New Year, New Motivation - The Notso’s are back on track!

I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Day 2 of exante, such a strange sleep last night. I'm not sure if it's the last episode of Luther or I was hungry but I had such strange dreams.

Breakfast - Indian rice
Lunch - sweet and sour noodles

Fuming tonight so I'll prob have a shake afterwards.

Had the Indian rice at 11.00
Then 1 can of coke at 13.00
Then 1 x oxo cube as a drink at 15.0
Will have my sweet and sour noodles at 16.30 then off to the gym.

I'm armed with pasta carbonara and sweet and sour noodles.

Also have an oxo cube and can of Diet Coke to keep me going

I think I screwed it up by eating too much last night. God what a miserable life I lead.......

Work hate the smell of the carbonara exante, I don't blame them tbh 😂

I'm just drinking a can of Diet Coke then I'll
Eat my sweet and sour noodles at 16.00 not sure whether to have another exante meal tonight or a well balanced meal?

Your week sounds just like mine Rachey. All’s good until it’s the evening and then I go a bit crazy. I lasted better today by putting a few spoonfuls of cauliflower rice in and it out we good.

We have had a very full on week and I’m so glad it’s Friday tomorrow. I’m also going to try and not drink this weekend to see if I can stay on track.

How were your holidays Pom and Green?

Not doing great this weekend and too afraid to weigh myself today. I have 5 days of Exante left so I think I will just dig in and finish it off. Overall it has been a complete waste of money as I don’t have the self discipline to stick to it and I’m in a bad cycle of trying to stick to it-self sabotage- feeling bad about myself. I’m just thankful that I’m not fatter than when I started.

DH has lost 2 stone as he is training for a marathon and he looks amazing, it’s taken years off him and I look like his fat frumpy wife. It’s so disheartening, but not so much that I stick to the plan. I actually despair of myself.

Sorry for the whinge, just feeling a bit rubbish today.

sol I'm sorry to hear of your struggle, I'm with you too. I'm finding it very tough at the moment.

What's your husband doing for training? 2st is an amazing amount to lose.

When are you off to France?

I've decided to stop "dieting" for the moment. I'm going to exercise as I am and just eat sensibly. I have to for my own mental health this whole yo yo dieting is not helping me.

Meal plan
Breakfast - Greek yogurt with mixed berries and a banana.
Snack - pink lady
Lunch - tuna salad with light mayo
snack - carrots
Dinner - fish with roasted vegetables

I'm going to try my hardest to control myself

Sorry to hear you’re finding it tough too Rachey, it’s bloody hard isn’t it? I like your idea of healthy eating and will switch to that when all my exante is gone. Your menu for the day sounds super healthy, I need some of your motivation.

DH is eating a really special diet, drinks no booze and runs miles and miles every day. He was quite overweight when he hit 40 and signed up to do a charity 5k as motivation (he wasn’t able to run the whole thing but it sparked his interest). Three years later and he is planning his first marathon and looks incredible. To be fair to him he puts in enormous effort to get the results he does, I on the other hand, am a lazy cow.

Last week of Exante here. I’m determined to stick to it and eat rid of it all. I weighed in this morning and I weigh 5lbs less than Friday so something is working, but mentally it’s been a struggle. I know that sounds so dramatic, but something in my brain has changed and I can’t cope with a very restricted diet, it really impacts on my mood.

5lbs loss is amazing sol you are far too hard on yourself. You must be so proud of your dh, I cant even run for a bus 😂

How did you get on today?

I didn't eat on plan....
Breakfast - Greek yogurt with berries and a banana
Snack - carrot
Lunch - minestrone slim a soup, pea snacks and pink lady
Snack - mango
Dinner - lightly dusted fish with roasted veg, cous cous and broccoli

Morning all,
Hope everyone is ok?

I think yesterday came in at about 900-1000 cals which isn't too bad. I actually enjoyed my food and I didn't snack on corn cakes/rice cakes etc.

Meal plan for today....
Breakfast - Greek yogurt, berries and banana
Snack - vegetable crudités
Lunch - tuna salad
Snack - mango

No idea about dinner, it's spin night so I don't get home till late.

Thanks or the kindness Rachey, I was just having a bad day yesterday, I felt like a big fat flump.

I’m on Day 2 of Exante, I feel so much better on it, hungry but better. I just need to keep busy to stop myself snacking.

Your menus always sound so nice, can you come to my house and be my personal chef? Do you need to be super organised to have it all ready to go for work? That’s the bit I always fail on.

I’m hoping for a more positive day today, I’m going to try and go for a walk and clear my head. I’ve also started decluttering my house ina bid to have everything a bit more organised.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Trying to catch up!

I haven’t managed to do any dieting since getting back.
The holiday was great. It was lovely to meet Pom. We managed to have enough cocktails for everyone!

Exante is horrible. I threw loads out yesterday (it was past it’s best!). Never buying it again!

Just had a falafel salad with hummus - takes my cal intake to 1200. Bloody medjool dates 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I burnt over 500 cals during my spin class though 👍
