Thank you rosetinted

cmcc22 · 03/06/2018 10:28

Morning all. Sounds like everyone is doing well.

I'm having a manic housework day which is just as good a gym class!! and staying away from the kitchen till after 12 - I find if I eat breakfast I get hungrier again quicker than if I don't eat - anyone else find that?

I did have one gin and slim while watching the soap awards last night - not sure what I feel most guilty about🤣

KatharineHilbery · 03/06/2018 10:51

OMG I think I have sugar withdrawal symptoms. Obviously this is good in a way as it means I’m doing something right - but bloody hell I feel shite. Have just had a bath but don’t feel any better. Off to lie groaning on the sofa.

Shiteatusernames · 03/06/2018 11:02

I'm in, happy to weigh in on Friday,I lost 4lb the other week and have stalled so my plan is lots of water and less carbs, does cous cous count as carbs as I've just discovered it and love it, oh and I want a stone gone by my holiday in 7 weeks, good luck ladies x

Rocinante1 · 03/06/2018 11:02

Had two meals out this last week and had my weigh day this morning... still reached my goal! Just some careful planning to accommodate the fancy meals, and I'm still going strong! Woohoo!

Shiteatusernames · 03/06/2018 11:02

Going to catch up on the thread now.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 03/06/2018 11:03

Am I late to the party? I’ve discovered 9 calorie pasta/noodles/rice! It’s not bad (a bit bouncy but ok).

It’s depressing how much my weight can go up and down overnight though.

greedypiglet · 03/06/2018 11:12

Katherine, I feel exactly the same from the sugar withdrawal. I've just changed my bed and had to have a lie down on the bed half way through! I feel exhausted with zero energy and a sore head. Something must be working. Next I need to find the energy to put the washing on the line Grin

As, never too late. This is only day three, it feels a lot lot longer.

Good luck.

Roc sounds like you are on a roll, keep it up.

ltk · 03/06/2018 11:16

Katharine and Greedy - I have the sugar withdrawal headache, too. It's just kinda there in the background. I know from past experience that I will feel much better for it in a couple of weeks, but it's a slog to get there!

greedypiglet · 03/06/2018 11:18

cmc22. I am exactly the same with breakfast, if I do have it I find that I eat so much more throughout the day. Even when I'm being a greedy bitch I rarely have breakfast, but can always manage chocolate!

ltk · 03/06/2018 11:20

Katharine, I know you feel awful, but when you're ready, could you tell me more about tofu miso kebabs? Hope you are feeling better.

greedypiglet · 03/06/2018 11:20

Itk yes I'm hoping I will feel better in a couple of days. I have been expecting the headache so I'm not really surprised. I would be happy to go back to bed and forget about the day but sadly that's not an option.

KatharineHilbery · 03/06/2018 11:38

Thank you piglet and ltk. I hope I don’t go on feeling like this for a couple of weeks! It is quite comforting to think of all the crap leaving my body though.
Kebabs: for two people, cut a block of tofu and an aubergine into 2cm cubes. Chop a bunch of spring onions into 2cm lengths. Thread onto skewers. Brush with about 1tbs miso and 1tbs sesame oil. Grill on a medium-hot griddle or barbecue for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the aubergine is soft. Mix together another tbs each of miso and sesame oil and serve the kebabs with this as a dipping sauce.

TitZillas · 03/06/2018 12:15

Hey - I’m late to the thread but I’d love to join in please. Am 11st 9 and 5’7 so could do with getting to around 10 stone ideally. I’m nursing a severe ankle injury and have spent the last 6 weeks sitting continuously with my ankle elevated, and my arse getting bigger! Wine is my only salvation but I accept that is not contributing well to my weight loss efforts. I will try very hard to find other ways to pass my time, sewing my mouth shut would be a start!

CanIKondo · 03/06/2018 12:55

Hi. Can I join? I'm fed up of being fat and feeling embarrassed about my weight. Think I'm around 14st Blush. Struggling to get started. Know I need to start running again. Need to stop eating rubbish especially when I'm tired.

frustratedashell · 03/06/2018 12:56

Hello all, I'm doing well , surprisingly! Lol. I saw my life coach the other day and we looked at my eating habits. Was quite illuminating! Basically I know I comfort eat, evenings are the worst! I feel depressed and lonely. So after a bit of digging we established that I eat to feel happy and to push away my feelings. So I need to do other things to make myself feel happy, other than feed my face. Sounds obvious when written down doesn't it? So am going to join an am dram society and a writer's group. Both are free so money not an issue.

Have put my face on yesterday and today, boosts my self esteem. Planning on going on a walk later when it's cooler. Feeling much better already

ClandestineAdulation · 03/06/2018 13:01

Hi! I’ve never been on one of these threads before but I am really struggling with weight loss and need a kick up the backside. Hoping this might help?!

frustratedashell · 03/06/2018 13:03

Hi Clandestine, we all need that kick up the bum at times! How much do you want to lose?

ZetaPuppis · 03/06/2018 13:05

I went for a long walk today then had breakfast at 12.30.
I’m another breakfast delayer. I’ll be ok now til about 4. If I’d had breakfast, I’d want to snack mid morning and would be starving by lunchtime.

I’m so desperate to lose weight now. I hate being so fat. I want to take my kids swimming without feeling self conscious. I want to look at photos of our days out and feel happy about the time we’ve had rather than feeling miserable about how horrible I look.
I’m keeping this mind to keep me motivated.

ClandestineAdulation · 03/06/2018 13:22

Hi frustratedashell! I’d like to lose two stone. I just find it so hard. Not knowing where to start is a huge problem for me, and I also have quite a stressful job (like many!) and I find myself eating bars of chocolate to get me brough to the end of the day which is really terrible!

doodlejump1980 · 03/06/2018 13:28

Just checking in. Am doing ww. Was 12.9 on Friday morning, was 12.4&3/4 this morning! Whoop. Just as long as I keep it up this week! Maybe won’t take my wallet to work!

Can I join please, I have around 4st to lose, been on WW and had no results at all. Got an appointment tomorrow to get thyroid checked.
My plan is to do Monday/Tuesdays juicing
Wednesday > Friday & Sunday eating healthy whole foods nothing processed or artificial. Saturday cheat day.

I want to start the C25K but can never seem to find time, think the kids will need to do it with me.
