Morning all ... Parkrun done - need to stay minimal in calories today as I know it's pizza night tonight.
I usually celebrate a parkrun with a fizzy drink but just tucking into a pint of orange squash (no added sugar - obvs)

takethestairs · 02/06/2018 11:05

Good morning all. Brisk dog walk done. Nothing to eat yet today (just Tassimo skinny latte & lots of water), but planning prawn & cottage cheese salad wholemeal roll for lunch & steak with garlic tomatoes & salad for dinner.

Morning everyone

Just completed 20 minutes on an old underused exercise bike I’m just so unfit but it got my heat rate up and now I’m a hot sweaty mess! Weights next

Just had an espresso before exercise scrambled eggs after.

@pigpotlet yes it’s no fun when you a five footer just a few pounds overweight and you look and feel like an average sized person who is twice as overweight - wish I was 6 ft then I would underweight Smile

Skooblies1 · 02/06/2018 11:23

Ok I have just weighed myself. 12St 11lb. And I’m 5’4”.

Two weeks ago at work the lovely security woman asked me when my baby is due. No baby love, Just pies. Felt so sorry for her she was so embarrassed. And then I felt very embarrassed myself...

KatharineHilbery · 02/06/2018 12:07

Morning all. Breakfasted on smoked salmon and mozzarella then did a yoga class. Feeling on a roll!

greedypiglet · 02/06/2018 12:41

I went for coffee and didn't have cake. I even asked for skimmed milk. I'm on a roll.

Fantastic Greedy. We’re out for Sunday lunch tomorrow and I’m going to have a chicken roast and probably not much else in the morning or after. That way, I can still enjoy family events without ruining the chance of hitting my health goals fingers crossed.

KatharineHilbery · 02/06/2018 13:16

Great work Piglet! Just had lunch - sushi and one cocktail sausage.

stevie69 · 02/06/2018 13:25

I went for coffee and didn't have cake. I even asked for skimmed milk. I'm on a roll.

And that is the way to do it. Well done @greedypiglet Small changes; big differences. Trust me, I've done it Blush

Wishing all of you every success Smile

greedypiglet · 02/06/2018 13:29

Thanks stevie that's encouraging. How much weight have you lost if you don't mind sharing?

Welcome all newcomers! Had a good day foodwise yesterday, though DC took ages to go to sleep in the evening so didn't manage to get on the exercise bike before dinner. Definitely will tonight though as we eat with the kids at the weekend.

Doing ok so far today - cereal for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch and only a few pecan nuts as a little snack. It's nibbling between meals I think I really need to try to stop. Tuna pasta bake for tea, but that's the only pasta dish for the week. Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

stevie69 · 02/06/2018 17:05

I lost just over six stones, going from 15st (size 20) to 8 st 12lb (size 8). I've attached the 'before' and 'after' pics for anyone who might want to see. It took me around seven years altogether — I did it in phases — and finally hit my target on my 50th birthday. The upside of it taking that long is that I don't have any loose skin.

I hope you don't mind me being on this thread. I'm still on the journey so to speak; I have to keep on top of things to make sure I don't go back whence I came Blush

Best wishes, everyone Smile

Kaykay06 · 02/06/2018 17:11

Me too please and I’ll try and come on memory like a sieve
Had a really shit time since Feb - homeless on ad etc now settled but am eating myself to death am getting bigger and bigger and I can’t stop. But I really need to and I need some accountability I guess. Also have congenital hypothyroidism so a bugger to shift weight anyway so stopping eating crap and being sensible is a must and I’m miserable and fat and fed up.
Need to lose 3 stone to have a healthy bmi
Worried, nothing fits etc glad I’m not the only person in this boat

cmcc22 · 02/06/2018 17:27

@stevie69 inspirational!!! Well done you.

I would love to have before and after photos - maybe this time!!!

ltk · 02/06/2018 17:29

Amazing Stevie! Huge congratulations. How have you found maintaining your new weight?

stevie69 · 02/06/2018 17:34

I've been fine with maintenance. I still go to Weight Watchers every week to be honest Blush I'm easily tempted and going to the group helps me, as does chatting on here Smile

WhakaMole · 02/06/2018 18:05

@stevie69 you're an inspiration!

I've been relatively good since starting. Yesterday I went to a gym class and am sore today (!) and have eaten well overall. I haven't been super low carb but trying to keep to salads and low carb as much as possible.

Narkle · 02/06/2018 18:13

Wow, Stevie! That is really an achievement, well done!

I know the journey just too well, have lost 4st before, but since having my last I've put 3 of them back on.

Dry June is going okay so far, have not had or 'needed' a drink yet, but that may well change when I'm back at work, where keeping dry will be more of a challenge and I cannot keep substituting alcohol for caffeine.

DH has decided to do a BBQ tonight... I've made a big salad to fill up on so as to eat less meat.

My middle one has called me fat today. It just slipped out without much thinking, as it does in kids and she was mortified afterwards, but still. If I needed a kick up the arse to change, it was that.

Sierra259 · 02/06/2018 18:16

Wow! Well done stevie!

frustratedashell · 02/06/2018 18:25

Brilliant Stevie! I've had a good day today and yesterday. I've hidden my chocolate and am not buying any crap! Need to start exercising too

greedypiglet · 02/06/2018 18:34

Bloody hell Stevie that really is amazing. This gives me hope. Grin

pigpoglet · 02/06/2018 19:03

@stevie69 you look so toned , did you exercise ? I've got loose skin now from both pregnancies and I'm worried what I'll look like if I lose 2 stone 😬😬

pigpoglet · 02/06/2018 19:04

I will add I do hardcore cardio 3 x a week and the gym other days but it's still there . I'm unlucky I guess 🙄

whatdoyousayhey · 02/06/2018 19:08

Amazing @stevie69 ... you look incredible!!
