I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Well done pom I think I'll be at 1000 cals. Maybe the 800 isn't for me, as I seem to do 1000 every day. Maybe I'll go back to 5:2? Xx

Oh no green I'm sorry to hear that. If I'm honest I've been struggling too, I think I've been coming in at 1000 cals a day.

Yeah Joe Wicks veggie book, some of his recipes are a bit blah but these were delish similar to Tom kerridge sweet potato burritos but with butternut squash. I can screen shot the recipe if you want. I did maintain a little self control, I only had half soe the rest is for lunch tomorrow.

I had the butternut squash quesadilla for dinner during the week Rachey, they were lovely. I plan on having them again tonight.

Sorry you’re struggling Green, are you struggling with the diet or is it something else?

I’ve been struggling the last two days, well over my cals because I had wine. I met my friends for coffee last night, and they were very dismissive of me trying to stick to my cals (I had refused to get cake) and it has made me irrationally angry. It’s like they want me to stay as the “fat friend”, they made endless comments about how I didn’t need to lose weight - I have gone up a dress size! It has spurred me on even more to lose weight. I wasn’t boring them with diet talk by the way, we were talking about the fact my friend has been on a juice diet.

Sorry for the ranting, I’m just cheesed off.

Morning all.
Green I can’t seem to get started properly either. I’m pretty good at school (until someone brings in a shed load of chocolate!) but I struggle when I get home. I’m starving by about 4-5pm so I pick before dinner. This has resulted in me gaining two pounds rather than losing, which has been a real disappointment.
Sol how annoying of your friends. I admire your attitude though. Keep going.

pom when are you weighing in? I'm sorry but I think I I might have to drop back to the 5:2 I can't manage 800 cals. Will still do Monday and Wednesday

Hi everyone.

I’m a pre-dinner picker too Lulu, I now prepare my dinner in the morning so it’s just a case of heating it up, otherwise I am constantly snacking.

Rachey I think going back to 5:2 is the best idea. Do you weigh yourself in the end?

Pom I was outraged too. I hate being told that I don’t need to lose weight when it’s plainly obvious that I do.

I weigh in on Monday morning. I was going to leave it for a few weeks but I want to see if staying under 1000 cals a few days a week is making a difference. I finished up today on 1264 cals which isn’t so bad considering it’s a Saturday.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Oh dear had joe wicks protein power pancakes- should have checked ingredients first as it came in at over 400 cals even though I didn't have maple syrup and I used fry light instead of coconut oil. 😭

Oh my God Rachey, that’s a mad amount of calories. What was in them? A lot of his recipes are very high in calories, I have to tot them up before I even think of making them.

I had cauliflower and mushroom curry for lunch -167 cals and very filling. I have t found this weekend as hard a I though it would be. I’ve done hardly an exercise though.

Morning all,
sol your meals sound amazing. Does your dh and kids eat the same?

Don't forget it's 80% diet, so I think exercise is pretty irrelevant in overall weight loss as I still managed to put on nearly 2 stone while exercising 5 times a week. What you are doing with food sounds good enough.

pom are you fasting today? I'm am. I had my last meal at 7pm last night. Going to hold out as long as I can.

green how was your weekend?

lulu how are you getting on?

I still haven't done my cv, I'm so bloody lazy when it comes to these things.

Meal plan -
Greek yogurt and berries - 143 cals
Eggs -120cals
Veggie soup - 86 cals
For dinner I'll probably have soup again or made egg white omelette.

I finished yesterday at 893 cals, and then had a bottle of wine with DH Blush

Weigh in today and I’ve lost 8lbs. I’m really happy with that and my goal for next week is 5lbs. Usually I go off the rails on weigh day and eat what I want, but not today. I’m a woman on a mission.

My kids and DH don’t eat the cauliflower stuff, they mostly just complain about the smell. I don’t mind that they don’t eat it, more for me that way.

How’s fasting going Rachey? Could you make an appointment with an employment agency and see what jobs are out there? They could do the leg work for you and help you put yourself CV together. Your menu sounds good, we can do this!!!

I'm going to follow your lead a use cauliflower more, I'm not a huge fan (unless it's covered in cheese sauce) but I'm going to give it a go.

Non fast day today. Going to day and keep within 1000 cals.

Breakfast - Greek yogurt and berries
Snack - veggie crudités
Lunch - m&s veggie soup
Snack before spin - 2 x boiled eggs
Dinner - salad with maybe falafel or egg

I eat later on a Tuesday so have to be careful. Have a good day everyone. X

Sorry to hear you had a sad day in work Pom, are you ok today?

Go with the cauliflower Rachey, personally I hate the stuff but it’s very filling and is nice when it has hot sauce added as it’s fairly flavourless.

I had my walk before work this morning, I really didn’t want to do it but I feel better now. I’m so tired today, hopefully coffee will sort me out.
