Quorn mince and chunks are great for a good loss as they are speed food.

I had a quorn shepherds pie last night

2 onions chopped and simmered in 3/4pt of bovril stock for 20 mins. Add quorn mince, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 1 tbsp of worcester sauce and some paprika. Simmer for a few minutes and add a tin of baked beans ( adds rchness and more speed). Top with either mash potatoe or like last night couldnt be bothered with mash so sliced a normal and sweet potato. microwaved the slices until tender and layed on top of the mixture and baked until brown.

The only sins is the tomato puree, but is negligable as the above will feed around 4 people.

Nemo2007 · 07/06/2007 09:44

ohh will try that tommorow or sat I think..thanks
Am doing spag bol tonight.

CayKon · 07/06/2007 10:25

I am also interested if anyone else has any yummy free meals, especially if they contain lots of speed food, as I am getting married on the 11th August and wont to loose as much as I can by then.

Loobyloo22 · 07/06/2007 10:49

Hi all - Wi tonight and I am actually excited about it - sad hey? Unchief - you will probably find that because you have been exercising you have just added muscle weight (it is heavier than fat) but you have probably lost inches instead.

Rooicosta · 07/06/2007 12:43

CayKon - I'm getting married 3rd August in Malta (8 weeks to go ) and we're having a big party when we get back on the 11th August so will think of you then!!!

I've got about a stone to lose and I think that's achievable in 8 weeks. What does everyone else think going by their past experiences?

I've heard that the student 7 day meal plan on the website is great for quick results by the way!

Loobyloo22 · 07/06/2007 12:55

Hi Rooicosta. Of course you can do it! I got married in Spain two years ago and lots of people came out to the wedding. I was determined that those who hadn't seen me in a while would be shocked at the weight loss. In 12 weeks I lost over 2 stone and I felt fab. It is so worth doing you will feel a million dollars.

CayKon · 07/06/2007 13:15

Rooicosta- I wish you luck, unfortunately I still have 4.5 stone to go untill target so am just aiming for as much as is realistically possible. I'll also think about your party on the 11th. I am having a big barn dance with live band, bouncy castles and bucking bronco and a pig roast. So at least the pig roast will be good on red just a shame about all the alcoholic syns i'll have. But that is one day I am going to enjoy myself and not worry

Rooicosta · 07/06/2007 16:54

I totally agree! Eat, drink and be merry!! It's your day afterall. Sounds great by the way.

Loobyloo - thanks for your inspiration. Did you do it on SW or some other plan by chance?

welcome back, i know lots of folk who have tried ww but found they were always hungry!!

RoseQuartz · 07/06/2007 20:49

omg, help me please anybody !
I joined SW 3 weeks ago, attended the following week and lost 1 pound...omg I could have cried, I was so disappointed!
OK I was good for the first 3 days of that week but as soon as stress got a hold of me, then I just devoured anything and everything that I knew full well should have kept well away from!
Anyway my problem is that since then, I have not attended sw last week or this week, I just seem to lack motivation after a very short time, I can't keep going for more than a few days without making a right pig of myself!
Thing is, it's not that I have only a few pounds to lose, as in fact I have more like 10 stone to get rid of. Please can anybody tell me how I can keep attending sw regularly and sticking to the plan rather than making a mess of it all the time. I feel so stupid, as I know I have to do something about my weight problem, as no doubt my health will suffer as a result of so much extra weight. Please, if you have any tips on how I can stop snacking, especially when the kids are in bed, then the munchies hit me good 'n' proper!!!I have a terrible sweet tooth by the way, and could easily eat the entire cake shelf of any supermarket!!! Sweet foods/coca cola etc are my main downfalls, but it has to be said, that I love food in any way, shape or form! Is there anyone else on here with a lot to lose like I have, or am I the original Mrs Blobby on here?!

Mikkig · 07/06/2007 21:25

You sound just like the rest of us. I want to lose a total of 5 stone and have 2 stone left to go. My downfall is savoury stuff like crisps and cheese. It is hard, especially if you have tried hard and not lost as much as you hoped. Hang on in there and try to have lots of stuff in the house such as fruit. Candy floss is only about 5 syns per bag so thats a thought. I had to literally throw all the good stuff out of the house to stop me having cheese feasts in the middle of the night. It gets easier I promise.

fireflyfairy2 · 07/06/2007 22:43

Hi RoseQuartz

First of all, swap the cocacola for diet cola & swap the cakes for snack a jacks & hi fi bars

Also keep some fruit in the house, ideally already chopped/cored etc then you have no excuse as it is as handy to eat fruit salad as it is to rip open a bar of galaxy

I think the trick is to go to the meetings!! Even if you don't get weighed for a while, it's up to you. At our meeting you can go & listen to the talk, grab a slice of motivation & get weighed the following week

It sounds to me like you would benefit from meal planning?? That way you won't panic when you think about what to have to eat or where your next meal is coming from, a problem that a lot of us suffer from!

Stress hits hard also, but again, the only way to deal with it is by not having the unhealthy foods in the house. Who can really be bothered to get in the car/walk to a shop just to buy a chocolate bar?? I find that I tell myself it is only X amount of days until weigh in & I'll have my chocolate/crisps/pizza that day. It helps me.

Anyway, if you keep posting here you will get loads of support xox Don't be afraid to ask questions, we'll help you as best as we can

Heya Christie, WB

fireflyfairy2 · 07/06/2007 22:45

Mikkig, use your syns for lo fat crisps & your HEa for cheese?? You don't have to go without

I find that if I cut the 28g of full fat cheddar & grate it on the smallest holes of the grater, it goes far further
