New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!

I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Welcome back Green, that’s so cool that you met Pom, maybe we should all try to get to Florida for a meet up next year?

I’ve never had medjool dates Rachey, are they nice? I can’t really eat fruit since being pregnant with DS2 as it made me really sick. Surely your spin class burned them off, you always manage to burn off so many cals.

I ended up having some popcorn and lentil crisps last night. No idea if that’s done any major damage but I was ravenous. I’ve a really long day today with appoints for DS2, work and a PTA meeting so I’m hoping to stick to Exante and if not I’ll have to grab something low carb. That’s the only good thing about Exante, it’s made me never want to eat heavy carbs again, I feel so much better off pasta, rice and bread.

Omg sol they are the most amazing, sticky sweet things ever. A lot of "healthy" bakers use them in baking but they are still calorific.

I'm sure the popcorn and lentil crisps will be fine. Have you tried the slim pasta made from a Japanese root veg? They sell them in Holland and Barrett. - not the greatest sub for pasta I'd rather corgetti.

How did the pta meeting go?

green were they American style or crepe pancakes? Either way the sound delish 😋 I cant have Nutella in the house. 1. Sends the boys crazy and 2. I'll eat it all 😳

Ds2 is really misbehaving at the moment to the point of not wanting to spend time with him. His tantrums are off the scale.

Me and dh are off to champneys next week. I do can't wait 😊

Meal plan today -
Breakfast - Greek yogurt, berries and banana
Snack - mango
Lunch - tuna mayo salad and pink lady
Snack - veggie crudités
Dinner - prawn and egg stir fry

Phew, spin and circuit session today. Burnt 1118 cals. Pretty chuffed with that. Although I have had 3 salt and vinegar rice cakes with peanut butter and banana 😳.

How is everyone getting on?

I'm just at dc2 tumble tot class and lots of mums are pregnant. God I'm broody 😂

Rachey that is an insane amount of calories to burn. You must have worked out like a maniac. Are you going to Champneys without the kids? Is it a kid free place?

The PTA meeting was good, lots of good feedback from the teachers, but my stomach rumbled the whole way through. This Exante is killing me. I have been having some nuts during the day to stave over the belly rumbles. Not weighed myself yet. Dreading it.

I can’t seen to get back to being strict again. I’m being healthy but it won’t be enough for weight loss.

Today’s plan-
Yogurt/granola/fruit
Toast with avocado and egg
Salmon and salad.

What are the weekend plans ?
I’m doing a lot of ferrying children around and gardening- al glamour !

I had a shock on the scales this morning. Time to get serious!

Did a fast paced 30min this morning. I didn’t fancy doing it as it was freezing but I forced myself to do a big loop back to the car after dropping the kids off (We always park five mins walk away).
Feeling much more motivated now.
I’m trying to follow the Chloe Madeley book again.

I’m 40 next year and I’ve decided that I want to lose 70lb by then.
It sounds horrific wrote down. But it’s less than 6lb per month.
I need to challenge myself and be consistent.

I didn’t have a great weekend either. Lots of healthy food but my snacks were crap and there were loads of them. Also coming up to TOTM so feeling really sluggish and grumpy.

Well done on your walk Green, I need to start doing walks again. My motivation is lacking.

Can anyone recommend a really good hair dye brand to cover greys? Mine are really starting to come through but I can’t afford a trip to the salon. I have really dark brown hair naturally but I don’t mind going a bit lighter.

Ah better run, the boss is coming. Post more later.

green that is a great goal. You can do it. Walking is a great start.

sol sorry can't help with hair dye. I used to go to the salon, but I haven't coloured my hair in 2 years. Garnier have a good rep though?

Sol - I use the L’Oréal one. I find it good.

My poor efforts last week resulted in 1lb loss. I’m going to focus!

Great goal Green - you can do it. I’ll join you in a stone off by May.

How can we help Rachey? I do think you’re a bit hard on yourself though.

1lb off last week. I was doing quite well until the weekend. I must learn some self control.

Aiming for low carb and calories this week.

Sol. I would also say L’oreal Or Garnier for dyes. John Frieda also has good reviews.
My hairdresser told me never to use Nice and Easy.

Morning everyone. Sorry for being MIA, I haven't been in the right headspace my dieting and eating healthy have gone to pot, and to top it off, my clothes don't fit.

pom and green congratulations on your losses. Are you both just being my controlled and less snacking?

sol how is/was France? We're the kids ok on the flight? Hope everyone had a great time.

I really need to sort my self out. I must be a all or nothing. I have a few bits of exante which I'm going to use up then I'll do jd for a week then when I have lost a few pounds I'll just start eating healthier.

This is my thinspiration photo. It was 1 month before my wedding and I was about 6lbs lighter than my wedding day. I think my weight was about 9 1/2 stone.
