A stone by Christmas

Is it possible and who will join me?

This stone has been with me for many years now since youngest was born... five years ago! I really want it gone especially as the weight is mainly around my middle.

So starting today:
Weight 11.8 stone or 75kg
Height 5.7 or 1.70

Using my fitness pal with target daily calories of 1,200. Aiming to reduce sugar / carbs and increase water intake. Exercise when possible but it's a juggling act with kids/work, maybe 3 workouts per week plus walk when I can.

Would love some company!

Is anyone else struggling now the weather has turned colder?
I literally just want hot chocolates and stodgy comfort food rather than fruit and salads 😫😫

Shalll · 21/11/2018 14:43

Oh yes definitely. Soups are a good way to go but hot chocolate would be more satisfying

I do think we may be burning more calories now that it is cold (clutching at straws...)

Rheanap welcome along!

I’ve had two days of wine and crisps so not feeling as virtuous today.

I’ve got a half marathon booked next year so really need to get my arse in gear to be honest.

Today was better, so quite happy.

So annoyingly I weighed myself yesterday and seem to have gained a pound Hmm BUT it is that time of the month, so maybe that's it? Because my clothes feel looser so who knows.

How's everyone doing?

I'm on track, didn't have much lunch today as I brought the wrong bloody box to work, so had a scatty bit of chicken, a tiny jacket spud and a few cubes of butternut squash.

Dinner will be quiche and soup, macaroni for the kids. No wine unfortunately as there's none left.

Had Spag bol last night for dinner, haven't had pasta for yonks, man it was good!

Managed to lose one more lb last week which takes me to half a stone gone! This was despite a take away curry and pizza at the weekend, although I did walk loads last week so that's obviously helped.
Today was banana and satsuma for breakfast, Covent Garden skinny chicken soup for lunch and spicy pasta with scallops for dinner. Also have had 2 glasses of wine, oops!
Got work do tomorrow night too so will need to be extra good at the weekend!

Breakfast: toast and dairylea
Lunch: soup and ryvita
Dinner: three slices of pizza
Snacks: two glasses of wine, biscuit, apples.

Excercise: 6k run and 20000 steps (this is not normal for me)

Well done sunshine that's amazing!

Bluecookie how many steps??? I am struggling to get my head around that!! I struggle to get to 10,000...

Anticipating a very low calorie day here as I will be so busy I won't get much of a chance to eat. However the temptation will be to have a big dinner at the end of the day..

A couple of school runs, a run, and then a walk to the shops (the car was in the garage).

I would, but all ours have disappeared as well. 😣

I managed 22000 steps on Tuesday, also due to car being out of action!
I usually aim for 10000+
MFP needs to just accept that sometimes we need to complete diary at that place, they don't know what might come tomorrow and that it's all for the greater good!
I still haven't managed to weigh in but think my jeans are a bit looser.

Woop! 11st 1, that’s three pounds gone now!

Slowly but surely.

Also, I went to Wagamamas today, I wanted to get a Katsu curry only to discover there are 1200 calories in that dish alone. How crazy is that. I settled on some amazing udon noodles in the end.

Weigh in day for me and I am 1lb down, making it a 13lb loss since summer and 5lb loss since joining this thread.
I started at 11st 11lb and now weigh 10st 12lb.
This week is going to be hard!! Tomorrow I am Christmas shopping with my best friend...cue lots of cake and coffee stops!!
One day this week we are off to the theatre with dinner first and Friday is my Christmas do!!
Going to try to be really careful the other days so I hopefully won't gain too much....it's getting to that hard time of year the supermarkets are full of lovely food and I just want it all!!!

Well done on the amazing losses and good luck with the festive challenges!
I finally got on the scale yesterday and was a bit horrified, later in the day had a self sabotaging scoff off - foolish.
Back on it today though, think I'm going to stick to daily MFP diary and a fortnightly weigh in.

Weighed in at 11st 6 this morning so 2lb lost this week after a few weeks of maintaining.

Over all I've lost a stone now although all my clothes still fit the same 😐

4 weeks until Christmas!!

70kg this morning, so 0.5kg loss but still not broken that barrier!! Will it happen next week?? Looking on the bright side I've lost 5 of the 6kg I was going to lose by Christmas so the goal seems within reach.

I need to sort my weekends out, I'm doing too much socialising / meals out...

Your goal definitely seems within reach shall, well done.
I can't believe it's only 4 weeks until Christmas!
I seem to have put on 5lb over the weekend!! This has to be water retention, I wasn't even that bad but I did have more bread than I have been having recently. Going to have a really good day today and hope the scales are kinder tomorrow!

3 of the 5lb gone overnight, I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday but it usually helps me stay on track

Ah sunshine I hate it when scales do funny things. Glad you're back on track.

My fitness is improving faster than I am losing weight I think. Just had a big core and HIIT session and feeling super strong.

Hello, I've STS this week but might be like last week when it drops a couple of days after the piggy weekend. Or it might be the week before catching up on me. 6lbs in total so far so I'm not sure I'll manage 1st by christmas but I'll be KOKO!
