Oh very well done wow

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 19:38

I have tried the 5:2, yes, along with every other diet known to man. Some of them have worked short-term, by which I mean for as long as I kept them up.
However, the only thing that has ever worked for me is Weight Watchers and that is because it's not so much a diet as a healthy eating plan as a way of life. So I haven't had to deny myself hugely, or make massive changes to the things I like to eat. In moderation, I can have a little of most of what I like.
But I have found, finally, that holy grail of which I've heard others speak, which is that my tastes have changed, and I now longer want to stuff carbs. I hardly eat bread at all, or potatoes or chocolate.
I'll report back when I've cracked the wine and crisps habit! Smile

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 19:40

And whilst I'll take the congratulations (Grin), will it make any of you feel better or worse if I say it really hasn't been that hard to do?
And I PROMISE you, if I can do it, anyone can, as I thought I had zero will-power. And I've started running, ffs! Me!!

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 21/07/2018 19:45

I was thinking of weight watchers wow

But yeah YOURE NOT BEING HELPFUL

Grin

Very well done though

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 19:50

Thank you. It feels fantastic at this end of the journey, I have to say.
But the thing is, if it's too hard, or too alien to your natural way of life, then you just won't stick to it. You have to find a way of combining a reduced intake and increased exercise with little treats too.

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 19:53

Wow, this is a bit like a 'AMA I've lose 3 stone' for wow Smile, how long did it take you?

WowLookAtYou · 21/07/2018 19:54

Daisy, I missed your other question, sorry.
I started in August last year but began feeling better almost straightaway and people were noticing the difference after a couple of months. I had 2 stone off by Christmas. The last stone and a bit has taken longer because Ive relaxed a lot bit (holidays/2 weddings and general life stuff, but that's pretty standard for most of us) and the latest 1/4 stone comes off and goes on, yoyo-style.

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 20:02

That's really good Wow, well done, you are an inspiration!

Guys, that'll be us in a year 🏃‍♀️🤸‍♂️🧘‍♀️🤞😁

Hello, I’m new here, not sure if this will help but I’m on a journey. I have lost dropped 3 dress size I can tell you what I did if anyone is interested it’s not a fad plan it’s a 16weeks plan, with meal plan, detox plan and support.

Shedders · 21/07/2018 21:26

I think everything works. As long as u stick to it. Weight watchers. Slimming world. Cambridge. Slimfast. Calorie counting. All of them. It’s about finding what suits u and sticking to it. Still enjoying life , going out and accepting u main gain on hols etc. But getting back on it when your back. The 6 stone I lost wasn’t hard. Its making it a life change that’s hard. Realising this is forever.

happytobemrsg · 21/07/2018 21:31

@WowLookAtYou well done such an amazing achievement! I've heard the final few pounds are the hardest to lose

@Ethiopianflower I also resisted a McDonald's apple pie today - go us!!

I've just been looking at Reiss online & I want 90% of what's on there. Maybe if I reach my goal weight I'll treat myself to a new wardrobe... quite the incentive

Opheliasgoldenwine · 21/07/2018 21:39

Can I ask how much people are trying to lose?xx

Shedders · 21/07/2018 21:42

Another stone for me. Then holiday and might do another one but will see how I feel

DaisyChops · 21/07/2018 21:53

2 stone at least!

Vivumu · 21/07/2018 22:10

Hi, how’s your journey going? Jusk asking

Vivumu · 21/07/2018 22:12

Is there anyone struggling to loose or maintain the weight they lost? The plan I’m on can help let’s go on it together💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Ethiopianflower · 21/07/2018 23:17

A Stone and a half is my goal. You guys are a great inspiration!!!!! If I wasn’t trying to avoid the prosecco 🥂 I would toast your fantastic achievements!!!

WowLookAtYou · 22/07/2018 00:08

Vivumu, You sound as though you're trying to sell something.

Vivumu · 22/07/2018 03:56
