I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Hi.

We all have a stomach bug so it’s been a grim few days here. On the plus side I’ve lost 2lbs. The kids have been completely floored by it so I’ve cancalled all our Easter plans and we’re going to spend the time off recovering.

As soon as I feel human again I’m going to try fasting and focus on eating healthy food and taking care of my body. I need to build up some reserves again, I feel wiped.

I hope everyone else is well.

Pomegranatepompom · 15/04/2019 21:13

Weigh in tomorrow. I'm having easter weekend off so won't weigh in next week.

very hormonal ! annoying...

Hope everyone had a good Monday.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/04/2019 21:20

Let us know how you do Pom, you’re right to have some time off too.

Rachey that sounds like my sort of weekend!

We’re all feeling a bit better here, everyone managed to eat and keep it down so feeling optimistic. Thinking of starting fasting on Weds.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 15/04/2019 21:34

rachey I think good to start next week Smile I'm sure you don't look fat.

sol glad to hear feeling bit better.

What fast will you do?

Pomegranatepompom · 16/04/2019 08:22

2lb off - will try and stick up 1000 cals mon- fri. Might pop a couple of 800 days in too.

Have a good day everyone.

Greenrabbit · 16/04/2019 13:17

Hi everyone, I’ve been away for the weekend and I’ve ate and drank loads.

I’m aiming to have sensible meals for the rest of the week. I’m sure I’ll be indulging at the weekend.
I’m going to have an 800 cal week starting on Monday.

I hope you all feel better now Sol. Well done on the 2lb (and your 2lb Pom)

How are you doing Rachey and Hands?

Pomegranatepompom · 16/04/2019 14:11

Tempted by 800 cals with you Green. From Tuesday ?
Hope you had a great weekend x

Greenrabbit · 16/04/2019 16:20

Yes Tuesday will probably be easier. I forgot about the bank holiday!

We had a lovely time thanks.

We’ve been so lazy today and stayed in. I’ve bribed the girls to clean all of the painted woodwork with wipes Grin.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/04/2019 10:35

Starting my 7 hour fasting today. Or the fasting for the other hours of the day. Intermittent fasting? Whatever it’s called, Im doing it. I haven’t added up my calories yet but it’s vegan steak for the first meal and dhal with rice for dinner. Trying to low carb and make better food choices.

Pom and Green there is no way I could do 800 cals for a week, you two are hardcore. Definitely best to leave it until after the bank holiday though.

How are you getting on Rachey and HandsOff?

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 18/04/2019 06:46

How was your fast day Sol ? Your menu sounded lovely.
I did a 800 day yesterday.

Have a good Thursday everyone.

Greenrabbit · 18/04/2019 10:40

I may be all talk Sol Grin. I actually need to start first.

Pom is far more disciplined than me.

How did your fasting go yesterday? (And what is a vegan steak?!)

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/04/2019 11:58

Day One was fine, day two is a different beast. I’m starving. DS2 woke up really early so the day has seemed so long until I could eat, I have a curry and naan bread for lunch, it was supposed to be for dinner but I am so hungry. I’ll start eating at 12pm.

What did you eat yesterday Pom? And how did you feel? I would be murderous.

Green vegan steaks are available in Tesco, they’re by vivera and taste nothing like steak but are a handy blast of protein. My carnivore husband is horrified by their very existence.

I have a vegan steak for dinner and maybe some roast butternut squash to go with it.

Pomegranatepompom · 18/04/2019 12:50

You can do it Green - we did before the holidays.

Well done Sol, sorry about your early start.
I had nuts/ yogurt/ raspberries
Crackers and a cheese portion.
Aiming for 1200 today. Just had a peanut butter sandwich ?350 cals.
How are you Rachey and hands off ?

Greenrabbit · 18/04/2019 13:54

I think I feel the same as your husband Sol!
I hope you enjoyed it anyway and are feeling better after your curry.

I’m feeling more positive at the moment Pom. I think it will be a great kickstart.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/04/2019 14:13

I feel great after my lunch and fuller on less food than I would normally have. I think having a bigger meal is the best way to stop me hitting the crisps. I’m trying to stay busy too, so my hands don’t wander over to the biscuit tin.

Well done on your 800 cals Pom, your menu sounds nice, I haven’t had peanut butter in ages, I love the stuff.

Glad to hear you’re feeling more positive Green, is it the Spring feeling, I always feel ready for new changes in Spring.

Wow you guys all sound so motivated. I'm away and lots of socialising so I'm not doing anything till next Tuesday. I'm not even exercising and I'm really missing it 😢

SolitudeSometimesIs · 20/04/2019 16:24

Enjoy your holiday and we can all get back on track on Tuesday Rachey.

I have to confess, I went to M&S and spent an absolute fortune on salads and healthy ready meals to see me through the weekend. DS2 is not sleeping, he’s woken every morning at 3 am and is up until 10.30 most nights. DH is away and I have lost my mind. I want to stick to fasting as I can manage it, but all I want is sugary shitty food or a takeaway by the time the kids have finally settled for the night and that’s no good for me. So I have spent what I would normally spend in a weeks on groceries to see me through until Tuesday.

All the shops are full of lovely Summer clothes and I don’t want to spend this Summer like I did last year, feeling like a fat lump.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 20/04/2019 17:49

Hey sol,

Wow you sounds really motivated. Im so sorry ds2 not sleeping well. Such a great idea about popping to M&S takes the hassle out of cooking.

I have seen some nice clothes but determined not to buy clothes to fit me how I am now.

I'm wearing a white linen dress today which I'm shocked still fits. As I'm a good 1.5 stone heavier than last summer.

I'm chilling in the garden drinking a glass of red. I need this week to be over so I can get on track.

Have you got your eye on anything sol I have seen some nice linen jumpsuits but not sure whether they will look ok?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 20/04/2019 19:03

I was drinking wine in the sunshine earlier too, it was heaven. I was in New Look earlier and they have some gorgeous maxi dresses which I was tempted by. I have big boobs and a big arse so jumpsuits don’t sit well on me unless they’re structured. I’m on a mission not to buy anything until I’ve dropped a clothes size, so instead I’ve spent a fortune on make up.

If you want I’ll join you in a strict week next week?

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 20/04/2019 20:20

I also have wine!

I think the M&S food is a great idea Sol. Sounds like you’ve had a rough week. It’s a great way to stay in control.
I find that New Look is quite generous round the bust, especially in the plus size range (but I think it starts at an 18)

We’ll all be strict next week x

Have a great weekend Rachey don’t stress about exercise. Just enjoy it. (as they say- you’re a long time dead!)

Hope you both have a great weekend Pom and Hands

SolitudeSometimesIs · 21/04/2019 09:19

Happy Easter!

My kids are happily munching their eggs for breakfast and watching tv, not a care in the world.

I hope everyone has a lovely day today, enjoy the food, your families and sunshine. We’ll all get back on plan next week.
