New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!

I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Oh new puppy!!! How exciting. Have you a name for him/her? I adore dogs but DH has an allergy to certain types and I just want a mongrel.

I’ve been changing the bedsheets every 2 days in the heat, just pillow cases, sheets and fitted sheet - the kids have been sweating like mad at night. There have been some violent burglaries in the area with windows left open at night and it freaks me out.

I need to get back on calorie counting. DS2 deleted MFP off my phone so I need to get it back.

How’s the new puppy settling in Green? What a lovely start to the weekend.

We had a takeaway pizza for dinner here as we were mad late home from a play date and the kids were starving. I am lying on my bed in agony with stomach cramps, I haven’t had so many carbs in one go and genuinely feel sick after a few slices - and soooo bloated. I could actually cry. This has made me reevaluate everything about my diet. I am in bits.

I hope you’re feeling better Sol. I sometimes get like that after certain foods. I’ve found that increasing my fibre helps a lot. It’s not nice.

Puppy seems to be settling in. I do keep thinking ‘why have I done this’ 🤣

So after a night of severe discomfort I have decided that on Monday I will be starting the Fast 800 diet. I’m out for dinner tonight and have the whole family coming for lunch tomorrow otherwise I would start it today. I felt absolutely dreadful last night and I think this might be the moment that makes me get myself in order.

I am going to meal plan a weeks worth of recipes and log them on MFP so I can track progress and really stick to it. I know Mondays are always my start over day, but this time I mean it. I can’t go on like this.

Oh my God Green 😍😍😍
How gorgeous is he??!! Are you in love? He looks like a jellycat soft toy instead of an animal, that is adorable.

Day One of Fast 800 here. I have my meal plan for the day and I’m feeling confident. I’ve been reading here a lot about it and apparently it’s great if you have a lot to lose, which I really do, at least 5 stone. It feels very overwhelming to admit that but I feel adamant that this has to stop.

I weighed myself this morning and I have put on 10lbs in the last 6 weeks which is grim. I absolutely hate being this size and feeling so sluggish and large. I have so many folds on my body I look like a lard avalanche. It’s depressing.

So today I will have my 800 cals, I will do 50 sit ups and plank as long as I can 5 times. Then also do some weights for my arms. Not huge exercise but enough to get me started.

Wish me luck!

Day One complete. Sort of screwed up on lunch as I was starving and swapped dinner and lunch around. I’m not starving now or anything, but I don’t feel full. We’re watching a movie and the kids are horsing in to freshly made popcorn, the smell is amazing. But I haven’t had any.

I’ve spent weak moments reading the thread on the F800 plan in the fasting section on here. Some of the people there have lost 23 lbs in 5 weeks and most have lost at least 19lbs by the end of 4 weeks, which would bring me back to the kids going back to school. I would love to be 19lbs lighter by then.

I’m off to meal plan for tomorrow.

How’s everyone else getting on ?

4.2lbs down this morning. I know it’s all water but I love a bit of quick loss to motivate me. Here’s to Day Two.

Sorry I’m spamming this page, fingers that type are ones aren’t trying to eat food they shouldn’t.

Hey sol well done on your lose. I've been really struggling here due to lots of social things and my pure gluttony.

I'm not doing anything until Monday then I'll do a week of jd then back on low carb.

What are you eating? Sounds great if your staying full.

I'm so desperate for a pair of Dm sandals but the price tag is rather off putting 😢

Pomegranatepompom · 30/07/2019 08:26

Well done Sol I hear people have great results with that diet. Sorry to hear about pizza incident.

We are back from our weekend away. I'm starting again today.... I feel huge.
Hope you had a great weekend Rachey Sounded like so !
Puppy loves very cute Green How are you? Are you away over the summer?

I'm off to do a post about spiders, Im petrified of them and we got back to 2 huge monsters Shock I can't live on my nerves for next few months, I barely slept last night. I should have considered that old houses might be worse Sad

SolitudeSometimesIs · 30/07/2019 15:30

Oh no Pom, I hate spiders. Are they massive? Our house has loads too since it started to rain on Sunday night, it’s an invasion.

It’s hard to stick to the plan when you have life going on Rachey, good plan to enjoy yourself and worry about it next week.

My menu today was:
Breakfast: Alpro yogurt thing and 2 coffees.
Lunch: 2 big field mushrooms stuffed with layered aubergine and tomato and topped with Parmesan cheese, I grilled it and then had it with the rest of the tomato and a bag of salad.
Dinner: Cauliflower rice with red onion, paprika and chickpeas and 2 quorn sausages.
Snack: Vodka and Diet Coke.

Yes I know the vodka is a bad idea but my friend got engaged so we’re going for a few drinks. I’ll drink Diet Coke for the rest of the night but I want one drink.

And that’s 800 calories.

Pomegranatepompom · 30/07/2019 18:06

Fab menu Sol and good to get a vodka in.

Pomegranatepompom · 30/07/2019 18:07

Yes big S..... I can't almost bare to type it. We are going to have to spray the house I think.
I'm so anxious about it, had proper panic attack last night.
I di an AIBU post and got some good advice.

Pomegranatepompom · 30/07/2019 18:47

Random question, DS has mentioned a PS4. He has not been interesting in this type of thing before but some of his friends play the football game. Any views? what age is ok? Is it quite addictive ??

Racheyg · 30/07/2019 22:24

How old is ds pom 8 or 9 (sorry I can't remember) ds1 plays on his dads Xbox occasionally. I don't really agree with it as he gets frustrated with it, and I don't think he is emotionally ready but Only really plays Lego city.

So it's not as if he is getting sucked in, and there can be educational games, we have a parental
Control in there too.

Is dh into games? I know lots of kids love Nintendo switches as they are easy games ect.

Pomegranatepompom · 31/07/2019 07:01

No DH doesn’t play games. DS is 8 and I think just wants to play Fifa 19 - whatever that is !

Racheyg · 31/07/2019 08:04

Ok, dh loves fifa it's a football game. I think it can be quite difficult to start with as it's quick and a lot of setting up in regards to setting your team up. I'm only going on what I see when dh plays it though.

I'm guessing his friends have it, hence the interest.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 31/07/2019 10:13

Yes , get the house sprayed Pom, much more cost effective than burning it to the ground. I have no advice about gaming stuff, we don’t have any Xbox or anything but DS1 has informed me he’s getting a switch for Christmas.

My day went well yesterday but I ended up having 2 vodkas, but that was it. So about 70 cals over. I lost another 4lbs today so 8.5lbs off in 2 days. Feeling very positive going in to Day 3.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 31/07/2019 12:46

Bloody hell Sol, maybe I’ll do it too !

Pomegranatepompom · 31/07/2019 12:47

Thanks Rachey - I’ll talk to DS.

Spider update - cost £300 for professional spray. DH finding out about chemicals but is apparently child friendly- need to be sure !!!

SolitudeSometimesIs · 31/07/2019 13:53

My kids are eating crisps and the smell is amazing. I am struggling!

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 31/07/2019 13:54

Does a professional spray guarantee they’d all be dead? That’s what I would want to know.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 31/07/2019 14:03

3 month guarantee- they come to check after 1 month.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 31/07/2019 21:38

Well that sounds good Pom, especially the coming back bit. And if it gives you peace of mind it will be worth every penny.

I had crisps. I’m so furious with myself. If I lose anything tomorrow it will be a miracle.
