I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

Argh I have just had the biggest pig out day ever 😲😲😲😲😲

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/02/2019 08:31

You sound like you had a great time Green and Pom, that’s brilliant that you managed to meet up. I hope you both have a great holiday.

How bad was yesterday Rachey? And was it worth it? Some pig out days totally are, I have two birthday parties this weekend and have plans to stray off plan but it will be worth it. We have to live.

Yesterday was a carb-fest here. I feel like shit and I got my period 7 days early just to add insult to injury. I actually think my body is getting revenge on me for all the crap I’ve fed it I’ve rthe last few years.

Has anyone lovely plans for Valentines Day? I think we’re postponing it until we’re all better.

sol I'm going to be joining you on exante. Only Monday - Friday

Ive been on total self destruct mode. Will knuckle down on Monday.

Be back soon xx

SolitudeSometimesIs · 16/02/2019 22:23

Great Rachey, I can’t start til Monday so I’ll battle through it with you. I was out last night. There was so much wine and food. I’m a total pig.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 18/02/2019 07:35

Morning.

sol I'm a pig too. 🙈 can't control myself. Did you have a good weekend?

green and pom hows Florida? Xx

Exante today. Gonna be tough as out and about with ds1 but I need to do this. Focus and keep busy.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/02/2019 10:27

I’m with you Rachey, Exante for breakfast and lunch, then a protein and veg dinner. It will be tough but we can do it. I had a Chinese takeaway last night as a last hurrah.
I spent this morning imagining how much better I will look this time next week. That’s my focus.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 18/02/2019 13:16

I had a Chinese on Saturday 🙈

I have left the house without my exante. I'm gutted, I'm out all day and won't last. I'm going to try and be good though 🤞🏻

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/02/2019 15:52

I had ham, mushroom, pasta soup for breakfast and sweet and sour noodles for lunch. Dinner is broccoli rice, a quorn fillet and some spinach and onion. I feel fine, Day 3 is usually the worst for me though.

How did you get on without your Exante Rachey? I’ve tried to stay busy all day, not to hard to do as the kids are on midterm holidays.

I’ll post more later when I’m trying to keep my hands off the crisps.

Argh, I am so angry at myself. I lasted till 4pm then caved and had to eat. Then it snowballed.

sol I'm sorry I can't stick to a simple diet. We will do this together.

Next Monday that's it. 2 weeks flat out strict dieting. I have social plans all this week so I don't know who I was trying to kid

Racheyg · 18/02/2019 21:29

sol I'm glad you had a good day, what have the kids got planned?

How is the weather in Ireland? It's been miserable here today.

I took dc1 around central London but he wasn't impressed with the rain 😁 we took shelter in Costa then the m&m shop which was total mayhem, I don't know how but we didn't even buy anything in there.

I'm really trying make make a effort with living in London take the kids out and about but it's so crazy busy everywhere I worry I'll lose them 😂

We did a "make a theme song" at apple. He lived it. He is really great with technology and music. Maybe he will be a music producer?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 19/02/2019 07:22

I had some crisps last night Rachey, DH was out and DS2 was being a pain about going to bed and I caved. Will do better today.

The weather here is chilly and dry, a few rain showers but nothing major. Your afternoon out sounds lovely. Are there loads of free activities to do in London? Ive been there a few times but mostly done the touristy stuff.

I’ve been up since 4.15, I’m having a panic about going on holiday and how DS2 will cope with it all. On the plus side I have read loads of internet sites about parents travelling with their autistic kids which had reassured me, on the negative side I am absolutely starving. I’ll weigh in in a bit to see how much damage I did with the crisps.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 19/02/2019 08:07

sol are you flying with ds2? Or ferry? I've heard ear defenders are excellent. I remeber green mentioning them for her dcs as they don't like loud noise etc. Maybe take lots of things that are familiar to him and keep him feeling safe? (Obvs I don't have experience with autism but if dcs did have it this is what I'll do)

When in March are you going? Are you taking dcs out of school? Are they strict in Ireland like over here?

There is a lot to do in London I just have to do it with them 😁 they do enjoy taking the thames clipper to Greenwich, and walking along he south bank looking at the boats.

I'm looking forward to the summer as we will go on open top bus etc.

Hope you manage a relaxed day today considering you were up so early. X

SolitudeSometimesIs · 19/02/2019 12:44

Yeah we’re taking the kids out of school. There’s no rules in Ireland really about taking kids on holiday, people don’t tend to do it in big exam years and we have 8 weeks Summer holidays too. And you don’t have to seek permission to take the kids out either, it’s a great system.

We’re flying with the kids, we’ve flown before but I’m not familiar with where we’re going and my need to know everything freaks me out. We have fast passes through the airport and stuff so we have no big queues to deal with it.

Taking a boat on the Thames and open top buses sound so good. I would have a heart attack bringing the kids on the water, I couldn’t deal with the stress. We went to the London Aquarium the last time we were there, it was amazing.

We’re having such a lazy day. We did some baking and painting and now we’re getting ready to have a movie afternoon in front of the fire. I’m basically a sloth today.

Ahhhh pressed send too soon.

I weighed in this morning and I’ve lost 3lbs since yesterday. Woohoo!! I’m so happy, that will motivate me to stay away from crisps.

Have a great day.

Oh I’m so hungry.

I want to eat but I want to be skinny. But I’m so hungry. But I’m so unhappy being fat.

When I get down to my goal weight I will never let myself get this fat again. It’s too hard to undo all the damage.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 19/02/2019 16:13

sol you can do this. Make yourself a nice fruit tea.

I found that the busier I am the less I eat. Do the dcs, fancy a walk? 😁

If they are watching a film maybe get the ironing out?

  • hummm maybe I should listen to my own advice 😂
Racheyg · 19/02/2019 16:14

As dc1 is at mil I'm off to do a double session at the gym. Body pump then spin. 🙈

SolitudeSometimesIs · 19/02/2019 20:59

Iron? Iron? Have you lost your mind Rachey? As if my day wasn’t bad enough I can’t add ironing to the mix. To be honest, I don’t iron at all. I’m more of a folder, DH does the ironing in this house.

I made it through to dinner and I’m now hiding upstairs while DH has crisps and beer watching football. How was your spin class Rachey? I don’t know how you do the classes, you must be super fit. How did you get on food wise?

OP posts:
Racheyg · 19/02/2019 21:31

Hahaha I'm so sorry sol I was trying to think of things to do to keep your mind busy while the kids were watching a movie 🙈🙈

SolitudeSometimesIs · 23/02/2019 06:21

How did you get on with the rest of your week Rachey?

I had yesterday off plan but didn’t go wild, we have visitors staying the night so could hardly sit there with Exante while they were horsing a takeaway.

DS2 is sick, high temp every night but the doc said it must be viral as he has no signs of infection, so we have spent most nights awake with him. DH and I do one night on, one night off, we’re like zombies.

I’ve lost 3 lbs so far this week, which I know isn’t loads but I feel like I’m managing on this plan way better than before. If I lose another 3 next week I’ll be a happy woman. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 23/02/2019 10:27

Well done sol 3lbs is amazing. Sorry to hear ds2 is unwell. What take away did you get? It's great that you didn't go crazy as I'm terrible for all or nothing.

I've had a busy week so I haven't eaten well but I promise Monday I will be strict. I need to.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 23/02/2019 15:15

We got Thai food Rachey, it was delicious and I don’t regret it for a minute. I’ll be dreaming of it when I’m eating Exante for the next two weeks.

Today has turned in to another day off plan, I just had a pot noodle Blush, it was total hangover food as we had lots of wine last night too.

Are your kids back to school next week? Have you had a nice week even though it’s been busy?

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 24/02/2019 19:21

We just ordered a takeaway Shock

OP posts:
Racheyg · 25/02/2019 08:58

sol sounds like you had a great weekend 😁 I haven't had a pot noodle in years. I love the curry one, kind of reminds me of exante Indian rice. 😳 what take away did you get? It's so hard when you have friends over/and or been drinking.

Was the weather as nice in Ireland as it was here? I have even started hanging washing outside.

green and pom are you back from Florida yet? How long did you go for?

You would be horrified by what I put way this weekend. Had so many cocktails and had a burger while watching rugby, then papa johns
Was so hungover yesterday had cold papa johns, McFlurry ice cream, endless Jaffa cakes, stuffed jalapeños, quorn nuggets, chocolate hobnobs.

Today is my start of exante. Wish me luck.

Breakfast is ham soup
Lunch sweet and sour noodles

Racheyg · 25/02/2019 18:05

Ok day 1 nearly over. Not sure whether to have another exante meal or eat low carb low cal dinner. Was thinking of stir fry.
