I need to lose three stone... My cunning plan to lose the two stone over the winter was scuppered by me putting on another one.
So does anyone fancy a healthy eating thread? Sensible and no sugar and crap?
Or does anyone have time to follow me around prising the rubbish I'm about to consume out of my mouth?
The plan is to eat really well then at the weekend have one reasonable treat. I'm going to eat carbs but small amounts early in the day and only wholegrain or brown rice.
I'm just going to start with a stone and then see how it goes.

Well, weigh in was as expected Hmm I’ve gone up, but only by a lb so it could be worse. Still annoying though!

londonloves · 08/05/2018 18:23

Crap here too, weigh in this morning very depressing after weekend of wedding tasing and wine. Not quite back to square one but nearly. Had another crap day today too. Aiming for v low cal and no eating of the exercise calories for the rest of the week.

cheshiremama89 · 08/05/2018 21:16

Well after a long weekend of excess I'm back in the bandwagon!

Feeling more inspired but massively craving sugar, best things atm are fibre One bars and Mikado

LilaoftheGreenwood · 08/05/2018 21:49

Yep also a pound, I'm surprised it's not more, I feel very bloaty. Entire nation must be heavier after bank holiday weekends!

I don't find it that hard in the week. Need to find a way of getting the same rhythm into the weekend!

winterisstillcoming · 08/05/2018 22:02

Well done everyone for sieving the weekend. Hoping this little project of ours didn't spoil our fun too much

I have emerged from it with a nil loss or gain which I'm happy to take considering what I ate. I did have to be careful though.

I'm at a total 4lb loss now which is probably what I deserve. However it has come off my boobs and under my eyes and the belly is not budging.
Feeling determined this week.

winterisstillcoming · 08/05/2018 22:03

londonloves · 09/05/2018 05:53

PMT makes me crave everything. Went 500 cals over yesterday 😭 Desperate measures now. Less than three weeks til holiday...

OhGood · 09/05/2018 11:02

@PixieN yes sadly that was weigh-in. Sigh.

Feeling a bit defeated.

cheshiremama89 · 09/05/2018 16:46

So so poorly and eating everything in sight!
Anyone else get super hungry when ill? X

PixieN · 09/05/2018 19:26

I always seem to be hungry! Grin

I’ve somehow managed to lose 1lb & a half since weigh in yesterday - not sure how that happened!

I’ve started taking a probiotic everyday & avoiding bread. It just makes me bloat & my tum is big enough already.

PixieN · 09/05/2018 19:27

@cheshiremama89 hope you feel better soon x

winterisstillcoming · 09/05/2018 20:27

Hope you feel better soon Cheshire mama.

London, I've got 3 weeks to my hols too. Had a special occasion this weekend and had to pull out all the stops. Spanx, water tablets, peppermint tea to flatten my belly. It worked tho!

I'm 300 Cals under today but was over yesterday so may just call it a day soon and have an early night.

I'm trying to reverse my bad habits and replace food with sleep.

cheshiremama89 · 09/05/2018 20:55

Thanks both, I've just eaten whatever today to try and get through.

My 3 month old DS and I seem to have the virus from hell!

Will be back on the bandwagon once recovered!

Hiphopopotamus · 11/05/2018 13:00

I’m another 3lbs down from my last weigh in a week and a half ago. I’ve also managed to buy a wedding dress which is amazing! Not had a great couple of days though - I’ve just been wanting to eat everything in sight!

londonloves · 11/05/2018 16:44

Ive shed the weekend's bloat/water weight so back to where I was before. Not going To get to pre baby's weight in time for holiday I don't think, as that would be 10lb in two weeks...
well done HipHop on the wedding dress! It's such a relief isn't it xxx

PixieN · 11/05/2018 18:05

Well done @Hiphop. I’m having a Chinese tonight - it’s been a very long week! Going for black bean sauce which is supposed to be less calorific & vegetable rice. Planning on having half & saving the other half for another meal. I’m also out with a friend for lunch tomorrow so will need to make better choices to avoid a repeat of last weekend.

Have a good one ladies Smile

LilaoftheGreenwood · 11/05/2018 19:56

Evening ladies. As part of my general life laundry I just went through my wardrobe (Friday night partaaay), and out of the probably 150 bits of tat I own, do you know how many I could honestly say (a) I love wearing and (b) fitted me?

27!! And not a capsule wardrobe for spring/summer kind of 27, it includes e.g. woolly jumpers.

So no wonder I feel like I've never got anything to wear. I can't afford to bin the lot but I have put most of it in carrier bags. Anything I keep getting out to wear again I'll try and find a version I like that fits me.

Two wedding dress purchases on this thread! I feel like this is all vg progress.

PixieN · 11/05/2018 21:58

Yuk! We’re actually doing pretty well ladies Grin

I can't believe it's going to be warm and i forgot to lose 3 stone over the winter.
millimat · 12/05/2018 07:53

Can anyone remember from earlier in these threads what the Sausages represent?

Middleoftheroad · 12/05/2018 07:57

Hi guys. Not posted for a while as have not been sticking to the 1200 every day since the Bank Hol.

Too scared to weigh myself. Im not doing terribly but not doing great either. Some days it ventures to 1500 and too high.

Probably still about half stone lighter thsn 5 weeks ago but I need some motivation - help!!! Sad

LilaoftheGreenwood · 12/05/2018 19:23

Middle, "not doing terribly" sounds like a win to me, I suspect to do this sustainably and not go insane there will always be some weeks when you're treading water, depends on all sorts of things, weather, how busy you are, where you are in your cycle. The point is (if you are anything like me) ALL my weeks used to be mindless eating weeks and now some are not, and that's a win.

Also the bank holiday threw just about everyone here off balance. Fortunately weather has now gone to piss again!

LilaoftheGreenwood · 12/05/2018 19:25

Pixie Envy (vomit face) ugh yep that is quite motivating!

Middleoftheroad · 13/05/2018 07:43

Thanks Lila - you're right. My recent odd 'bad day' is nothing like the five years of overeating I've been doing everyday.

As I started on a Sunday, today is a fresh week and I'm motivated.

I'm remembering why I did this and some of it is not to panic when asked by friends or families to go out somewhere and realising I have nothing that fits or that I can't because drinks and meal = hangover/ next day munchies = weight gain.

I have the chance to go away at half term on an all inclusive to Spain - just me, with some family members. I have a fear of flying but was considering going. I wont; because a) I am too self conscious as I'm too big, but mainly b) I'm not undoing weeks of trying and losing half a stone. I'll be back to square one.

It's sad this is spoiling my ability to do nice nights out/holidays and that I'll miss this fun break and no doubt regret it. If I was my ideal weight or had been at this diet for longer, I'd go. Having been at goal previously I find it easier to go on the odd splurge, but when you have much to lose the odd set back or interruption can soon see you back to square one.

So here's to a new day!!

PixieN · 13/05/2018 09:00

@LilaoftheGreenwood I’ve lost 2 lots of those - just another 3 to go! Hmm

@millimat - I can’t remember. Wasn’t it 8 sausages to a lb?

@Middleoftheroad Please don’t let this ruin your holiday with your family. I had an all inclusive holiday with my DH a few years ago when I was larger than I am now & managed not to gain too much weight. It’s just about being more mindful when you’re there & having a plan of action to make you feel in control before you go. It helped that my DH does things in moderation so we had a largeish breakfast & an evening meal - we didn’t tend to eat in the day as we found we didn’t need to & we were off exploring. We also didn’t drink any alcoholic cocktails in the day for example & had them in the evening instead. I took clothes that I felt good in including a swimsuit with tummy control - I would love to wear a bikini again, but can’t imagine that happening anytime soon Grin

I also have a fear of flying & have to use distraction techniques - usually reading a book/magazine to take my mind off it. I sometimes have a drink just before I fly to calm my nerves too!

PixieN · 13/05/2018 09:11

I had a bad day (dietwise as it was actually a lovely day!) yesterday. I had a lovely lunch (more of a brunch - no breakfast) with my friend, then ate my Chinese leftovers for tea, got peckish later & succumbed to a KFC which was a mini (well I tried) fillet burger & small fries. Then had a couple of glasses of low calorie wine & a small choc bar 🙈 Amazingly, it’s not had much of an impact on my weight this morning! I have had worse days though & my portion sizes are so much better now.

As you say, it’s a new day today. I am planning a run & healthy breakfast of poached eggs & spinach when I get back Smile
