Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

4th day in a row I haven't eaten any snacks at work...pretty good considering my track recordGrin Just finding it tough to find dinners that are low cal and I'll actually eat!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Doje · 07/06/2018 13:43

Haha amay that's my secret weapon too! I'm having one now too, to stave of the hunger pangs! Thankfully I've always drunk black coffee so I don't have to worry about milk calories.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 07/06/2018 14:03

Oddly enough I had a massive coffee (or 2) this morning and it took me ages to feel hungry.
So far today I've had:

2 weetabix with oat milk
Baked potato with hummus and spinach
2 coffees

ZetaPuppis · 07/06/2018 15:03

Is bulletproof coffee just coffee and butter?

Playmobilpeacock · 07/06/2018 15:52

Bulletproof coffee can be made a variety of ways zeta

With butter or coconut oil is the 'classic' way. If you blend it together it becomes like a creamy latte.

I have mine with a raw egg, a dessert spoon of coconut oil, mct oil and a dash of vanilla. Blended together it's so good and fills you up for ages.

pigpoglet · 07/06/2018 15:59

Coffee was my secret losing weight weapon but I had to give caffeine up due to headaches .. decaf just doesn't quite cut it 🙄

Doje · 07/06/2018 16:36

Oh, I didn't know that was what 'bulletproof' coffee meant! I'm just quite partial to a strong black coffee. It tends to keep me focused between meals.

amaygdala58 · 07/06/2018 17:08

Yes I make my bulletproof coffee two measures of nespresso tablespoon of grass fed butter and 1 tablespoon of mct oil it is a purer derivative of coconut oil a healthy source of medium chain triglycerides 200 calories but it really fills you up. In fact I’ve had a really stressful day but don’t feel like comfort eating Smile

Doje · 07/06/2018 17:18

200 calories in a coffee though!

I'm having a decent sized slice of quiche for the same number. Shock

Underthefur · 07/06/2018 17:36

Count me in please!

Have been arsing about supposedly getting my shit together since new year and now it's June and I'm still fat.

Will weigh in tomorrow with the rest of you if that's ok?

greedypiglet · 07/06/2018 17:50

Under welcome. I too have been trying to get my shit together since new year!

ZetaPuppis · 07/06/2018 18:16

I usually have coffee with almond milk in and it’s lovely. I think I’ll stick to that for the time being!
Today has not been a good day thanks to homemade cupcakes.

Porridge with berries
Satsuma
Ryvita
Cupcake
Chicken stir fry with brown rice vermicelli
Another cupcake gah!

Kitchen is now shut so hopefully I won’t do any more damage.

blibblibs · 07/06/2018 18:48

I'm a bit late to the party but can I join you too please?
I decided Monday this week was the time to get my shit together and I've mostly eaten skips & maltesers this week Blush
I will weigh in tomorrow if that's OK and hopefully I'll be a bit better at staying on track with you all behind me.

Doje · 07/06/2018 22:43

Come on in blibs!

Done ok today, but have just invited people round for nibbles tomorrow. Any ideas on what I can buy that's not too calorific? I'm not good at just 'not eating' when it's there in front of me. Confused

SlinkyB · 07/06/2018 23:04

Wish I liked coffee!! Have switched from Yorkshire with milk and two sugars...down to half a sugar (tho can tolerate none, I just don't enjoy it) and am now having just one of those in the morning then switching to flavoured green tea (obvs no milk or sugar. 1 kcal and feels healthy enough).

Doje good luck!! I'm rubbish in that situation too. Don't want to be "that" person. So usually do lots of crudités, low fat hummous, big fruit salad. Buuut... inevitably someone will bring a big bag of crisps and a pouch of Maltesers and I'll still have some. We are only human. Not drinking helps with my self control massively, but if I'm hosting that goes out the window.

Best of luck to everyone sliding onto the scales in the morning (I'm so glad there are none on this holiday !!). Be proud of your efforts no matter the number, and carry on doing the best you can (even if it means the odd cupcake here and there).

Ginxed · 07/06/2018 23:13

Ouch piglet just seen about your toes, hope they're not too painful.
Work got a bit stressy this week so I have slipped a bit, but have been better than my normal week so I'm hoping for a small loss in the morning. I have caved and had 2 small glasses of wine tonight but no snacks with it which is an improvement!

KatharineHilbery · 07/06/2018 23:18

Good day today I think in preparation for weigh-in tomorrow.
Breakfast/lunch - big bowl of muesli
Dinner - 2 scrambled eggs, smoked salmon.
Fingers crossed ...

ZetaPuppis · 07/06/2018 23:28

Sorry piglet I forgot to mention your toes! Sounded horrible when I was reading about it earlier. Wishing you a quick recovery.

Doje I would do crudités too and have some baked crisps things. Maybe ryvita minis and things like olives. I’ve seen a good recipe for baked onion Bhajis if you wanted to make something.
But the best thing to do is to fill yourself on soup or some fruit before everyone comes so you don’t end up eating loads.

koalab · 08/06/2018 06:29

It's weigh day!
So a sneaky mid week weigh had me at 2lb down, but I have woken up bloated like a balloon and the start of my period so my official weight is 13st4lb so a loss of 1lb.
1lb was my target anyway and so far all I have done is reduce snacking so I can't complain. This week I need to look at portion control.
Good luck everyone!

greedypiglet · 08/06/2018 06:43

Koalab well done. Period bloat always makes you heavier and it takes a few days to go. Any loss is great.

koalab · 08/06/2018 06:49

Thanks greedy. Hope your toes get better quick. I have very little self awareness so my toes kick anything that gets in the way. I just don't see things 😂

rabbitmat · 08/06/2018 06:53

Well done koalab

I've lost 4lb! I knew I'd do well to start with - its keeping it up that is the problem. Also my achilles tendon is sore so I'm not sure how I'm going to keep up with the exercise next week.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 08/06/2018 06:54

Just weighed myself and have lost 4lbs since last Friday! But I know that it's easy to lose weight in the first week so I won't be complacent.

It does mean that for the first time in ages I weigh less than DH - Just. He is 11.01 but as he's 6'1" he's quite skinny. He eats loads. It's not fair!

It's his birthday on Monday and we're going out for dinner so I might not lose much next week......

JustLurkingAway · 08/06/2018 06:56

1lb here tooSmile Could've had a better week exercise-wise, but I've definitely cut down on snacking especially at work.

Hope everyone gets the result they want when they weigh-in!

cmcc22 · 08/06/2018 07:10

I'm the same as @koalab. I was hoping for 2 or 3lbs after a mid week check but period arrived yesterday and ruined that - 1lb off for me
