wizzler I am an "all or nothing" person, so while I am in the zone, I have willpower of steel. But as soon as that starts to bend, I am screwed. If it happens in the evening time, I go to bed to avoid it 😂 Maybe give yourself a day off (or 1 meal) and really enjoy it - don't berate yourself while eating - and then dust yourself down and start again. I have a wedding next Friday, so allowing myself a day off then, but need to get back on it on Saturday. So I will have my food planned to make it as easy as I can (as will no doubt be hungover from not drinking since new year 😷)

Be kind to yourself. It's a blip.

Keep going wizz - this week has been more of a struggle for me too. We’ve made it in to February now though!

PrivateCello · 01/02/2019 09:28

When and Gruffalo my goal is to be 9 stones. I am 5’4. I got down to 9.5 stones after my son and I left that it suited me. Pre kids I was between 7 and a half and 8 stones and was easily maintained by having a very active lifestyle but that’s no longer possible as time is very limited now as you both know with small kids!
When is your ds feeling better now?
Sorry I haven’t read the thread properly and haven’t been so active on it. So glad to see the end of Janaury. Was really swamped with the end of the tax season. I ended Janaury at 74 kg yesterday and checked it today and it’s 74.6 kg but I suppose that’s to do with fluctuations as I got home late last night and had not such a healthy dinner nor lunch come to think of it!
MrBob, how’s the weather there? We are having snow here Grin

PrivateCello · 01/02/2019 09:29

And obviously I can’t spell January. Confused

WhenCanISleepAgain · 01/02/2019 14:56

I have veered off plan today - I’ve had a kitkat (two fingers), four squares of chocolate and two chocolate biscuits. Recording this here to pull myself back from finishing off the chocolate and biscuits because I’m feeling very tempted. I’m under the weather and just so very, very tired today, though DS slept slightly better again. By slightly better I mean 3-4 wake ups rather than hourly / only being happy co-sleeping and breastfeeding through the night Brew I’m was a pound up today and think the discouragement of that has impacted my choices and weakened my resolve, despite knowing I’ve lost lots overall and that fluctuations are normal. Oh and seeing a video of me with DS that DH took (that old chestnut popping up again!).

wizzler · 01/02/2019 16:43

Well done Groovie and Fiontar
Fiontar I agree. I have sailed through Jan with no problems but can feel myself wavering, and this is when I come unstuck

Feel grotty now, cannot believe I have a cold when I have had more fruit and veg in jan then in the whole of 2018!
Might just go to bed with a sign on the bedside table saying 'do not feed'

PinkHeart5914 · 01/02/2019 17:24

Hello all 😃

Well we’ve survived January and mostly I think we’ve all done pretty well Star We are all going to look fabulous if we keep this up

Was absolutely freezing this morning so I didn’t go for my run, did go on the exercise bike for a while instead.
Food for today
B- bowl of shreddies. Black coffee
L- lentil & veg soup, bread roll. 1 soreen banana loaf
D- is going to be chicken in white wine sauce, leeks, mushrooms, baby potatoes and broccoli
Will be having 2 glasses of wine tonight too because it’s friday!

Fiontar649 · 01/02/2019 18:56

Wizzler if you are getting a cold it might be making you crave more comforty/rubbishy food. An early night and a good sleep might help!

I am having a tofu and veggie stirfry on noodles tonight. I am so excited for it. Tofu. Me.

I love it though!

mrbob · 02/02/2019 01:53

Totally love tofu too- I understand!
I have drunk a LOT of sparkling wine last night at my leaving do Sad I feel so bad for being crap but this week is so full of social stuff. Need to just be on track in between. And no more alcohol

mrbob · 02/02/2019 06:30

I feel shit. I am about to go out for dinner again and am not even hungry but need to catch up with someone who has come from interstate so I can't bail. I just want to not eat and get back to my plan. It is weird that I actually feel upset about not being able to eat how I want. I KNOW tomorrow I can get straight back to it. And logically I know that this will take a while. I just want to get some more weight off before I go on holiday in 2 weeks and am likely to have to eat some carbs (because in a big group it will be impossible to dictate the restaurant choices all the time) however much I don't want to. In some ways it is great that I want this SO much but in some ways frustrating!

Fiontar649 · 02/02/2019 07:05

mrbob I totally understand what you mean. I am afraid that when I have social events to go to, it will trigger a spiral of poor choices. So I am working on being better prepared (easy food ready for next day) and more mindful at the time (making the best possible food choice while out, alternating wine with water etc)

Eventually, I hope I can be like naturally slim people, who eat healthily normally, can have a wee blow out while socialising, but return to their normal habits the next day.

Enjoy your night out though - if you are not hungry, can you opt for something light, like a salad?

CarrotPuff · 02/02/2019 08:03

Starting weight - 11st 2
Lost in January - 3lbs
Current weight - 10st 13

A bit gutted I've only lost 3lbs, really thought it would be more. But then I was ill for half the month, so hopefully February will be better.

I'm changing my weigh in days to Fridays this month too.

CarrotPuff · 02/02/2019 08:05

I'm quite happy to be in 10st territory though and my next mini goal is to be in single figures after 10, so 10.9.

aurorie11 · 02/02/2019 08:17

Week 4 weigh in
2/2 12st 13lb, 1.5lbs down. 12 in total

Survived a week with 3 (cooked) breakfasts out, 3 lunches and 3 dinners out. On two of the dinners, starters and mains
Put no alcohol, bread , biscuits puddings, cheese
Completed dry January and will be continuing
Just two work lunches out this week but taking my own to one, as lunch is sandwiches and chips!!

LittleDoritt · 02/02/2019 19:33

Hello loves, I am still here but it's just been social event, illness, social event, illness for me the last half of the month. God knows what the scales are going to say. I need an absolutely perfect week from now on to get my head screwed on right again. I know this next half stone is going to make me feel so good.
Glad everyone is doing so well. We are fab!

HermioneWeasley · 02/02/2019 20:18

Scales this morning 12:2! Haven’t seen that number in quite a while.

It’s also proving to me that with some sustained effort the weight will come off. And I’m have a super busy, stressful time at work, which would normally result in stress eating, which I am mostly resisting.

My waist is reappearing and I’ve moved down a notch on my belts.

(Not been good today though....)

LittleDoritt · 02/02/2019 21:55

Well done Hermione! Never to see 13 stone something again Grin

LittleDoritt · 02/02/2019 21:56

Sorry, I read that as 12.12! 12.2 is flipping awesome. I cannot wait to be that weight!

mrbob · 02/02/2019 22:13

Go Hermione! I too long for the 12.2 sort of a day :) I think I "got away" with some nights out but it has made me redouble my efforts and feel even more motivated with the diet. Which is VERY unusual for me!

I am doing a 12 hour shift today but got up super early and prepared all my food so am proud of me

Keep on trucking!

Fiontar649 · 02/02/2019 22:41

I can't remember when I was last 12 ANYTHING Blush great work Hermione

mrbob you sound well-prepped - have a good day.

Hitting the sack here. I am bollocksed tired. Still on track - said no to lunch with my Mum, and cake at my sister's. Roll on wedding next weekend

Fiontar649 · 02/02/2019 22:42

...that I am a guest at, not my wedding... just to be clear 😂

wizzler · 03/02/2019 07:59

Morning everyone.

Pinkroseuk · 03/02/2019 10:08

Morning - just catching up with everyone news in last week or so.
It's been a crazy week at work for me so started to look round for new jobs. This has resulted in me skipping evening exercise and browsing the internet!
Determined to get back on it from today though as need to get a lot of weight shifted by the start march!

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday :)!

HermioneWeasley · 03/02/2019 10:13

Thanks for the kind comments. Was up and at the gym this morning, feeling motivated to keep going!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 03/02/2019 10:18
