Hounds!
Today will be a write off as it’s my son’s birthday and there’s a small party. Tomorrow will be a semi write off as well as I will be at a client. If I just maintain this week and not gain I will be happy. Will be weighing on Friday this week. Wishing you all a good week ahead! Keep going Smile

WhenCanISleepAgain · 11/02/2019 07:26

I’m with you cello. I’m struggling to lose the pound I gained last week... as in I lost it and then gained it again Hmm DS has to go to hospital (something minor and he’s fine) but that, no sleep and a lot of other things going on mean I’ve struggled to stay on track again.
Well done on your loss hounds. Good luck with moving bob.

mrbob · 11/02/2019 07:48

I think any stresses are hard both because we release extra cortisol which makes us gain weight AND because we want to eat cake EVEN more than usual. So all the feelings are understandable. The key I reckon is look long term and keep slowly going in the right direction :)

LittleDoritt · 11/02/2019 10:10

Same here. I'm just limping along, hoping not to gain. Will try and have a proper catch up of the thread now.

LittleDoritt · 11/02/2019 10:55

Well done Aurorie, that is awesome! You must feel so good.

Good luck with the move Mr Bob. I cope very badly when everything around me is chaotic. Sympathies.

Hope Mr Wizzler is on the mend. Sorry about your gluey carpet Wiz.

DId you get straight back on track Fiontar. I find it so hard to regulate after a blow out. I'm definitely an all or nothing sort.

Hope Little When gets on alright at hospital. However minor it's always horrid seeing them go through medical stuff. You feel so helpless.

Hope everyone is having a happy Monday. I was so relieved to pack the family off to school and work this morning I can't even tell you! Peace and quiet for six hours. Bliss!

Bad weekend food wise, as I was stressed and tired and miserable because of aforementioned shitty family, squabbling and making demands on me. Not looking forward to weigh in day. AGAIN!

Fiontar649 · 11/02/2019 14:28

Well, kinda, but not!
At the wedding I had a lot of wine, but only ate the meal - no canapés or buffet food late at night. Saturday morning was totally off - we were travelling so I bought potato wedges from a hot counter. That evening though I was back on plan. Then Sunday I had the munchies all day. Ate pretty well bit did end up having my first Chinese of the year. Delicious!

Today I could eat a horse, but instead I am back on it. Will have a massive stirfry tonight to keep me going.

Dreading the scales! Due on this week too.
I feel like I need to 💩 it all out!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 11/02/2019 20:04

Thank you bob and dorrit. I’m nervous to weigh tomorrow but I’m still here.

Fiontar649 · 11/02/2019 22:01

Me too when
Just want to get it over with!

Pinkroseuk · 11/02/2019 22:15

I'm back from weekend away and put on 0.4kg so not totally horrific!
Just catching up on everyone's news - not looking forward to weight in tomorrow - keeping fingers crossed I havnt put any more on by then ! X

wizzler · 12/02/2019 06:05

Morning all. STS this week , but probably reflects I have cut myself too much slack. Need to get back on it.

Good luck to everyone weighing in today.

Thanks to everyone on this thread, I would have given in weeks ago without you lot

Fiontar649 · 12/02/2019 07:37

I lost 3 lbs. I have no idea how! I guess that, although I went off-plan, I wasn't eating too badly, compared to my old habits of grazing all day week after something like a wedding. Plus I have still loads to lose, so some weeks I am getting a good drop.

wizzler take your STS on the chin...think how disheartening a gain would have been.

I think a lot of us are finding it a slog now. Is anyone up for checking in daily for the next week, just to give each other a bit of a boost?

WhenCanISleepAgain · 12/02/2019 07:42

I’ve gained another 1lb so not a great week for me Sad

TheHoundsofLove · 12/02/2019 07:49

Well done Fiontar - 3lbs is brilliant! I'm up for a daily check-in.
Pink I'm sure you'll have that 0.4kg off in no time. Keep going!
Wizzler I think that if we are trying to form new habits, there are bound to be weeks when we STS. Keep going and you'll see the scales move in the right direction next week.
In my bid for supremacy, I have just tried pumpernickel bread for breakfast. It was like eating the sole of a shoe! And I think I've ruined our toaster as a slice of the stupid thin stuff slid right down to the bottom and I don't think I can get it out!

TheHoundsofLove · 12/02/2019 07:51

When You sound like you've had a tough week, so don't be too hard on yourself.
