I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Sorry to hear you’re having a hard week Rachey. And don’t beat yourself up, 11.2 is brilliant. You are so hard on yourself.

Green feel free to come to my house and sort my garden, it’s such a mess. I’m obsessed with my steps too, I got a mii band for Christmas and it’s addictive.

I hope you’re feeling better Pom.

I lost 6lbs this week. My diet is boring as all hell but it’s fine and it’s working, I even went out last night and had a salad for dinner! I’m hoping for 4lbs this week but we’ll see how it goes.

Well done oh your losses!

Didn't have a great weekend as felt so ill, skipping weight in.

Have a great week, new clothes sounds great Green, my garden also needs sorting (waits in line after Sol).

Hope work and school not so stressful Rachey.

6lbs is amazing Sol. whats a typical day food wise?

Racheyg · 21/05/2019 08:33

What did you buy green care to share? Was it wardrobe staples or lots of nice little outfits?

pom I hope your feeling better?

sol what kind of diet are you doing? 6lbs in your first week is amazing.

Not feeling great today, have a water infection and been up since 3.30 😢 work still much the same. Dh has lots of job interviews lined up so as soon as his salary is confirmed I'll hand my notice in and then look for another job that can be flexible around the kids and closer to home. I'm really nervous work will make it awful for me after handing my notice in but it has to be done.

Greenrabbit · 21/05/2019 10:36

Nothing exciting Rachey, mainly just some trousers and tops that fit!

Can you get some antibiotics?
How much notice do you have to give? They don’t sound very nice.

6lb is amazing Sol! I’m also interested in your menu.

Hope you are feeling better now Pom.

Still plodding on with sensible eating. It’s actually quite enjoyable really. I just can’t shake the feeling that I should try to lose it quickly. But that hasn’t worked well for me. I just gain more every time.

Racheyg · 22/05/2019 08:17

Thanks green, I have to give 8 weeks. It's a shame as I like the job that I do. I have to leave as dh won't be as flexible and I can't get to the school in time with my hours.

I'm with you on the losing weight fast thing, I have noticed that this year alone I have lost and put on the same 8lbs 4 times. That can't be good. I need to refocus. No more fad diets, no binge eating, try no picking and snacking and just manage my portions and meals better.

X

SolitudeSometimesIs · 24/05/2019 06:35

Sorry to hear you’re not well Rachey, I second just getting antibiotics. I hope work won’t be awful to you when you hand in your notice, there’s nothing you can do if you need to be home for your children.

How are you feeling Pom?

Green you sound like you’re in a really good headspace. I know healthy eating can be a bit dull but it’s bettwr than torturing yourself on mad diets.

Speaking of which, here’s mine:
Breakfast: 2 coffees

Mid morning: Cup of soup

Lunch: Hummous and carrot sticks.

Dinner: Cauliflower rice, tofu and either curry sauce or terriyaki and soy sauce.

It’s not super low calorie, I think about 1000 depending on the hummous but it’s full of protein, low carb and really tasty. I buy the frozen packets of cauliflower rice because I’m too lazy to make it and it doesn’t have that awful smell.

Right, I better go and get the kids up for school. Have a good day everyone.

I've been rubbish, I'm now facing a fat summer so decided on very strict weekend.
Hope you are feeling better Rachey
Menu sounds very goof Sol think will investigate cauliflower rice.
Good work on the sensible eating Green

Pomegranatepompom · 27/05/2019 17:04

I’ve tried but scales not budging, think I am peri menopausal Hmm
DH has sickness bug as did DC earlier in the week, of course DH has a worse version. Overall it’s been a trying weekend. Hope everyone else had a better one !

Racheyg · 28/05/2019 08:18

Morning all,

Feeling much better got antibiotics in the end as the sachet stuff wasn't shifting it 😢 didn't go to the gym all week but still are like a 🐷😬

It's ds2 4th birthday today, when did my baby get so big????

I'm starting fresh today, healthy eating slow and steady....

pom sorry to hear no budge on the scales, I'm so dumb, what's peri menopausal? Do you have any good plans for half term?

sol I'm joining you on the cauliflower rice I had some last night mixed with roasted courgette, tomatoes and peppers and chicken. Was quite nice.

How are you getting on?

green how are you? Are you doing anything over half term it's the kids?

Meal plan today -
Breakfast - spinach, avocado and tomatoes
Lunch - chicken and cauliflower rice (left overs from yesterday)
Dinner - salmon stir fry

Greenrabbit · 28/05/2019 16:27

Glad to hear that you’re feeling better Rachey.

Happy Birthday to DS2. Have a lovely day.

I’m fine thanks. Ate and drank far too much this weekend.
I haven’t made many plans for this week. We are all feeling very lazy!
We went to an open air museum this morning but it started to rain heavily and was cold so we left!

Sorry about the scales Pom. I hope everyone is starting to feel better now.

Your menu is nice Sol, hope you’re doing well.

Racheyg · 29/05/2019 08:37

Thanks green. Argh such a shame the weather wasn't great. Do you have the whole week off?

Ds1 has got so much homework to do, I think I'm going to have to try and get some of that done in the next few days.

How is the sensible eating going?

sol how are things? You guys don't have half term do you? Are you on course of you 1st loss?

pom is everyone feeling better at home?

I've woke with a splitting headache this morning and ds2 was playing up 😢

Have tried to reduce my carb in take this week. So eating a lot of cauliflower rice, spinach, eggs...
And reducing my fruit in take, I was consuming so much sugar by the amount of fruit I eat.

Meal plan today
Breakfast- 2x boiled eggs, spinach and avocado
Lunch - cauliflower rice with roasted veg and lamb kofta and tziatki
Dinner - egg omelette stir fry
Snack - handful of nuts

Racheyg · 30/05/2019 13:24

Afternoon all,

How's the weather where you are? It's pretty muggy here in east London. Just at soft play as I'm feeling pretty lazy 😬

Weighed myself today I should have on Monday when I started eating healthy on Monday. I'm 11st 2lbs.

Today's meal plan-
Lunch - lamb kofta, cauliflower cous cous with roasted veg and tzitiki (I can never spell it 😬)
Dinner - salmon with stir fry veg

Just heard dh has been offered a new job it's a 10k pay rise which is good, but the require more of his time. I'm nervous as dh can no longer do pick ups so will be left to me, I need to find a job with really good hours

Racheyg · 01/06/2019 18:40

Evening all,

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine ☀️

I'm doing ok diet wise, just trying to be careful and low carb it. Although I did have a Indian last night but had tandoori mixed grill and made my own cauliflower rice, with the yogurt dip.

I think I'm averaging at 25-30g of carbs a day. It's hard as carbs feature in nearly everything.

Today took the kids to a splash park, and sat in the sun all day. Took a picnic everyone chowed down on crisps, sandwiches and ice cream and I had roasted chicken, with broccoli rice and spinach 😢

For Dinner I did quorn fajita and instead of tortilla I had little gem lettuce leaves, wasn't the same but hey ho, this is better than starving myself exante ect

Anyone watching the football tonight?

New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!
Greenrabbit · 02/06/2019 10:31

Hi Rachey.
We’ve not had much sunshine this week. But it’s still been a nice half term.

Diet hasn’t gone well at all. We’ve been celebrating DH’s 40th this weekend so there’s been a lot of food and drink involved.
I’m too scared to weigh myself today! I’m sitting and trying to think of what I should do with diets.

Your Indian was inspired! I’ll have to remember that. Your food sounds nice for yesterday too.
Have you had anymore thoughts about work?

How are you both getting on Pom and Sol?

Racheyg · 02/06/2019 10:50

Happy birthday mr green

I hope you and your family have had fun celebrating green.

When the celebrations have finished why don't you join me on low carb? I'm still eating good fresh food but have to control my carbs, you can still drink, vodka and slim line tonic has zero carbs. But adding lime adds carbs.

Greenrabbit · 02/06/2019 11:29

It was a good weekend Rachey. I did have to go to bed with the kids last night! I feel amazing now though 🤣

I’ll join you with low carbing. I just need to be consistent really.
There shouldn’t be too many more celebrations for awhile so I should be able to commit properly ( this seems to help me mentally for some reason).
I’m also wanting to start doing strength training.

Racheyg · 02/06/2019 16:35

So glad you all had a good time green. Did he want anything particular for his birthday?

Dh is easy to buy for, I just get him a session with a tattooist, some nice clothes (as he doesn't spend much money on clothes) or art work.

I'm going to find it tough in the next few weeks, have 3 bbqs to go to🙈 but I'm really going to try, even though I'm still eating carbs I've greatly reduced my intake.

I'm really struggling today, I'm tired and hungry.

Did my 8am spin I think I burnt around 700 cals.
Breakfast - 2 x Linda macartney sausages, scrambled Eggs and avocado with hot sauce. - 400 cals 6g carbs
Lunch - tuna and mayo salad with full fat mayo - about 300 cals 3g carbs
Dinner - veggie meat balls in tomato sauce and courgette about 300 cals 12g carbs

Snack - 5 x cocktail sausages
Iced coffee with full fat cream

Racheyg · 03/06/2019 09:35

Argh I messed up big time yesterday. Went way over😢

Start fresh today
Breakfast - 2x boiled eggs with spinach and avocado
Lunch - roast chicken, broccoli rice, spinach and tomatoes
Dinner - grilled salmon with creamed spinach and green beans.

I feel so sick today, I have to hand my notice in. This is all I've known for 16 years, and I don't have another job to go to. All the jobs I've seen are nearly 10k less than I get now. But family comes first

Racheyg · 03/06/2019 09:35

How is everyone getting on?

Racheyg · 04/06/2019 08:45

Morning all,

I chicken out.....I didn't hand my notice in. I'll do it today 😬

Meal plan pretty much the same as yesterday except for dinner which I'll have a salad after the gym.

Omg I've just discovered almond butter on celery sticks......it's delish and I hate celery. I'm really trying to eat healthy, low carb foods but my fat content and cals have gone up. I'm below 1400 daily (only just) so I'm hoping it so t have too much of an effect on the scales.

How is everyone getting on?

Pomegranatepompom · 04/06/2019 09:15

Good luck with work Rachey.
I’ve not been dieting - busy socially and with work functions.
Hope you had a great weekend Green and DH had a lovely birthday.
Hope all ok Sol.
Will post later this week.

Greenrabbit · 04/06/2019 09:20

I hope it goes well Rachey.

I love celery. It’s nice with cheese spread too.
I’m sure you’ll see a shift on the scales.

I ate loads yesterday. I’m so tired. I feel even worse today.
DH is planning on a health kick so that’s good news anyway.

Pomegranatepompom · 04/06/2019 09:27

I was out for dinner last night and had s bottle of Prosecco and somehow managed 2 starters Shock
