Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

nodtik · 08/06/2018 17:29

Well after a bad start, decided to sort my shit out too and have started SlimFast 🤣🤣🤣

Three shakes and a bowl of cereal today so far ..... aim is to get through the evening without eating my left arm!

Not feeling too hungry at the moment 👍 xx

nodtik · 08/06/2018 17:31

Wow Greedy Piglet .... that's just awesome xx

ZetaPuppis · 08/06/2018 18:03

Closing the kitchen for me now. I had
Porridge and berries
Marmite rice cakes
Mango
Watermelon
Crisps
Lentil stew
Ryvita
Scoop of dairy free ice cream

I didn’t think I’d had that much throughout the day! It looks like a lot written down. And quite a bit of crap too.
That shows me how easy it is to overeat as I thought I was really restrained today.
Must try harder.

Doje · 08/06/2018 18:44

Right, I'm ready and prepped for 'drinks and nibbles' tonight. Thanks to those who suggested crudités! They're all chopped up and ready to go, plus a home made salsa that is healthy and tastes good so I can avoid the other less angelic dips!

A 3k run, and keeping my three meals as light as possible means I have 390k left of my MFP allowance. I'm sure I'll go over that, but it feels like a good head start.

Balloondog · 08/06/2018 19:31

Kitchen closed here today on:

B: Smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a slice of whole meal toast (no butter) with salad and a tomato

L: Homemade pea and ham soup

D: Homemade firecracker chicken with peppers and onions and boiled rice

Snacks: Strawberries, banana and custard muller light yoghurt, babybel light

This is making me realise just how much I used to snack and much I relied on convenience food. I find cooking from scratch much harder when I'm hungry and all I want is something quick and easy ☹️

AsAProfessionalFekko · 08/06/2018 20:23

I'm having a glass of wine. A medium (?) one. Just the one though.

ZetaPuppis · 08/06/2018 21:24

Balloon do you have a recipe for firecracker chicken? It sounds fab.

notsusan · 08/06/2018 22:02

well done everyone who's dropped weight 👏🏽. Loads of us doing really well

I'm down 65 to 63 kilos, which google tells me is over 4 lb!! goddamn European scales. well chuffed though, I doubt it will carry on like this, but a nice start.

I'm at a wedding tomorrow so definitely a day off, although I will be wearing Spanx so won't be able to go too mental as there'll be nowhere for it to go Confused

@ZetaPuppis currently alternating between handmaid's tale and 'because we are bad' by lily bailey. both compelling reading, I just don't get the chance often. what about you?

3boys3dogshelp · 08/06/2018 22:47

Sorry I completely forgot to update! I’ve lost 2lbs which I’m quite pleased with as I have not eaten quite as well as I planned Blush
Some amazing weight losses!

greedypiglet · 08/06/2018 22:50

Well done Slinky for the list. We have all done amazingly well.

We all need to stick to it and be good this week.

OP posts:
KatharineHilbery · 08/06/2018 23:07

OMG am so excited! Have had a celebratory glass of 🍷. Seriously though this is a great incentive not to fuck it all up over the weekend. Have a lunch party tomorrow - will need to stay off the Coronation Chicken.

ZetaPuppis · 08/06/2018 23:15

Fab work slinky thanks for that list.

notsusan I just finished The Woman in Cabin 10 and am listening to Handmaids tale on bbciplayer radio. Not sure what I’m going to read next.

Narkle · 09/06/2018 06:40

Wow, that is a great list of successes there!

Weighed myself again this morning; scales say 10st 1. My weight has fluctuated far too much for my liking this week, but I'll take the overall 1lb loss. Grin

The youngest has been on a continuous 3-day tantrum with absolutely no let-up (angry screaming all the time), unless eating or sleeping, but with night terrors in between, so I broke my dry month yesterday with a glass of Gin after he'd finally dropped off. One was more than enough, though.

Successes last week:
-exercise for at least 30min every morning
-no alcohol for 7 consecutive days
-no seconds for dinner

Aldi has a lot of nice fruit on offer, so I've stocked up on cherries, apricots and grapes this week rather than the boring apples and nanas every day.

Ginxed · 09/06/2018 09:00

Well done Slinky and well done everyone on their losses! I had a manic day yesterday so didn't get a chance to send my results, but I managed to lose a pound.

Got my niece's 40th tomorrow so I'm not hopeful for this week, there will be bad food choices and cake, but it is a special occasion!

ClandestineAdulation · 09/06/2018 11:06

Checking in with a 6.3lbs loss for my first 6 days!

Congrats to all the other losers this week and for those whose scales have betrayed them(!), you can do this!

I'm sorting my shit out as from tomorrow
nodtik · 09/06/2018 11:32

Wow 6.3 lbs is awesome!

I was just pleased to weigh 10at 5lbs today, rather than the 10st 6lb I weighed last week!!

Well done you xx

theedgeofthecloud · 09/06/2018 11:35

Belatedly updating week one, not sure if I am too late for Slinky's list. I started at 11st 6.4lbs. Yesterday's weigh in saw me down to 11st 2.8lbs. Chuffed with that especially as Thursday night involved copious amounts of wine and crisps. Was horribly hungover yesterday but managed to eat relatively well (with the exception of some peanut butter cheesecake 😶). Back on it with a vengeance today.

pigpoglet · 09/06/2018 11:41

Well done everyone 🤗🤗

ClandestineAdulation · 09/06/2018 11:58

Thanks nodtik!

I imagine any further loss of me will not be quite as significant; I find I tend to lose more in the first week than anything else!

stevie69 · 09/06/2018 12:48

Hi everyone,

I've just caught up with the messages on this fantastic thread. There's lots of pounds mysteriously disappearing, which is great news Smile

For anyone who fell off the wagon at any point, the thing to do is to put it behind you and get back on the plan: STRAIGHT AWAY. The thing NOT to do is to think: 'Well I've blown it for this week so I'll carry on eating rubbish and start again next week'. No! Start again RIGHT NOW and those minor indiscretions won't show at your next weigh in. Trust me Smile

I'm trying to get into bodybuilding show shape so I too am on a weight loss phase for the next week or two. Would it be OK for me to join in? I weighed in at 57.9kg (9st 1.5lb) this morning and am aiming for 54.5kg (8st 8lb). I'll post on Friday along with everyone else.

Wishing you a all a fabulous healthy weekend. Let's keep this going. S x

amaygdala58 · 09/06/2018 15:12

Thanks Slinky for doing the list. Just had a bulletproof coffee today lovely seafood paella for dinner cooked from scratch by DH.

It’s our wedding anniversary tomorrow so a bottle of champagne and further seafood and fish will be involved but no cheese board then back to the exercise next week keep it up everyone we can do it .

greedypiglet · 09/06/2018 15:39

Just checking in.

Stevie you are an inspiration and your before and after photos are amazing. It just shows that we can all achieve this if we stick our minds to it.

Hope everyone is getting on ok, I guess weekends are a little harder.

Enjoy your day.

I feel better not that I have converted my kilos into old money. 4.4lb sounds a lot better than 2kg. And I read that you can put on weight at your time of the month so that cheered my up no end!
