Hi

I came back from my holiday today. Felt bloody awful for the most of it, fat, unhealthy and very unfit. We have been camping for a week and sleeping on the air bed almost killed me. The kids constantly wanted to swim with me feeling like a beached whale in my swimming costume, I tried to hide a lot!! Plus on the way home I went to sit back down in the car and split my recently bought linen trousers Blush

I refuse to have another holiday feeling like this, plus have a milestone birthday coming up in about 9 months.

I know I have roughly 50lb to lose, I am only little at 5ft 2 and I feel like a beach ball!

I will be weighing in to get my official starting weight tomorrow morning and I will rejoin WW online.

If anyone would like to join me that would be fab! Would be nice to have some people to join me on my journey!

I’ll join you. I lost 100lbs a couple of years ago but poor health has seen nearly half of it creep back. I’m getting married in two months and although I know I’m not going to be anywhere near 50lbs down I still would like there to be a bit less of me Smile

Hi OP! I'm in exactly the same situation, I'm also 5'2" and have about the same to lose, preferably more though.
I've got a holiday coming up at the beginning of November, I'd like to feel a bit more comfortable before then!

I'm in, joined Slimming world online this week. Day 3 today for me. I'd like to lose 4 stone. Mini target of 1.5stone by works xmas party in 16 weeks!!!! We can do it 👊🏻

Hitting the hay now after a long day travelling! Will pop back tomorrow to post my starting weight and to reply properly. Struggling to keep my eyes open now as tucked up in my lovely own bed (nothing feels nicer than coming home to your own things after being away Wink).

I’m also 5’ 2”. Well, the tape measure lies and tells me I’m 5” 1 1/2”, but phooey to that. I have a similar amount to lose. And have had for all my adult life. I could definitely do with a way to keep me on track!

Good morning, we should nickname ourselves the 5ft 2 club Grin

So I weighed in at 13st 6.2lb which is exactly as I expected. Aiming for 9st 11lb so 51.2lb to lose.

Weight watchers online account reactivated, so here I go!

What's everyone planning to do to lose weight? Have seen slimming world mentioned which is also another good plan but I just couldn't get on with it! I have some friends who have lost amazing amounts following it though!!

I have been at work all day but did weigh this morning. I was 12st 8lbs. In May I decided to do something about my weight. Huh, well that didn’t work out. I was 12st 9lbs then and the lowest I got to was 12st 5lbs. I’ve gone up and down those 4 pounds for the 4 months since. So annoyed because if I’d tried harder I could be a stone or two lighter right now. 😒

I’d love to get to 9 1/2 stone. I’m going to use mfp which is linked with my fitbit so my calorie goal is based on what I actually do day to day.

Urgh today didn't work out at all. Me and DS have come down with stinking colds 😢 he has had a temp on and off most of today and I feel like I have been hit by a truck. Upside is I haven't eaten too much but I haven't tracked like I should have. Blaming the swimming pool on holiday as it was freezing in Thursday.

Off for an early night and a fresh start tomorrow!

I'll join you. I also have a milestone birthday coming up and I'm fed up of carrying the extra weight around. I actually had a great holiday and felt less self conscious than usual - I even braved shorts this year. I felt much better than sweltering in my usual jeans but also very aware how much better I'd feel with 2-3 stones off ( or more if possible). I'll weigh in tomorrow.

Hope the colds go quickly!

I just thought I’d offer some inspiration as another member of the 5 foot 2 club, to show it is possible!

I went from 11 stone 2 last year to 7 stone 4 in seven months, and am now 6 stone 10 after another four months. I do have a slight frame though, and don’t want to lose any more. At 46, gaunt is not a good look.

I did low carb low fat. It was tough, but worth it. After 15 years of being fat, it was wonderful finally to enjoy a holiday when I didn’t look or feel hideous, and where I could walk miles without becoming tired.

I am maintaining by controlling portion size now.

Me please. I have about 5 stone to lose. My body is aching because of the extra weight I’m carrying. I’m ashamed of my body and don’t feel attractive and it’s stopping me doing more with my kids.

Hi all I am new to mumsnet.

I'd love to join and need to loose at least stones. I really liked it on after my two. 2 c sections didn't help either.

Any tips to eat three meals a day I mostly eat 1 and still remain heavy.

May I join please? My dc2 is 6 months old and I seem to be putting on weight rather than losing it. I haven't weighed myself in a while but I must have at least 1.5 stone to lose. I'm going back to work in a week and I feel a bit embarrassed that the baby weight is so obviously still there. Sad

Did 10,000 steps today :) win! Also drank 4 pints of beer at a beer festival.. not so win! I used all my weight watchers weekly points in one go! Blush

Weighed myself this morning and I’m starting at 13st 6.5lb which is about half a stone more than I thought Sad. We are off to a theme park today so it’s going to be about damage limitation but I should get lots of steps in. I have found an old sw meal planner and I’m looking forward to getting back to nice balanced meals. Also planning to get 10,000 steps a day and to run 3 times a week as I’m training for a 10 mile run.

I weigh 14 4 and when I go on holiday at Easter I want to be at least in the 11s.

I'll start properly on Tuesday (I was going to start a thread then!)

Hi everyone. Day 5 of my first week back on slimming world completed.

I'm feeling great no slip ups so far this week and just completed 2 back to back 12.5hr shifts where I would normally just eat rubbish. I planned and prepped and took all my food with me and had a low cal ready meal ready for when I got home. I usually just eat junk when I get home.

I have a colleague who is following slimming world too so we've been supporting each other all week and along with you guys it feels like I'm not doing this alone.

Hoping for a good result on Wednesday weigh in 🤞🏻

Starting tomorrow. I’m 11st 1lb, and need to be 9st7lbs or thereabouts.
I’m looking at doing the Blood Sugar diet combined with 16:8 as I’ve got some insulin resistance type issues.

This year’s holiday was rubbish as I was pretty self-conscious, I can’t do another year of being surrounded by slim friends and covering up all the problem areas in boring clothes.

I’ll join you all, was 14stone 3, lost a stone over last few months so lowest was 13stone 2 but seems to be creeping up again. It was so much easier in the heat when I didn’t feel peckish at all! I’d live to be around 12stone one day
