Argh - I really need to be more mindful....day started well with a small bowl of muesli and a banana. Come to BILs for a bbq, been here half hour and I've had a glass of lemonade and a handful of crisps literally without even thinking about it 🤦🏼‍♀️

ltk · 03/06/2018 15:13

Making miso tofu kebabs for dinner. Thanks Katharine!

KatharineHilbery · 03/06/2018 15:32

Enjoy!
Food intake so far today - bowl of muesli and a banana. May essay some soup later.

ltk · 03/06/2018 16:02

Today
B: shredded wheat with raspberries
S: roughly 10 plain almonds
L: spinach salad with baba ganoush and 2 slices of wholewheat toast with butter

Feels like an easy day. I think I'll make it withiut backsliding.

frustratedashell · 03/06/2018 16:26

Hi Clandestine, 2 stone seems like a popular amount! Lol I have been using the my fitness pal app , I find it very helpful.

Knights, under active thyroid is a bugger! I've got that, don't get me started on how we treat it in the UK.
If you are under active ( or think you are ) I would recommend a website called health unlocked, I've learnt so much from them.

ClandestineAdulation · 03/06/2018 16:35

frustratedashell 2 stone is very much a guess - I need to get on the scales! I am going to start using MFP again, I used to find it really helpful but worry that it makes me obsess over calories/activity so will try to moderate this time!

NSEA · 03/06/2018 17:42

Can I join? I am 5’1” and 10.13.

Wneed to be at 9.7 for a healthy bmi but 9.3 would be great.

I am going to go low carb and do skipping.

NorthEndGal · 03/06/2018 17:45

Just back from my day 3 run/walk thing (c25k)
Haven't died yet...if I do, it will be drowning in a puddle of my own sweat though! Grin

ZetaPuppis · 03/06/2018 18:15

Ok day today. It’s so hot but I’ve had a really hungry day. Trying to control it.
Omelette
Apple
Itsu miso soup cup
2 ryvita
Crisps
2 roast potatoes and veg stew instead of the roast dinner.
Ice lolly later.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 03/06/2018 18:33

well, bike ride this morning wasn't quite as long as planned - 20 miles rather than 25, but I did manage to restrain myself when it came to lunch (tuna salad) and haven't munched on crisps this afternoon or indulged in wine, despite dh doing both!

The weather is so glorious this weekend that I really don't want to go back to work tomorrow. But I've booked myself into 2 gym classes in the evening so hopefully I will burn some calories in those.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 03/06/2018 18:34

Much as I don’t like the idea of meal replacements - these shakes are really really filling and if you have very low cal snacks (so boiled egg white on toast) you feel really stuffed.

mrsdarcey78 · 03/06/2018 20:28

Yes me too got over 10 stones to lose so half my body weight as it is. Good luck every one x

greedypiglet · 03/06/2018 20:30

Good luck MrsDarcey.

Hello to all the newcomers! Am I going to get circa 200 PM's on Friday?! Grin

Er, I've fallen slightly off the wagon. Just gonna type it out now to help me more than anything...

B: I actually didn't have any (miracle!) Because I slept in til gone 9am.
S: Actimel drink and handful of raspberries
L: Chicken, mash and boiled veg. Bit of gravy. (No Yorkshire or sausage for me)

We then went to a show with the kids and I had half a cider and a few spoonfuls of ice-cream.

D: chicken salad with a bit of caesar dressing (used it up - will be sticking with balsamic and olive oil from now on).

The little monkeys (4 and 7) are still up, and we're all in holiday mode as going to the coast tomorrow...so I'm just sipping some ice cold pinot grigio ! Blush Instead of my usual crisps, cheese and crackers though, I'm going to have fat-free yoghurt and fresh fruit.

Seeing it like that, I still feel like today has been a big improvement. Sunny weekends and holidays are HARD !!

fcekinghell · 03/06/2018 22:27

can I join youse? I need to lose 4 stone but I can't get motivated to start. I have tried every diet under the sun and they haven't worked because I'm just too fussy with my food and I always seem to be too busy to exercise. I need a kick up the arse and a simple way of doing things. Any tips and advice would really help

user1469751309 · 03/06/2018 22:33

Can I join please I have 2 1/2 stone to loose to get to a healthy weight it was 3 stone but have lost 8 pounds in two weeks just need to keep myself motivated as I'm easily led into the snack cupboard Blush

ZetaPuppis · 03/06/2018 22:50

fcekinghell what kind of food do you like to eat? Start off there and make slight changes.

pigpoglet · 04/06/2018 06:48

@fcekinghell .. download my fitness pal app .. work out your BMR and eat below it ... this is what I'm doing and I've lost 3 pounds since we started this thread ... I've tried every diet under the sun and lose so slowly I get the arse with it despite exercising so there may just be something in it .
🤔

JustLurkingAway · 04/06/2018 07:29

Hi everyone! Can I join? Only just seen this thread.
I think I'm around 14st (not going to weigh myself until Friday) and 5ft 3.

Need to get my butt into shape. Exercise is what let's me down as I do a desk job and constantly feel too tired to exercise once I'm home. Hoping that'll get better once I get into the swing of thingsSmile

greedypiglet · 04/06/2018 07:33

*Day 4
*
Good morning to you all and welcome fceking and user.

I'm doing ok, I haven't eaten anything bad so far but I miss the feeling of being really full. I feel hungry all the time, even after I have eaten. I hope that I start to feel better soon. I am sleeping really badly and have the sugar withdrawal headache. Painkillers don't help. On a positive note I am so pleased with myself for finally trying to sort my shit out. Can't wait until weigh day on Friday, it seems ages away.

How is everyone feeling today? (apart from feeling hungry!)

Be good today.

Hello Just, the more the merrier Grin

ZetaPuppis · 04/06/2018 08:02

Greedypiglet you’re doing really well.
I’ve got that hungry feeling too but I’m taking comfort in thinking that if I’m hungry then my body has to use my fat reserves for energy.
I’ve also got a headache but I haven’t given up anything. I’ll just take some painkillers and keep going.
I’m actually feeling very positive too and am glad I’m doing this. I’m imagining being 2 stone lighter and wearing lovely clothes....

amaygdala58 · 04/06/2018 08:22

Morning everyone

This weekend had nice bbq each day however reduced my normal weekend food intake by half and whilst I did have wine I also reduced my consumption by half too.

Also discovered that drinking more water when you are not used to it gave me a headache.

Got up early to use the exercise bike ready to face the day now.

greedypiglet · 04/06/2018 08:26

Zeta I too think that the hungry feeling is a positive thing as it means I'm on the right track. If I am feeling full and bloated then I wouldn't be losing weight. I'm so fed up with not fitting into my clothes but I refuse to buy a larger size as that would feel like I'm excepting being larger and that's not what I want. Am literally down to two pairs of jeans and three tops that fit but I do have a wardrobe full of clothes for when I lose the weight. I've really let myself go. Thank the lord that I have to wear a uniform for work!

Since Friday I have made a huge effort with myself. I have been blow drying my hair, putting make up on, earrings and even a squirt of perfume. It has made such a difference to how I feel about myself.
