New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!

I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

I’ve also not been very motivated. Lots of Birthdays this week.

I’m now in my last year of my 30s and I’ve decided that I have to get myself sorted out before my next Birthday!

Using MFP and tracking everything! It’s making me make better choices and I’m definitely more aware of frittering away my cals on things I won’t be full after eating.

Going to start a very strict calorie diet for the next month. No carbs, no wine, no fun. But we’re off on holiday in June and I want a stone gone by then. I tried on my swimsuit and I looked like a turkey, all pale and lumpy and awful. And 2 of my maxi dresses don’t fit either, I’m so fat.

ok I'm starting Monday. I think I need to be super strict too Sol (although I have a night out Thursday ...)
I. bet you don't look like a Turkey. I'm sure you can lose a stone. I've a day out in June so I'd like to lose a stone by then too.

pom and sol how was your weekends?

I started JD yesterday. I need something drastic. I have to stick to it. Ds2 turns four in 2 weeks and I'll see family so I can't look like a mess. (My sil always looks amazing)

I'm armed with
1 boiled egg and grapefruit
Grilled chicken, tomatoes and 1slice of toast

I’m being very strict. I’m so fat and it’s warm here and I hate the sweaty, grubbiness of being fat and warm. So I had a cuppa soup at morning break and hummous and carrot sticks for lunch. So dull and boring. I have broccoli and tofu curry for dinner. I’m aiming for a stone gone before 10th of June, so 4 weeks to go.

Good luck with JD Rachey, we can struggle on together. Are you on for a strict week too Pom?

We can do this sol - your menu sounds good, I love hummus 😍 I might start making my own to try and cut out the amount of oil used.

Day 3 of JD today. I was a little naughty yesterday and had a slice of ham 😢 I hope it won't effect my loss too much. I'm hoping for 7lbs then I'll start back up again nxt week.

My friend has just finished a week of juicing and lost 10lbs. I've never juiced before. But sounds good, not sure I could resist food though

I’m at 1200 cals today and now planning to fast until 1200 tomorrow.
You and Sol sound very motivated. Well done on day 3, I can’t believe a slice of ham will cause any damage.

Thanks pom I have to be. My clothes are so tight it's getting very uncomfortable 😣

I'm heading home after a 1hr body pump and 30 min spin session. I normally do a full 45 min spin but I've just come on half way through the class and I feel yucky.

I'm trying to mix it up at the gym as well I might not burn so many cals but I wasn't losing weight just spinning.

I don't mind jd but I'm not a huge meat eater and I can't find the veggie version online.

Weighed myself and I'm 11st 2.5 lbs. I want to be 10 1/2 in 4 weeks, then my friend is having a bbbq and lots of people will be there that haven't seen me since my wedding so I'm desperate to lose some more weight maybe 10st? Is that to unrealistic?

Rachey you sound like you’re doing great. A slice of ham won’t cause any problems. I used to use the same weight in tofu/eggs/quorn when doing JD. It worked out fine.

I did a juice diet once Pom, I had acid reflux and the worst spots you’ve ever seen, and I was violently hungry. Longest 3 days of my life, and it was supposed to be for 7 but I couldn’t hack it.

I’m still sticking to my diet. Day 2 and still fat. It’s very disappointing.

Rachey - maybe aim for 10.5 as first goal? Good idea to change routine at gym. I need to add something into running. Thinking of Pilates.

Afternoon all, how is everyone?

Day 5 of JD I'm glad no eggs today.

I've had 1 slice of toast and then lunch is fruit salad. Dinner is sea bass and salad. I don't think I'll have lost a stone, maybe 5lbs, I'll be very happy with 7lbs.

Next week I'm going to be good then start back up after the bank holiday

Not having a good week here, work is shit and ds1 is constantly in trouble. at school at the minute. I don't think his teacher understands him or know how to deal with him so she is always telling him off.

We had assembly today and he had his legs crossed and she told him off and he had to sit with his hands on his knees. Then we waved at him so he waved back and got in trouble for that........ it's become ridiculous!

Day 6 of jd here. I'm so hungry and tired. I'm desperate to weigh myself but I'm going to wait till tomorrow. I'm really hoping to be 11st (I'll be even more happy with less 😁)

Lost a pound this week.
I was still finding it difficult to stick to low calories. I’m just going to accept that slow weight loss and normal eating suits me more (otherwise I’m either ‘dieting’ or ‘bingeing’)
As I’m so fat I’ve ordered new clothes just to make myself feel better (And because everything else was looking terrible!)
Trying to increase my steps every day. I’m also quite obsessed with gardening at the moment which seems to be improving my mood and I’m not thinking about food so much Grin

DS teacher doesn’t sound great either.
