Shall we start this new thread with weight lost? Sure! It's always good to start on a motivational note. So, please, briefly post your loses to date, and if you wouldn't mind, include the amount of time, so far...

ya! a new thread!

WOW well done BFM! nearly 5 st gone already! how long have you been Cding?

Snow ~ i'm wanting to lost about 75 total...so about 58 to go. My ideal weight is about 160. ((wow that sounds devine!)) its not at the 25 bmi. i think its about 27 for my height (5'5") but i'll see how i feel once i reach the 160 and decide wether i want to keep going. i started at a whopping 235lbs/16st 11!!

Yesterday, i ended up picking at the skinless chicken i prepared for the boys. i was feeling incredibly hungry like i needed a little something more than just liquid to sustain the hunger. i know the hunger was because i didnt have enough water yesterday...oh and plus, i sat on my bum for most of the afternoon watching the Diana Birthday Concert so i had very little activity, aside from the usual running up and down the stairs to use the loo. hehehe

today, a new day and the start of a new week. im trying the water flavourings for the first time as well. i do think its helping me drink more water but i think the sweetness of it is making me feel like i could bork at any time. ((not trying to put anyone off trying it! i think everyone hsould give it a go at some point ..adds a little variety and will add a bit of desired sweetness to you week)). but i'm weary about the aspartame in it...i've always steered clear form it, only using splenda for sweetener.

anyways, my weigh in this morning (the official monday weigh in) says i've gained since yesterday! 2 lbs i think. overnight! what tha?!? again, im sure its down to my picking yesterday plus the low water intake...

See how important water can be?? The More You Drink, the more you shrink!

have a good day!

well done all, a whole 7 more days to my wiegh in and am pissed off that i picked soups and bars in addition to the shakes this week, dont like any of them but will keep going and see if dh will swap a few, he actually likes the soups, diff tastes i guess. I have found my fave way to make a shake in to put in 250ml fridge water, 1 sachet and about 6 ice cubes then wiz for about a minute in the blender, com out like frappachino - thick enough to eat with spoon - yummy and cos its cold and thick feels like i'm having more

just makes those soups and bars even more yukky though

gingernutlover · 02/07/2007 19:17

oh dear, have spent the last few hours with crazy munchies feeling - but have resisted, will this feeling last long? Thought the first few days were hardest

Oooo WELL DONE bfm!!! You MUST change your name to bigfatmummynomore

Had a good day today. No more meals out to trip me up for a while thank goodness so have been able to concentrate on sticking to it. Get weighed tomorrow oooer.

gingernutlover - are you still resisting the munchies? Drink loads of water - that might stop you feeling peckish... (says me sounding like I know what I'm talking about after only 6 days lol)

march29 · 02/07/2007 20:03

hi guys i just had my first weigh in today and only lost 6lbs. i am having trouble drinking alot of water and have had the odd pick. its dissaopinting and the cdc told me off too but what todo??

wombat2 · 02/07/2007 21:02

weighed in tonight, lost 7 lbs in first week, so not that amazing. Absolutely starving still, felt faint today and couldn't focus properly on computer screen or concentrate. Legs like jelly climbing stairs and a real struggle walking to and from school. Counsellor doesn't think this is normal after a week so I've got to go up to 4 'meals' a day. Great (it's all so yummy )! Well done to everyone else on weight losses.
Dp who is doing it with me lost 1st 1lb however, so he is doing very well!!

snowwonder · 02/07/2007 21:09

march have you tried using a straw to drink, i find i drink more this way....

would you be able to add some squash or is this a big no no? but i would have thought better than not drinking enough?

snowwonder · 02/07/2007 21:10

weel done on your losses......

better off than on....

march29 · 02/07/2007 21:23

thanks snowwonder i will try the straw but i don't thinkwe can add any squash. i have got the water flavourings though but they taste vile. its the picking aswell. i really need to control myself!!!

yummymummy327 · 02/07/2007 21:37

hey all!

Congrats on all your losses!!!

I have my weigh in tomorrow and not sure what to expect kinda nervous to be honest

Squash is a big no no, they do have the flavoring I don't find it too bad although I do prefer the berry over the orange. I like to use the orange with the vanilla shakes, yummy!

I sometimes have trouble with drinking water too. I ended up taking 6 milk pints and filling them with water and sticking them in the fridge. Oddly enough it doesn't seem as much when its that way. I have 1 pint before my breakfast shake, 2 before my lunch shake, 2 more before dinner shake and 1 after dinner. It seems to make it easier that way. Hey whatever works right

good luck with tomorrow!!!

gingernutlover · 03/07/2007 08:46

yummymummy327 · 03/07/2007 09:11

Hi Ginger I've always heard people on the diet getting consipated not the other how much water are you having? Maybe it could be that? Wish I could be more help....

yummymummy327 · 03/07/2007 09:12

Oh or it could be the bars?????

luciemule · 03/07/2007 10:31

Hello everyone - I'm back for a quick visit and to say that I'm perhaps going back on the CD for a short while to try to lose my last stone!

Blimey - lots of new faces - you're all doing really well.

I've still maintained my weight of 11 stone but do feel like I'm retaining water more. STrying to keep very low on carbs so porridge for brekkie and not much more carbs throughout the rest of the day.

Bye for now - will let you know when I start the diet proper!

ps - Hi MichaelaD - how are you?

notquitesobigfatmummy · 03/07/2007 12:16

Hi Gingernutlover

If it makes you feel any better (probably wont though), I had the same thing. About a week or so after starting the diet I was lucky if I could get to the loo in time my tummy was that upset. However, it did only last a day or two and then things were fine again. I've been told it's quite common and that it's the body having a "clear out" of all the bad stuff - bit like a detox I guess. Not sure how accurate this is but apparantly it happens to quite a few people and only last a day or so...

Hope that helps - stick with it, it really is worth it!!!

SpookyMadMummy · 03/07/2007 13:57

Got some progress pics here for you..... spooky 2 stone lighter (1st pic obv. before)

yummymummy327 · 03/07/2007 14:03

SpookyMadMummy · 03/07/2007 14:13

Yummy mummy, 7 weeks! thats all!

snowwonder · 03/07/2007 15:33

fabo pics well done

only 2 more hours till i get my packs, i am so scared about starting tomorrow

yummymummy327 · 03/07/2007 15:36

Thats GREAT Spooky, I hope I'll have that loss in 7 weeks

Snow theres nothing to be scared just go into with with a open mind and you'll do fine

SpookyMadMummy · 03/07/2007 15:37

Snow I was V nervous about starting, but kept my mind on the outcome rather than the journey!
good luck to you!

gingernutlover · 03/07/2007 16:15

thanks for the advice, had a bit of an incident round my mums today, but luckily not too bad (wont go into details) I am hoping it just stops, will be so dissapointed if i cant carry on

wombat2 · 03/07/2007 16:34

I know this is pathetic, but I have had to give up during week 2 - feeling so weak and lightheaded, like being anaemic. Can't walk to dd's school (only 5 mins but just too exhausted) and climbing upstairs is an effort as legs so weak. Couldn't think straight at work. Counsellor thinks my body just won't go into ketosis, so I am basically starving as only eating 500 calories a day! Good luck to everyone else!! (but be careful, I am a bit worried about this diet).

snowwonder · 03/07/2007 19:44

ginger couldnt you take the normal medicine you can get form the chemist?

well i have got my packs- just shakes as the soups dont appeal to me.....

any tips on the best way to make them up?
