Britney I forgot to say well done yesterday; I too could normally finish a large one on my own, that was serious self restraint Grin well done Smile

itsBritneyBeach · 19/07/2018 11:42

Thanks Ophelia Smile I felt soooo hungry after eating it but managed to settle for a huuuuge drink of water instead!

Opheliasgoldenwine · 19/07/2018 12:02

Is that all you ate all day? What's your calorie limit?x

DaisyChops · 19/07/2018 12:13

My mum always gets those flat bread type low calorie pizzas from Pizza Hut and they look really nice...I've never quite managed to resist the cheesy bites though!! 🙈

Ophelia, I think people have their own weekly weigh days (although I confess to being a daily weigher) and check in then, I'm a Monday but I'll go with the flow if everyone wants to pick the same day (as long as it isn't tomorrow)

DaisyChops · 19/07/2018 12:16

Britney I guess that's just a bit like the 5:2, I did that for a while and lost all my baby weight after DD2 and I used to save my 500 (think it's 600 now) calories for one meal. I just can't do it in this heat and when the kids are drinking me insane!!!

itsBritneyBeach · 19/07/2018 12:20

I try to stick to around 1300-1400 calories and that was about 800, I did have a banana and some yoghurt in the morning too!

I really am useless at sticking to things like the 5:2 dietGrin I just mix and match.. which is probably why I'm still fat!!

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 19/07/2018 13:06

One of the best pizzas ive had is from marks and sparks

Full of flavour and less than 500 calories

Gard21 · 19/07/2018 13:26

I'm just place marking for now, will read whole thread later as I need big help.

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 15:05

I like the boring old Pizza Express margarita which you buy in the supermarket- I just add some red onion on top

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 15:06

I hope you join us @Gard21!

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 15:07

I could never do the 5:2 diet. I get so crabby dizzy if I haven't eaten enough during the day

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 15:08

Cross out fail. Supposed to be ^^ crabby

Gard21 · 19/07/2018 16:08

I'm back so now have time to read all the thread so now I will hopefully start to loose weight. I'm 5ft tall and this morning got on my DD scales(I don't have any) to find I'm 14st 3lb. I retired over a year ago and now realize the weights been piling on. As suggested I've downloaded the fitness Pal app. This has given me 1425 calories per day.
From today I hope to cut out alcohol and my biggest downfall crisps.
I noticed a few of you have been suffering from heartburn. On Monday I was taken into hospital for what we thought was a heart attack but it turned out to be my esophagus going into spasm. I'm now thinking this happened because I'm FAT. Yes I can now say it I'm FAT.
I will hopefully follow you all and get help to tone up me.

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 17:22

@Gard21 Welcome! MFP gives me the same amount of calories too & it is definitely doable. I tend to do a practice run the night before so I add all the stuff I'm eating tomorrow & make sure it is u see my calorie goal - then the next day I look at it to tell me what I'm allowed to eat! It just helps me plan & I like knowing that if I'm hungry it's ok - I'll be eating xxxx later. Crisps are also my biggest downfall & I eat most of them of an evening whilst watching TV which is why I'm doing the 16:8 diet & I don't eat after 6pm

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 17:23

**under my calorie goal

Opheliasgoldenwine · 19/07/2018 19:47

How is everyone this evening?c

Flossy75 · 19/07/2018 22:00

How’s everyone’s dieting going? I’m looking for tips and inspiration

Ethiopianflower · 19/07/2018 22:08

I find a yummy treat is strawberries with candarel sprinkled on top - gives the illusion that you are indulging but v healthy. Doing running every day - dread it each day but boy do I need to!! How are the rest of you getting on? My motivation wavers a lot!!!!

DaisyChops · 19/07/2018 22:10

Was good until precisely 3.30pm when the kids came home and all hell broke loose and I've ended up have a chunky kit kat and some 8 chocolate fingers 🙈

Not sure my legs are up to day 2 of the shred either but planning to do something as don't want to give up this early on and I need to negate the effect of the chunky kit kat!!!

My Fitbit says I'm still 500 calories less than I've burned so far but I'm not convinced!!

DaisyChops · 19/07/2018 22:19

EF, that's really good that you are running every day! 👏
Are you following a couch to 5k type plan or are you a more experienced runner?

happytobemrsg · 19/07/2018 22:34

I caved & ate a Yoo Moo lolly @ 9 watching Love Island so I'm 50cals over my daily limit of 1440 Angry I'm not feeling very optimistic about tomorrow- we have builders in so I have to eat out - I'm much better eating at home so I can properly control & count the calories

Ethiopianflower · 19/07/2018 22:37

I know the feeling daisy c - you can’t be good all the time - have to break out. But we can hop back up on the wagon and off we go again. Main thing is not to get too stressed about down days - they won’t dictate our end goal if we keep on track more often than not. I used to run a good bit and then stopped about a year ago. I’m back at it only since I started the new regime - 2 weeks ago. I do 6km every evening and it takes me round 45 mins - very slow!!!! But I don’t mind - just want to get the heart rate going for a good bit. I listen to podcasts as I run and it makes it less boring. Give it a go.

DaisyChops · 19/07/2018 22:54

EF, 6k is amazing, the weight will fall off you doing that!

I started couch to 5k sessions last year and i really enjoyed them as I would much rather be outside than in a gym but they never did them this year so i just need to get the app and do it myself!

Ethiopianflower · 19/07/2018 22:58

Go for it!!! You will feel brilliant, daisy c, when you come in from the run. You can take it at your own pace. I am SO slow. Good for the head too!!!
