Hi

I came back from my holiday today. Felt bloody awful for the most of it, fat, unhealthy and very unfit. We have been camping for a week and sleeping on the air bed almost killed me. The kids constantly wanted to swim with me feeling like a beached whale in my swimming costume, I tried to hide a lot!! Plus on the way home I went to sit back down in the car and split my recently bought linen trousers Blush

I refuse to have another holiday feeling like this, plus have a milestone birthday coming up in about 9 months.

I know I have roughly 50lb to lose, I am only little at 5ft 2 and I feel like a beach ball!

I will be weighing in to get my official starting weight tomorrow morning and I will rejoin WW online.

If anyone would like to join me that would be fab! Would be nice to have some people to join me on my journey!

Can I join? I'm curt 11 stone and am heavier now than when I was 6 months pregnant with ds. I'd like to be at least 25lb lighter by my birthday ( December) and another 25 within 6 months.
My weight had crept up over the holidays as I've eaten everything in sight.
I'm going to increase exercise and decrease portion size.

morningtoncrescent62 · 02/09/2018 11:39

May I join in? I'm 5' 3" and just under 15 stone. I've yo-yo dieted for literally decades now. A few years ago I thought I'd cracked it - got down to 9 stone which was the lightest I'd been since my teens (I'm in my 50s). But by the time I got there I was craving food all the time, and within a couple of years I was back to square one.

I don't like being the weight I am now - it's causing me problems with moving around and increasingly a health hazard. But I think 9 stone might be unrealistic, and I don't want to get back into a situation where I'm thinking about food all the time. So I've set myself a goal of 11 stone and I'm going to do it gradually. My goal is to lose:

10 pounds in September (I know from past experience a lot of this will be water loss from reducing carbs)
2 stone by January
3 stone by the end of March
4 stone - reaching goal weight of 11stone - by the summer holidays

I'm planning to weigh weekly, but going to try not to worry too much about week-by-week fluctuations. Micro-goals (i.e. fortnightly or weekly) have been my downfall in the past as it's too easy for me to lose heart. Looking forward to hearing about how everyone else is doing.

Good plan mornington. I had a bad day yesterday too becks, but ok so far today. I woke up wanting to eat everything and felt a bit worried that I had ruined my efforts so far, but I feel alright now. Almost a week ican, well done! I hope you have a good weight in.

Mwnci123 · 02/09/2018 13:45

I'm almost the same weight I was at full term with first child, itshappenedagain. I'm feeling positive though- we can do this.

Bearest17 · 02/09/2018 14:04

My aim is to be at a size 14 by next summer - I want to be able to wear clothes more suitable for the weather rather than hiding myself in jeans and dark tops. And I have a whole wardrobe of size 14s from the last time I lost weight!

Smaller goals are a good idea but I know I need to be careful of them as I quickly get demoralised and give up if I don’t meet them.

Back on track today (following slimming world)
I have had a very rare Sunday off work so cooked a roast with all the trimmings for the family, stuffing balls, pigs in blankets, and Yorkshire puddings. I resisted all of these and had a jacket potato instead of roasties!! I also missed lunch as I was busy and not that hungry. I'm feeling good!!!

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 02/09/2018 19:23

I've just had my slip and fall 🙈 not ended up with the kids at golf and have started some housework stuff. Anxiety always peaks when kids are out and I am rushing round like a headless chicken trying to get stuff done! Should have gone with them and taken my book like I planned which would have kept me out of the biscuit tin Blush

Will weigh in tomorrow and start a new week!

And well done becks in the jacket potato instead of the roasties!

Oh I have this problem ican! The pressure to get loads of boring domestic stuff done when without children stresses me right out. New day tomorrow!
Well done with your roast dinner becks, sounds like you are really in a groove.
Keep your eye on the long game bearest 💪

Mwnci123 · 02/09/2018 21:21

Toddler in bed and baby not presently crying so going to do my exercises in front of the telly. Strength to all.

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 02/09/2018 23:04

I got loads done whilst they were gone (in between raiding the biscuit tin and crisp cupboard Blush) but feel like I achieved nothing?! Line is drawn again and start again tomorrow. Back at work tomorrow too so back to being hectic which helps keep me away from the biscuit tin!!

Morning everyone,

Right after a few days months of eating crap a line has been drawn! I'm back on low carb.

Ive weighed myself this morning and am 14 stone 7lb.

I'm also back to work today :( really don't want to be, I just want to stay sitting on the sofa cuddling my puppy!

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 03/09/2018 08:53

Urgh work sucks doesn't it glen!!

I have to do a couple of hours today too but will spend longer in the car dropping kids at their aunts as no one around local today for childcare.

Back to school and work properly tomorrow which I am not really looking forward to. The summer has whizzed by Sad

Weighed in at 13st 4.6lb so lost 1.6lb since Wednesday which is fine. Line drawn, it's a new day today!!

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 03/09/2018 17:46

Mwnci123 · 03/09/2018 20:30

Well done on the weight loss ican. I have been pretty good today but am now hungry and wondering what/ whether to easy something else. Feeling a bit flat. Will have a cup of tea and an apple I think. Glad you're back on track Smile

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 03/09/2018 21:20

Thank you!

I am pleased it was a loss after yesterday's little slip up!

Back on it now though.

Weigh-in this weekend, found I have lost 4 lbs since the last time. The difference has been hitting the gym.

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 04/09/2018 09:35

Ooh well done math that's fantastic!!

OP posts:
Mwnci123 · 04/09/2018 21:07

Fantastic math! I weighed in today. Lost 1.5lb, which I'm very pleased with. Onwards.

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 04/09/2018 21:35

Ooh good loss, well done!!

OP posts:
beckslovestimmy · 06/09/2018 10:36

Good losses ICAN and MATH, I weighed yesterday, 1.5lb off so 4lb in 2 weeks. Not too bad. Kids back to school so back walking the school run each day. My Legs, bums and tums class restarts tonight after the summer break. Not looking forward to the sore legs tomorrow!!!

Mwnci123 · 06/09/2018 13:57

Well done becks. I weighed yesterday despite it not being weigh day and was really disappointed, then weighed again today and it was great! Need to focus on overall trend. Strength to all 💪

beckslovestimmy · 07/09/2018 09:18

Oh no MWNCI, it's frustrating when that happens. I try really hard to only weigh once a week and hope it all evens up over time. At least the second weigh was positive so will keep you motivated for next week. 🤞🏻

IcanDorisIwillDoris · 07/09/2018 13:58

I have massively slipped Sad gone back to work and it's been very stressful (I eat my feelings!!).

We have just booked Christmas do and we have all said we will drop a dress size by the time we go ..... so it's given me a kick up the butt and back on it!!

Got to keep trying Grin
