I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Morning all,

Weight on 1st March - 11st 8lbs. 😔

I will lose weight this month!!!

Pomegranatepompom · 08/03/2020 00:07

I seem to keep drinking wine 🍷
Start Monday?????

Greenrabbit · 08/03/2020 12:13

Hi everyone.
I’ll be starting properly tomorrow. I’ve had a sore throat and cold for the last couple of weeks and it didn’t mix well with jet lag. I think I’ve managed to catch up with sleep this weekend and now I’m feeling more a lot better now!

We went to Orlando it was lovely.

DD2 got her ASD diagnosis just before we went away so that feels like a relief. Paediatrician says it’s mild. I’m doing some training in the summer too.

I’m going to start WW again tomorrow. I’m also going to aim for 7lb in March. After that I think I’ll be trying for 7lb each month. I’ve so much to lose though- depressing.

Racheyg · 08/03/2020 18:08

Afternoon everyone.

green* must be a huge relief about dd2. Great idea about training.

Glad you had a good holiday.
*
pom* I'm desperate for a glass but I don't drink well at home. Just makes me sleepy.
*
sol* how are you getting on??

I weighed myself today and I'm 11st 6lbs I guess that's not bad as I haven't been dieting.

Racheyg · 09/03/2020 08:52

I feel if I write it down, I might try and stick I it.

Breakfast - Greek yogurt, berries and home made granola
Lunch - saag panner
Dinner- ???
Snack - pink lady and easy peelers

I'm going to try and go to the gym tonight. Depends how my day is at work.

Hope everyone has a good Monday xx

Racheyg · 10/03/2020 08:43

Did not stick to plan yesterday. I think I came on at 1200 cals. After exercise.

I had a good work out. I tried to mix it up as I want to change my body shape and strengthen. My sister says I should be a PT 😂

Has any one got known cases in their areas?? We haven't, but my boss knows a few that have had to self isolate.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 16/03/2020 14:25

Hi. Sorry I disappeared. I was really sick for a while. Bronchitis and then a weird reaction to the antibiotics which made me really sick. Back on my feet now though.

How is everyone surviving with Coronovirus? We are on a semi- lockdown here. Schools, playgrounds, pubs shit, but we can go for a walk as long as we maintain social distancing. I know it’s very different in the UK, but I’m so happy to have the kids home.

How is everyone doing?

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 17/03/2020 11:28

I’m glad that you’re feeling better Sol. Bronchitis is awful.

I’m still rubbish at dieting. I’m planning a batch cooking day tomorrow, hopefully that will help with things.

Coronavirus- I’m just trying to get get on with things as normal. I’m not a fan of social gatherings anyway!
I’d kind of like to keep the children off but we’ll see what happens. It’s very unsettling though.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 19/03/2020 08:59

What will you be making Green?

I hope you’re all safe and well over there. We’ve been on semi- shutdown here for over a week. But no mad panic buying like I’ve been seeing on Sky News and every shop has an hour or two every morning specifically for older people/carers etc to make sure everyone gets what they need. There’s a very big feeling of togetherness and community spirit.

Dieting has taken a back step for me, between the meds and everything else I have felt rubbish. But as of today I’ll stop eating after 8pm and try and make healthier choices.

God that was so weird, I lost this threat and took my ages to find it. 😭

sol sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hope your making a full recovery.

green how are you getting on?

pom how are you?

Well I'm really struggling with hone schooling and working at the same time. It's bloody tough. And I bloody miss the gym 😭😭😭😭

Greenrabbit · 24/03/2020 21:08

I wouldn’t worry about the school work too much Rachey.
Must be a nightmare trying to do both. I’m sticking to Maths and English work.

I’m okay thanks. Not much dieting going on yet!
I’m not enjoying the homeschooling much.
Everything seems crazy. DH has to keep working as they are part of a supply chain. Worrying about my parents.
We all just need to be kind to ourselves at the moment.

Hope you’re getting better Sol. The batch cooking ended up being soup and a couple of curries for the freezer.

How are you Pom?

Take care everyone x

Pomegranatepompom · 04/04/2020 10:34

Morning !

Sorry I’ve not been around - not been in diet zone at all. I really need to get my act together - I’m very big...

Hope evening is keeping well and that isolation is not too trying. I think I’d go crazy being gone all the time, it’s been a bit stressful @ work, I really feel for the itu staff, we’re aiming to support them as much as possible.

Take care everyone.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/04/2020 06:30

Hi everyone,
I hope you’re all well. I’m a proper lockdown fatty now, we’ve been on lockdown for over 5 weeks now and my weight has crept up. Today is the day I bring in diet lockdown, no more snacking.

I hope you’re all staying safe and well.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 17/04/2020 06:45

Me too Sol. I haven’t braved the scales yet.
Diet lockdown 🤣- brilliant!
I’m going to start tracking everything I eat. Snacking is too easy at the moment.

We are all well thanks.
The DC are getting slightly bored and missing school. DH is still at work so sometimes the days seem quite long. The good weather has certainly helped though and I’m so grateful to have a garden.
I hope you are good too.

How are you @Racheyg and @Pomegranatepompom?

Racheyg · 17/04/2020 06:56

Morning all,

I am glad you are all safe and well with your families.

I am also a lockdown fatty!! I've put on 7lbs. It's a combo of 1 drinking too much, 2 eating what ever I like and 3 not giving a fk which isn't such a great combo.

I'm trying to exercise, I started running and hurt my knee so just did some hitt work outs at home and got my road bike out - it's not the same. I will try and get a grasp on it and some point.

I kinda guess my Vegas holiday in June is not going ahead and our family holiday in July too!!

Did you guys have holidays booked?

I'm going into the office 2 mornings a week and dh taking off these as holiday, but I have no idea what we are going to do as from next week as the lockdown has been extended. I'm going crazy with home schooling I hate it. Ds2 is going to be so behind

Good news is we have brought a dog. A little Frenchie girl. She is only two weeks so not ready until way past lock down.

@Pomegranatepompom - how are you all?
@Greenrabbit are you working from home? What does dh do?
sol how are you? Is DJ working from home?

Greenrabbit · 17/04/2020 07:18

Hi @Racheyg

I’m so excited about your dog! Frenchies are adorable.
Mine has been hard work at times but he’s worth it. Puppy training classes are really worth going to!

It’s such a shame about the holidays. Will you be able to rearrange them? We didn’t have any booked, we are so pleased that we got to go in February.

DH is an engineer. They are part of a medical supply chain so still have plenty of work. I just sort his paperwork from home anyway.

Pomegranatepompom · 17/04/2020 10:04

Hello everyone,

Another fattie here. Work has been so stressful and 2 of my colleagues are in intensive care. We're all so unsettled and upset, we've been eating all the time at work when we can. People have been so kind and are brining in lunch for us.

I am going to try harder though. Want to be healthy.

Lovely news on puppy although I am not a dog person, I know Green is.
I'm wavering on a cat.

We had holidays booked May and August but we've had all leave cancelled anyway, I need to try and get refunds where I can.
I wonder when we will be happy to travel again?

Stay safe all
x

SolitudeSometimesIs · 19/04/2020 21:28

Ah my online lovelies. I’m so happy you’re all safe and well.

I’m so sorry to hear about your colleagues Pom, I have friends and family who are frontline staff and I’m so scared for them. We’re thinking of a cat too. Something nice to have after all of this is done and the kids will love it.

Rachey don’t worry about homeschool. The advice from the government here is that everyone is in the same boat, no one is falling behind because school is closed and most importantly, we are parents - our job is not to teach but to ensure our kids are safe and well and healthy and are in a position to go back to school when they open. Don’t put pressure on yourself. Everyone is in the same boat. Your kids won’t come out of this so sad that you didn’t spend the time teaching them maths, they’ll look back and know how safe you made them feel.

Green my kids have been seeing their friends over WhatsApp on my phone. They play Minecraft and talk to each other. Which really eats in to my looking shit up on the internet time, but it helps keep them in contact. Is that an option for your kids?

We had 3 holidays planned and they all look like they will be cancelled. It’s ok though. It’s only for now and we will be able to go to those places soon and not be nervous.

I’m so glad you are all safe and well. What a shitty time we’re all going through.

Happy Friday guys.

Here’s to happier times very soon 💐🍸

Pomegranatepompom · 25/04/2020 22:52

Hello- just wondering if any interest in a WhatsApp group? PM me if so and I will set up.
Equally happy to just keep posting on here and I will try harder!

Racheyg · 26/04/2020 13:15

Morning/afternoon all,

Yes I am definitely up for a what's app group. I need to be more present and accountable 😂

Greenrabbit · 26/04/2020 13:27

Yes, I’ll do that too.

Pomegranatepompom · 26/04/2020 17:04

Shall we just wait to see how Sol feels?

We can continue here if not x

Pomegranatepompom · 01/05/2020 13:31

The only way is up (also a good 80's song !)

I'm doing 3x 800 cal days.

Just blow-dried hair and about to do make up.

Ordered clothes from hush. Boden and John Lewis.

Trying to be more positive,.

How are you all?

Racheyg · 01/05/2020 22:14

Whoop whoop way to go @Pomegranatepompom

I on the other hand have not washed my hair for 4 days. It's a mess at the moment.

But I have ordered a few nice dresses and a new leather jacket

Although I have no idea why I'm spending so itch money on clothes as I prob won't be able to wear them anytime soon
