Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

Ds1 made a lovely cake today. I had a bit and am desperately trying not to eat anymore.
I don’t like biscuits or cakes generally but I love home baked stuff. It’s so lovely.
I’m going to have a cup of tea and go to bed early. I want to get back into reading again. I seem to have lost the ability to get lost in a book Sad

Sierra259 · 05/06/2018 22:01

Not quite as good today in terms of avoiding bread but had better success with naughty snacks so under calories, plus 20 mins on exercise bike and an hour running around soft play with DC2! I found 2 really pretty dresses online today and have decided I'm allowed to buy them when I get to 11st (my halfway goal).

Playmobilpeacock · 05/06/2018 22:34

Hello.

A good-ish few days for me with lots of exercise and keeping below my calorie allowance.

Keep on keeping on!

KatharineHilbery · 05/06/2018 22:53

Spent 12 hours marking exam scripts. Fortunately the tonsils are subsiding. Came in under calories but they are all crap. White bread and wine.

StubbleTurnips · 05/06/2018 22:58

Evening all

Started C25k today, didn't die on run one so that's a result. Had a mixed day, am very unhappy with work so trying not to emotion eat.
B: 1 slice multigrain toast and 2 hard boiled eggs
L: veg couscous wth chopped tomatoes & cucumber in it, banana
D: sweet potato jacket, veges, crustless quiche Lorraine
Sn: rustled some of DDs mini cheddars without thinking earlier but stopped!

Have to say I'm not keen on the jacket sweet potato, too sweet for me!

greedypiglet · 06/06/2018 06:58

Morning all

Terrible day for me yesterday. Lots of stress and lots of eating. I didn't eat anything particularly bad just far too much food. I am feeling really down about it, I'm going to try and sort my shit out today and get back on track.

My new dishwasher is being delivered this morning, this should cheer me up. I've been washing up by hand for last few days. It's so time consuming!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Everyone has days like that greedypiglet Don't feel bad! One bad day doesn't undo all the good days- you'll be back on track today and you'll be fine.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 06/06/2018 08:12

I had a bad food day yesterday - at a conference and trade show so very early start, rubbing around and limited in choice of food (I know - I should have prepared something in advance) but my weight today is... Same as yesterday!

It's very odd - I can have a 'good' day and put weight on or have a 'Bad' day and this doesn't happen.

ZetaPuppis · 06/06/2018 09:24

I’ve lost 2lbs so far. I’ve only got anologue scales so it’s hard to tell if it’s slightly more than that but it’s definitely 2lbs at least.
I’m now out of obese and into overweight. Hooray Smile

I’ve got some time at home today so I’m going to make a lentil and butternut squash stew for dinner.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/06/2018 09:29

Yay for being down a weight category, Zeta! Horrors, if I was similar weight/height to you, does that mean I was obese on Monday? Too scared to check!

I am down 2.8lbs this morning, yay! Did nursery run (15 minutes dragging child on scooter - exhausting!) and have booked myself into BodyPump at lunchtime. The work gym does shorter versions of classes so they fit into 45 mins, so it's not a full hour's class, but it's still hard! I'm going out for dinner and drinks tomorrow so will probably ruin all my hard work so far, but oh well.

Pinkgeorge · 06/06/2018 09:46

Can I join ? I’m 5’5 and 12st8 I want to be 11st. I feel so fat, old and scruffy ☹️

greedypiglet · 06/06/2018 09:53

Well done Zeta that is good news. Keep it up.

greedypiglet · 06/06/2018 09:57

Welcome pinkgeorge

I too feel old fat and scruffy. We started this last Friday and I have been trying to make more of an effort wearing make up and blow drying my hair in the mornings. It does make me feel better but I'm still fat** Grin

I was doing ok until yesterday when I just couldn't stop eating but today I am going to try harder. Am so fed up with looking lardy.

Thanks Rosieposie though, in the spirit of full disclosure, my day yesterday didn't end up quite as virtuous as planned...Hmm. After a long day at work I flopped on the sofa with a (slimline) g&t followed by a -large- glass of rose and didn't make it to the gym. Still not bad on the food front though:

Breakfast: Skinny latte, Pret bircher muesli with apple and pomegranate
Lunch: Tuna and salmon sashimi brown/wild rice, creamy basil herb dressing
Dinner: Homemade green soup – spinach, broccoli, onion, potato
Snacks: 4 oatcakes, small bag salted cashews, slimline gin and tonic, large glass rose wine.
Exercise: About an hour’s walking

Jeans definitely marginally looser this morning.

Random breakfast today of half a fishcake (Dad's leftovers), a small piece of cheese and two pieces of fruit. Lunch is tomatoes and mushrooms on one slice of wholemeal bread and dinner is probably leftover green soup. My mantra for today is: eat mindfully and enjoy a variety of healthy food.

Thanks again for this thread greedypiglet - It's the first time I've felt slightly more accountable for my actions and I think it's helping me keep away from the biscuit drawer.

I'm out at a gig tomorrow night and will be drinking and that is always where it goes wrong and I end up head first in a (veggie) kebab.

ZetaPuppis · 06/06/2018 10:56

Thank you.
TooExtra don’t worry. I think you were a few lbs less than me. Well done to you too.

ZetaPuppis · 06/06/2018 10:58

Veggie kebab sounds very healthy actually Smile

KatharineHilbery · 06/06/2018 11:00

piglet I feel your pain. I have always hated washing up with a passion!
Small bowl of muesli for breakfast. Then I had a PTA meeting where the hostess had prepared a sumptuous breakfast of muffins, toast and fruit tarts and I ate - nothing!!!!
Polishing my halo...

theedgeofthecloud · 06/06/2018 11:01

Zeta Only if I leave out the chips and haloumi Grin

ALittleAubergine · 06/06/2018 11:01

Mind if I join? I've got a stone to lose, it's all comfort food and treats, I've lost my baby weight so now I need some serious motivation to lose the rest.

My plan is to not buy any chocolate or biscuits for home, because if I've got something in the cupboard I will eat all of it in one go. I will allow myself regular treats when outside though as it's something I need.

I've changed from ice cream to ice lollies and that's helped a bit, much less calories. I'm encouraging myself to go for savoury stuff rather than sweet stuff.

Doje · 06/06/2018 17:00

Looking to stay on track for MFP today thanks to a run this morning.

Found out yesterday that DH who is also 'being good' is allowed 400 more calories than me in a day! He's the same height as me, and two years older. Not fair!

If anyone else doing MFP fancied sharing a their 400 ish calorie dinners with me I'd appreciate it! Starting to feel a bit stuck....

ZetaPuppis · 06/06/2018 17:14

Doje I downloaded the nhs easy meals app. It looks quite good though I haven’t tried anything from it yet. It’s given me some ideas too.
I’ll put a link to it.

Doje · 06/06/2018 17:36

Thanks Zeta, I'll take a look!

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 06/06/2018 18:33

Eugh today has just been bad bad bad 😔
My team at work has been imploding with some v complicated personality clashes that I've had to sort today and someone brought in a massive cake so I've comfort eaten my way through a number of horrible meetings.
Tomorrow is someone's birthday as well so there will be more cake in the morning that I will have to try and avoid!

greedypiglet · 06/06/2018 18:45

I will be watching 'The Truth about Carbs' tonight on bbc1 @ 8 o'clock.

OP posts:
ZetaPuppis · 06/06/2018 18:55

That sounds like it will be interesting to watch.
I watched Forks Over Knives on Netflix last year. It was really thought provoking. It does have an agenda but worth watching if only for inspiring to take responsibility for your own health and body.
