If I was motivated enough to get up off the sofa, chuck on my work out gear & go for a jog (albeit a short one), then maybe I'm in this for the long haul & I should buy that Fitbit zip

DaisyChops · 20/07/2018 22:03

I agree Mrs G, if you don't use it much you could just sell it! But that won't happen Grin

Shedders · 21/07/2018 08:51

Morning guys. Thanks for the lovely comments. Well done all u joggers. It must feel great to get out and run. I’m doing a gentle plod around my lounge and kitchen for 20 mins a few times a week. It really gets my heart rate up compared to walking and burns some good calories. Also walk 30 mins everyday and more at weekends. Tiny bit of weights but not much. Just off out for a walk now and coming back to chicken sausages and scrambled eggs for brunch around 11. Hope u all have a good day today. Smile

Well done to everyone so far

I didn't lose any weight this week

But I probably had a week of eating and drinking that would be easy to maintain so a few tweaks and i can probably continue

To be fair to me (which i always amGrin) i did lose a lot of weight for me last week...i haven't gained any back and my weight loss tends to go in a two weekly cycle unless im incredibly strict (1000 cals)

So not too unhappy

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 21/07/2018 09:49

Oh yes and i really do need to exercise...i do none!!

itsBritneyBeach · 21/07/2018 10:04

Well done everyone! Especially you guys who can be bothered to JOGShockGrin

I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I've lost another lb!

Total loss 3lb which isn't a great amount but I'm pleased with it Grin

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 21/07/2018 10:06

Oooh well done britney

itsBritneyBeach · 21/07/2018 10:12

Thanks Rufus! I'm a bit miffed the OP has started us all off and ran away Grin

happytobemrsg · 21/07/2018 10:56

Had a weigh in this morning (keeps me motivated over the weekend) & Ive lost 2.5lb since Tuesday so I'm very pleased! If I lost 5lb more by September I'd be so happy.

happytobemrsg · 21/07/2018 10:57

@chubchubchub come back!!!!

Shedders · 21/07/2018 11:08

Wow brill. Some great losses. And a maintain is great. Better than gaining. I’m not weighing till the 1st of aug. Used to weigh daily but trying to hold out Grin

Opheliasgoldenwine · 21/07/2018 12:10

I will be weighing in on Tuesday. My weight before I started was 12st 7lb and I'm 5"7. Not sure if I've lost any, Tuesday will tell xx

happytobemrsg · 21/07/2018 13:33

So my plans for today got messed up & going to watch a football match instead. I WILL stay away from the burger van with its yummy onions. I will. I will....

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 13:53

Can anyone explain the science behind why my scales (which I know are accurate, as I test them each week against the ones at Weight Watchers) tell me I've gained anything between 2 and 5lbs after doing my C2 5K run?

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 15:45

Think it's to do with water retention.

Often happens when i start a health kick and exercise loads, i never lose any weight at first whereas if I just stick to a diet and no exercise I seem to lose more weight.

I just have to keep telling myself to stick with it as the weight tends to start falling about week 3, as a daily weigher I find it really annoying and hard to stick to it when the scales show no loss.

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 15:57

I tend to just do it once a week, at WW, but step on our scales immediately after weigh-in there to check ours are accurate for dh.

Shedders · 21/07/2018 16:03

Daisy this is why I’ve hidden my scales. The fluctuations from exercise or water or whatever sometimes put a downer on my day and I think may as well have something naughty. I’m hoping staying off them for a couple of weeks will help with that. Obviously the danger is if your doing something wrong u don’t spot it for a few weeks either. But so far it’s keeping me focused

Opheliasgoldenwine · 21/07/2018 18:02

How's everyone doing today?xx

Ethiopianflower · 21/07/2018 18:22

Well done everyone - great weight losses and maintains going on!!!! Don’t worry if the scales aren’t moving - they don’t tell the whole picture. If we are eating less and healthier and moving more - we are on the right path. Sometimes I will notice it in my clothes before the scales. Was in McDonald’s today with my daughter after her sports blitz and had.................. a chicken salad and bag of kids carrots 🥕- boy did I feel like burger, chips and yummy hot apple pie - my favourite. Good luck this weekend everyone.

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 18:35

I'm 2.5lbs off my goal. Have lost 3 and a 1/4 stone in total but am struggling with "diet" fatigue at the moment. The " are because I know it's a plan for life, not a diet, and the struggle to get these last couple of lbs off is because I'm cheating left, right and centre but damn it, I WANT this wine!!!!

Shedders · 21/07/2018 18:45

Ok thanks. Just had chicken stir fry and a yogurt for dinner. Hoping to get through the eve without munching. How about u ?

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 19:04

Been ok for a weekend, I bought DH a biiiig vanilla slice and resisted so that was an achievement in itself!

Been to the gym and Fitbit says I am 1,000 calories under for the day but the night is young Grin

EF you are my hero for getting a salad in mcd!!! I've heard they are really nice but I can never quite bring myself to order one!

adayatthebeach · 21/07/2018 19:08

I’m with you. I’ve gained over two stone and would like to lose it so my clothes will fit again.

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 19:10

Wow, that's really like, wow to lose all that weight! Did you follow a particular diet and how long did it take you?

Have you tried the 5:2, I find that works quite quick when you start but I just can't do it in the summer!

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 19:11

Welcome adayatthebeach, same here, I am refusing to buy new clothes and have hardly anything that fits me!
