Thank you bloopity - second week weigh in today, lost only 1 lb, bit dismayed, overall 6 lb in two weeks, will keep going.

CiderwithBuda · 24/08/2018 12:06

Hi all. Haven’t felt to have a great week this week. Too much wine on Monday night and virus/cold thing came back so was shattered. But had good days since and net result is I’m almost back down to my pre-Budapest trip weight. I’ve lost 3.4 pounds since last Friday. I’m currently 15st 2.4 lbs. Planning on being really good over the weekend. Would LOVE to get under 15st! And if I get to 14st 13.75 that will be a stone off since May. Which would feel like a real milestone.

Lovesugar - well done. A pound off is a pound off. But I know we always want more! Keep on doing what you are doing!

Have a fab holiday Quim.

lovesugarfreejelly63 · 24/08/2018 18:02

Thank you Cider, have cheered up a bit since I posted. Well done on your weight loss.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 25/08/2018 09:06

Well done, Cider - that is great progress. And all done whilst still getting out and living your life. That's fantastic!

I was 12st 7.3 this morning, which means that I'm now only 1 Linda above pre-holiday, and 5.5 Lindas off since I got back.

I kinda don't believe that weight. I've not had a great couple of days of eating consciously, and while I've done better at only eating when hungry, I've generally chosen to eat crap when hunger struck. Last night, we had takeaway (Singapore noodles and prawn crackers for me) and wine with the inlaws, so to see such a good weight this morning doesn't feel deserved.

But - part of Paul's plan is eating what you want, and I haven't felt stuffed full at any point so I suppose only missing the conscious eating but isn't that bad.

I'll no doubt pay for bank holiday excess next week, but I'm going to take the win now and enjoy it.

ponygirlcurtis · 25/08/2018 12:21

Have a fantastic holiday Quim!

Cider hope you are feeling better today - good going on your losses, especially if you are feeling unwell.

Quantum, Paul sounds like he is helping you lots. Smile

I haven't had a perfect week at all - I have found it really hard to get back into the groove. When I did BSD in May it felt effortless. Now less so! But even so I have been trying and have not had any staff-room treats (of which there are many) and been much more conscious of not snacking too much, and generally eating less. Consequently I have seen a shift on the scales. Hope it sticks!

Therealjudgejudy · 26/08/2018 08:49

Morning all. I'm currently lying in bed listening to some crazy rain trying to will myself up and into my gym gear!

Yesterday was my day off from the gym and I didn't watch my calories so ate pretty much what I wanted. I ate a lot. Grin

Back on it today though

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 26/08/2018 10:03

I think we all need days like that sometimes, Judy! Hope the gym goes well.

I was a pound up today, well deserved after date night (too much wine, sausage and mash for dinner), but that's still only 12st 8.5. My average this week was 2 whole Lindas lower than last week, so I'm thrilled about that. And I didn't finish my sausage and mash so that was positive.

I'm feeling well set up for next week now.

Have had family over from the States this weekend and have pretty eaten everything and a lot this weekend so am not going to weigh myself at all. Back in plan from tomorrow and will weigh myself mid week- after a weekend of Mexican food, Indian food and finishing up with pizza tonight I can’t really expect the scales to
Show me what I would wish to see 😂

CiderwithBuda · 27/08/2018 15:39

Ponygirl - it is often harder to do something second time round for some reason. Hope your loss sticks.

Therealjudge - I had a night like that last night. Too much wine. Crisps. Cheese and crackers. Rest of the day was ok though. I think sometimes giving in to that urge can actually help in the long term. You feel less deprived.

Quantum - sounds good!

Kokoloco - we had beef and barley casserole done in the slow cooker last night. Was yum. And I’ve meal planned for the week usually g my Hairy Dieters books too. Def feels autumnal!

Bloopity - sounds wise! If you have gained it will probably come off quickly.

I weighed this morning and am 1.8 above 15 st. Would have liked to be under but has mentioned above had a really indulgent night last night after a slightly indulgent night on Saturday.

I should be well able to get under 15 by 1 September though. So that is this week’s aim.

Lots of walking. Sticking to 1600 cals. Balanced carbs and protein.

Although DS has just messaged to say two of his friends are likely staying over tonight. So it might be lasagna for dinner. I might just have the meat sauce with courgetti.

TVHubbyClaire · 28/08/2018 08:39

Another week of STS. I had dinner out and beer/wine on Saturday so wasnt expecting anything better.

had quite a good day yesterday and badminton last night so 11st 13 today.

Just seem a little bit low on motivation and ideas to shake off another 5 or 6 Lindas...

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 28/08/2018 09:29

Pleasantly surprised to see 12st 7.8 on the scales this morning, after a bank holiday weekend where we had guests and I basically just ate whatever I fancied. Also - wine. Lots of wine! I will undoubtedly pay for this later in the week. But, for the moment, that is pretty much flat on before the weekend, and I'm feeling lovely and focused and positive for the week ahead.

I will eat good food - but only when and while I am hungrySmile

Hi everyone. Only just finished work now. Will be a v quick and easy dinner tonight..not sure what yet though.

Gym yesterday and this morning killed and still sticking to my calories so far.

Am defo earning some ice cream the weekend Smile

CiderwithBuda · 28/08/2018 21:36

I’m in bed trying not to think of food. Tummy rumbling a bit.

Dinner last night was lasagna but I just had the meat sauce with a small portion of whole meal pasta and salad. Unfortunately I also has three pieces of garlic bread and a bottle of red wine! Could have been worse I suppose! In fact could have been much worse - I could have done what DS did. Had more beers than he has had before and then had a massive gin and tonic afterwards. DH and I had gone to bed. He was very sick and has been suffering all day. Hope he learns a lesson! But I somehow doubt it. Bloody teenagers!

HappyGowerGirl · 29/08/2018 08:36

Hey all, just briefly weighing & checking in at 60.0kg. Only just about clinging on to the wagon and hoping for a more productive September...

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 29/08/2018 11:43

Horrible number on the scales this morning. Richly deserved after yesterday. Also, AF arrived today, which is probably connected! Oh well. Today is a new day, and I skipped breakfast due to not feeling hungry. Will head out for some lunch soon - hoping it isn't still raining as I don't want another drenching, but that would seriously limit my choices!

TVHubbyClaire · 29/08/2018 12:23

I was 12st 0 this morning so much in line with expectations. Not a particularly healthy dinner last night so tried to make up for it by haveing no breakfast today. made it to 11.45 then had cup a soup, a small sandwich, bag of sun chips and a two finger kit kat. still hungry and not 12.30 yet...will be a long afternoon

I like the sound of your gentle plan Koko, and it's working.

Oh dear, Cider - how is DS today?

TV - could you prepare some snacks to take with you? Babybels are quite satisfying, only 60cals each.

Quantum it will be period bloat, gets me every month (about to get it in a few days). Try to ignore what the scales say till it is past.

I am trying to mix things up with an occasional 500 calorie fast day thrown in. Regretting trying it today though as it has been really busy and I am flagging even without the lack of food thrown in. Having a diet drink while DS2 is at guitar lessons and feeling a bit sugar-rushy!

ponygirlcurtis · 29/08/2018 16:59

Thread title ideas: Slender September? Sept-slender? Something about weight falling off like leaves from the trees?

CiderwithBuda · 29/08/2018 17:37

Ponygirl - he is still not feeling great. Bloody idiot! I was fairly annoyed as they def took it too far even with the beers but I think how he is feeling is punishment enough. And his friend’s punishment was having to clean up after him!

I’m back on track. Did a 7.5 km walk yesterday and just did 8km this afternoon. Food is good. Keeping within calories. Trying to stick to macros too.

Re new title - as Autumn is Fall in US maybe something about pounds falling with the leaves of Fall? Although I quite like Slendertember.

bloopitybloop · 29/08/2018 18:50

I like
slender September for the thread title. August definitely wasn’t good for me
Scale wise - Sept shall be better!

Btw has anyone here used Noom?

BitOutOfPractice · 29/08/2018 19:04

I am still here. Just felt like too much of a fraud to post as I’ve been eating cheese in France for two weeks

pony why don’t you re-take the thread starting mantle? Smile

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 29/08/2018 21:58

Gosh, it sounds like everyone has been struggling a bit the last few days!

I started last week full of good intentions, but then came down with a horrible stomach bug, it totally knocked me for six. I’ve only now, a week on, started to feel normal again. So my new exercise regime failed before it started, and when I was feeling up to eating I could only stomach beige food. I ate a lot of toast Blush I just want to get through this week without gaining, and then start afresh in September!

Pony I love the idea of weight falling off like leaves from a tree!
