Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

Yes that's it exactly or b&m bargains! I went there when I was in Edinburgh but didn't find any protein bar bargains Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/09/2018 06:19

I work within walking distance of a b&m don't mind posting to you.

Last night was fine until tea too. Just going to keep moving and keep building. Hip still hurting so start gym next week.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 06/09/2018 20:19

Thanks life but I'm sure if we added on postage the savings would disappear! Plus I find my weight loss slows if I'm getting my protein from sources like bars and powder rather than food, does anyone else find that?

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/09/2018 21:43

Weight loss? What's that......I recall the concept Grin

Yes, btw bars and such like slow things down

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/09/2018 20:00

Aargh I left my Fitbit charging at work! Will I leave it there for weekend or go get it in the morning before heading away for hen party?

I'm definitely going to hit my steps both days anyhow so I'm leaning towards leaving it there Hmm

Well done Mammy. Leave it. You know your get your steps.

Defo on it next week. Got ridiculous shin splints from walking to and from work every day.

Not2bObvious · 08/09/2018 08:44

That’s a brilliant loss mammy have a fantastic time away. I’m gaining every day this week, must be fluid retention/retained food as I’m not overdoing the food but my activity is way down with my dodgy back. I’m trying very hard not to be too emotional about it, but it’s hard. Going to be looking at at least a 1.1lb gain this week after a 1.5lb gain last week. So yeah struggling to remember weight loss myself😂
Sorry for moaning, feel a bit better getting it out - every time I stood on the scales this week I wanted to scream. Trying to plan my days food, would love to eat loads but that’s just self sabotage. Going back to 1700 cals to see if it helps move things along a bit over the next week. Thinking of going on the dry as well, that helped greatly before

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/09/2018 09:09

My wrist feels so naked as it's my watch too, think I might go retrieve it. Will see how I feel after hairdressers

Oh shin splits are the absolute worst, cycle & put garmin on your ankle.

Not2 I gain week before totm, any chance it's that?
Maybe just concentrate on food & water & alcohol free and take the entire week off weighing if it's upsetting you?

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 08/09/2018 09:22

Oh I couldn’t be without a watch mammy, I’d have to retrieve it if it were me. Yeah I’d thought of not weighing but I’ve a bizarre fear it’s go crazy up if I don’t. Ridiculous really. I’m just sick of thinking about it, I really am but I’m terrified of the alternative if I let my foot off.
Ooh nice to get the hair done, hope you have great fun

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/09/2018 09:49

Meh I don't use a watch. My bike is broken so I don't have one at the minute.

YY maybe reduce alcohol first then cals while poorly. Do you track the drinks?

Not2bObvious · 08/09/2018 10:19

Yes I track absolutely everything

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/09/2018 10:30

I never wore a watch until the Fitbit but wearing it since July 17 now so it's habit.

I get ya about scales.

I didn't weigh while on holidays but ate normally and it didn't go crazy

If I’m out of the country I find a pharmacy to weigh in every few days. It makes little or no difference in the long run, I think I’m just so conditioned to weigh every day I get anxious if I don’t keep an eye on it. I’ve crept from 11.7 to 13 stone a number of times and being scales obsessed the last 3 years has at least stopped that happening. I have a holiday coming up in 4 weeks and I thought I’d get some weight off, then I had a week of going way over and gaining 1.5, got my head straight & then my back went. Luck has to turn I hope!

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/09/2018 07:44

Right in back. Weight is starting to creep up.
Food today. Won't make steps as WFH. 1600 I'm coming to get ya

mammynowanauntyIRL · 10/09/2018 11:48

I weighed this morning and I was 6lbs heavier than sat morn thanks to the demon alcohol and carb heavy day yesterday.

I'm not recording it in mfp as in one of the videos I watched of catgetsfitnfab or mumreloaded as she is now known she said she contacted admins before for similar thing and they advised not to put it in at all.

Back to normal today but I've scratchy throat & heavy head & poor sleep last night so I think I'll not bother with alcohol again for a long time again.

Not2bObvious · 10/09/2018 16:36

I saw that somewhere in Richie’s q&a, if you have an abnormally high weigh in due to loads of carbs - don’t enter it, it’ll set your average off the chart. Hope you had fun though mammy?
My average was up 1.2lb - but I’m pretty sure it was related a lot to my medication last week. I’m feeling really geared up to do well this week. Put my cals back to 1700 and going to work hard and stop arsing about making excuses

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/09/2018 16:50

Crappy day 1. I hate wft.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 10/09/2018 17:16

I had fun, but I think I'd have had the same amount of fun because of the company without the alcohol and wouldn't have nosedived into the sweet counter at petrol station yesterday either.

Today is back to normal although I'm not feeling energised to do 7000 more steps Grin

What is it about working from home that messes up your food life lack of routine or temptation?

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 11/09/2018 08:33

Hope your scales was kinder this morning mammy, mine dropped by 2.6lb! I was thrilled😬

Not2bObvious · 11/09/2018 08:35

Clicked too quick. I think it’s great you recognised you’d have fun without the booze, you’ll know for next time.

You back to a more routine day life? I’m at a deskbound job today but I got up 45 minutes early & got 4,000 steps in marching/jogging while watching reruns of ER, nearly 5,500 done already👍

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/09/2018 08:48

Well done on the steps this morning. I'm just not in the right place for doing it right now because I need to conserve my energy for home life.

Scales were half way back to last Sat morning. I didn't record either today but I will do no matter what they say tomorrow morning.
