You've done so well shedders I'm sure you'll achieve your target!

One of the kids took a photo of me on my phone looking enormous so I am getting all the motivation I need to get back on that wagon!!

Also DH said to me this morning, face it, you're not going to lose weight as you've been trying for 3 years AngryAngryAngry think he might have given me the incentive I need for 3rd September!!

Shedders · 26/08/2018 20:06

Daisy I think you’re doing the right thing. Getting yourself ready. Preparing yourself. All these things. Write them down. Print the picture out. Keep them for motivation. If I can do it. Anyone can. I really believe that. Once u start to see a difference it will motivate u more. How much do u want to lose ?

CringeFactor · 26/08/2018 21:17

Hi, mind if I join in? I need to lose about 3 stone and could do with somewhere to keep me going.

Haven't weighed myself for months but will brave it in the morning. Eeek Confused

Shedders · 26/08/2018 21:32

Hey cringe.

DaisyChops · 26/08/2018 23:38

Welcome cringe 🙋‍♀️

Shedders I'd say about 2.5 stone to get me to my SW ideal weight but ideally I'll like to lose more if I could get there, so 3 stone.

Off on my hols tomorrow so I'll see you all on 3rd Sept with my horrendous weigh in 🙈

CringeFactor · 27/08/2018 07:00

Have a fab holiday Daisy

So I've weighed and it's actually the best it's been for ages! Might need to buy some new scales though as I'm sure that's not right.

I work 3 evenings a week so planning on doing some sort of 4:3 diet so by the end of the day when I'm hungriest (word?) I'll be at work and don't get a chance to eat. The rest of the time I'll eat normally but reduce portions and cut out choc and eating crap for the sake of it.

Shedders · 27/08/2018 07:17

have a lovely Daisy see u soon. Hey cringe sounds like a plan. Wishing u a great first day. I always think if u can keep going for just over the 2 weeks u will be ok.

CringeFactor · 28/08/2018 07:08

Well I managed to stay on track for day one which feels pretty good...been a long time that I've been saying I'll start tomorrow then I give up!

Do you think hitting step target and doing squats/other non cardio exercises is enough? I'm so unfit I struggle, also live in a flat so can't do star jumps or anything that involves noise as downstairs neighbour is a knob.

Shedders · 28/08/2018 07:42

Hey cringe. Well don’t for getting over the first hurdle. I lost a lot of weight and all I did was diet and walk. I walked every day. Prob about and hour and then more at weekends.

CringeFactor · 28/08/2018 07:50

That's good to hear, I don't mind walking and have set a 12k step goal wooo!

SBDB · 28/08/2018 08:04

Hey everyone
Had a long weekend away with my parents and managed to msintain. This is nothing short of a miracle really so I am pleased.
I go to Spain 3 weeks on Saturday so the pressure is on to stay focused now.

Hi cringe, if you wanted to do something more than walking the body coach on you tube has a series of low impact workouts. They don’t hurt your knees etc and are great for in a flat.

DaisyChops · 28/08/2018 21:31

Well done sdbd
*
Shedders,* how many steps have you been doing per day? I'm all or nothing, DH tells me to go walk and I'm all oh no, I'll do a 5k run and end up doing nothing for various excuses!

I've done nearly 18k steps today and I'd say several thousand involved carrying a toddler 😬

Shedders · 28/08/2018 22:14

I’ve got an office job so Monday to Friday I do 20 min jog now which is about 4000 steps then I aim for another 5000 during the day. Weekends. Half hour jog and 1 hour walk. Probably around 14,000. When I lost the 6 stone I was just walking about 10,000 steps a day. Fast walking tho. I’ve only recently started jogging. For me it about consistency and doing it daily

DaisyChops · 03/09/2018 09:07

Morning all, back from my hols and this is it...last chance at trying to shift this weight!!!!

Weighed in at 11 stone 9.75 lbs this morning, I was happy with that as I thought I might be seeing a 12 on the scales!!!

Anyone else still here trying to lose? I know a few of you have hols coming up....

Shedders · 03/09/2018 09:30

Hey Daisy. Hope u had a nice holiday. I’m still here, but it gone very quiet now. I stayed the same this week but I’m ok with that as I know I’ve been good and had a few good losses. Best of luck with your new start. U can do it xx

DaisyChops · 03/09/2018 12:37

Hi shedders, that's really good! You have done so well, did you originally start with SW? How long ago was that?

I joined SW a year ago and lost a stone and I'm really annoyed with myself that i've put it back on but I am determined this time, especially after seeing myself on holiday photos....OMG... so many chins!!!!!!

Shedders · 03/09/2018 12:42

I joined in March 2017. I’m thinking of going back once I get back to target. Might keep me on track better. Nothing worse that hating your holiday pics is there. So what’s ur plan ?

DaisyChops · 03/09/2018 13:23

My plan is to follow SW with loads of exercise and then do the 5:2 now it's a bit cooler! I've done that before and lost loads of weight but my thyroid has gone under active so I find it much harder to lose weight now so just planning to lose it slower and go for that whole lifestyle change. I cannot be on here saying the same thing in a years time!!!

Shedders · 03/09/2018 14:29

Sounds like a good plan. Yeah it’s definitely helpful to look at it as a lifestyle change. That’s what I’m trying to do now. It needs to be forever or it just goes back on

Ethiopianflower · 03/09/2018 20:59

Hey daisy - welcome back from the hols. Hope you had a great time . Well done on the scales. Hi shedders - well done for keeping on at it. I find I go through waves of being motivated and other times when it goes all out the window. Last week I lost a pound - first on in a couple of weeks - I had sort of plateaued. Hope this week goes well for you all.

Shedders · 03/09/2018 21:16

Well done on your loss Ethiopian. It’s hard when u stay the same. Well done for keeping going

Shedders · 05/09/2018 07:18

Hey Daisy how's it going ?

DaisyChops · 05/09/2018 09:24

Hi shedders, could be better!

I've been good in the day but my kids have been a nightmare going to bed, the older 2 caused ww3 and woke the younger 2 up last night so ended up eating chocolate 🙈.

I've not had chance to exercise but I've not stopped and have done over 10k steps on my fitbit each day so that something I guess.

Today is a new day!

How about you?

Shedders · 05/09/2018 09:41

Yeah I’m plodding along nicely. It’s my anniversary on Saturday and we are going out for a meal. So trying to be extra good so I can enjoy that. It’s really hard when u have youngsters around. I think I’m only doing well because I only have myself and my husband to worry about as kids have flown the nest.

Ethiopianflower · 05/09/2018 20:23

Happy anniversary shedders. Don’t be worrying about the chocolate daisy. I had 2 yummy bags of crisps today. We can’t be angels all the time. I have gone down another hole in the belt buckle - v happy. Doesn’t show on the scales though. Hope you guys have a great weekend
