New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!

I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Happy New Year all.

Turns out I had a vomiting bug. Been so unwell, but is it wrong I’m hoping this will kickstart my weight loss? I’m only half joking.

I hope you all had a lovely new year, I’m looking forward to this being the year I get back to my old skinny self.

The sun is shining and I’m feeling very optimistic. Going to drag the dc out for a walk soon. Then I’m going to finish have my last cheese binge!
Going to write down some goals tonight and start planning some healthy meals.
Will weigh myself tomorrow Shock

Oh dear sol. However there’s nothing like a sicky bug for a bit of weight loss!

Happy New Year everyone!

I’m also doing a last minute binge and starting tomorrow. I didn’t drink last night because I was driving but there’s still sweet stuff in the house and I’m visiting a friend today.

I’ve got my sights set on tomorrow as a start date and I hope to hit target by July ish. I weighed in at 12 stone 4 today and amazingly lost 1lb over the Christmas week! Ha!

Morning everyone...........

I have an empty fridge which I'm very happy about. Going to go shopping and by lots of healthy foods, no crisps, crackers or crap.

I'm attempting 5:2 fasting on Monday and Wednesdays as these days I don't go to the gym. I'm also reducing my carb intake and only eating them after exercise.

I feel very uncomfortable, I can't wait to feel normal again.

Hope everyone has a great day today, will post more later xx

Hope everyone has had a good day today?

I'm in bed, avoiding the kitchen. I managed about 550 cals today. Also did a circuit class.

Lunch - 6 egg white omelette with kale, chilli, pepper and mushrooms
Snack - 2 corn cakes and cucumber
Dinner - Linda mc cartney shredded "duck"
With stir fry veg.

I'm doing veggie January, I couldn't do veganuary

That’s amazing Rachey. Go you!

I’ve ate loads of crap. Managed a healthy shop though! Hopefully I’ve ate all the temptation today.

Slightly off topic, desperate for a job change I'm so unhappy and it's causing me to get anxiety.

Need to work on my cv (and self esteem) anyone know somewhere that does a good cv?

Report
Pomegranatepompom · 03/01/2019 10:08

I’m sure you could do your own cv Rachey - lots of templates on internet.

Sorry work is so miserable.

Hello all! I made a post last night but it seems to have disappeared! Very strange.
All okay here. I had a good day yesterday, keeping to my points. I’m a bit of a serial weigher and was disappointed that I randomly put 2lbs on overnight. I must stop weighing so frequently because it’s demotivating.
Sounds like you had a great day Rachey. Well done. Sorry to hear you’re unhappy in your job though. I’m not sure about CV writing. It’s a long time since I had to write one. I’m a teacher. What do you do/want to do?
Sol, hope you’re feeling better this morning.
Pomegranate and green, that’s tough when there’s temptation in the way. Be strong!

Well I have spent the last few days eating hardly anything so I don’t know what to do with my first weigh in, the results will be very skewed. I have the worst stomach ache, my muscles are so sore, but at least I can keep food down now.

Lulu that’s brilliant that you lost a pound over Christmas, I can’t imagine there’s many people that have done that. How much weight are you hoping to lose?

Sorry to hear work is getting you down Rachey, Pinterest have great CV templates, that’s where I got mine from. Your menu sounds so healthy, we got the new Lean in 15 veggie book so DH is making meals from that and they’re lovely.

Did you manage to decide on some goals Green? There’s a good thread l was reading in AIBU about how long it will take to lose 4 stone, it was very motivating and has made me reassess my goals.

Have you managed to get back to 5:2 Pom? My brother in law started in during the week - he needs to lose 5 stone - and he was a lunatic on his fast day. He really struggled.

My goal is 4 stone lost by May. I know it’s not a long time away but I am desperate to stop this awful cycle I’m in.

So 1150 cals per day, max 1350 if I have an off day or my period or something.
Get to work 30 mins earlier and go for a walk.
Log everything on MFP and use my Mii band to track my calories burned and steps.
Stop self sabotaging!!!!!

My goal is also four stone but probably by July/August. I really want to improve my health. I was just saying today that I can really feel the impact all this weight is having. My asthma is worse than ever and I’m getting horrible heartburn.
Any joy with the cv hunt Rachey?
Sol, that sounds grim. Not the best way to start the year. I know so many people who are ill at the moment.

I’ve had a terrible day at work - stressful and v sad, so inevitably had chocolate.
Tomorrow’s another day...
Yes I plan to do 5:2 sorry you’ve been so poorly Sol. Hope you are much better very soon.
Wanting to improve your health is good motivation Lulu. I’ll try to be motivated by you all !

Thank you Lulu- stress I can cope with, the sadness is sometimes unbearable and makes me and colleagues eat sugar (lumps straight from a bowl - just kidding- someone had hotel chocolate, although personally I prefer dairy milk but needs must! And then I had 2 chocolate digestives !!!)

pom do you have Netflix? You is meant to be good but not sure if to teenager? Sorry work wasn't great. I also not a fan of hotel chocolate 😊 give me dairy milk any day. are we fast day buddies? You still aiming for Monday and Wednesday?

lulu I reckon 4 stone is douable, I did just over 4 in 8 months. I'm a total yo yo dieter.

No haven't really looked at my cv yet, just searched for jobs. I take my hat off to you for being a teacher, what age do you teach? My full title is executive pa but I also help with a charity for fundraising, events etc. It's a full time job in part time hours, I'm constantly stressed or exhausted.

sol can you pass me your virus, I could do with a kick start (just kidding)

We have the veggie lean in 15, the butternut quesadillas sound very yummy (similar to Tom kerridge sweet potato burrito)

green thanks. how are you getting on?

I think I came in at 1000 cals today. Did a circuit class this morning.
Lunch was baked eggs in tomato sauce with 1 slice of brown toast
Dinner - mixed bean chilli with kale, low fat cheese and sour cream
Snack - cucumber and corn cakes x3

Really hoping to lose a few lbs this week

Racheyg · 03/01/2019 21:48

Thanks for the recommendation.
