So, winter has us in its icy grasp as March begins but by the end of the month we will be lighter, warmer and, erm, slenderer!

Here’s a link to January’s thread

Good luck with the packing- surely a calorie burner!!

lastqueenofscotland · 09/03/2018 08:40

Had an interesting chat with my running coach and I think when I am weighing all the time I don't eat that well cause I eat stuff hat is "lighter" in actual weight than actually good for you so I'm working on measuring and not weighing now.
Had SUCH a good day yesterday so I'll just have to try to keep it up

slightlysoreboobs · 09/03/2018 08:41

Not totally understand - I’ll have an investigate thanks

Totally agree with pp’s - very fast moving thread and difficult to keep up but lovely that everyone is so kind and also very exciting re date news/outfit choices!! Hope you have loads of fun!

I’m 8 st 12.6 this am. Very much hoping for a whoosh off soon because this is tough. Going to take tips to walk more and drink loads of water.

BitOutOfPractice · 09/03/2018 08:43

Hello Maj! Nice to meet you. Yes we are lovely

Busy weekend you ask?

Today: meeting in Kent at 10:30 back to Essex for another meeting at 2pm then up to London for 5:30 to meet some friends

Saturday: 8am gym, then over to BF's to help with the move (he's moving in for a couple of months this weekend but needs to be out of his place on Monday), then out for tea and cake with the DDs for

Mother's Day as DD1 is working on Sunday, then in the evening I have 16 teenagers round for pizza and it's DD2's birthday on Sunday (need to shop for the party)

Sunday: 8:30 am gym class, DD2's birthday, (must wrap presesnts), she wants to take me to the pictures and lunch, then Sunday night, book club (must read the damn book!)

I feel tired just thinking about that. Must fit in some work and housework

Guys!

GUYSGUYSGUYS!

I've lost another 700g! That's 2 weeks on the trot! I have hardly ever seen two 500+ losses on the trot even when I was much heavier!

Shock

One more week of it and I'm back at goal! Hurrah, it's a Slenderista Miracle!

Just needed to get that off my chest, now I'm off to read back Grin

QuimReaper · 09/03/2018 10:28

Majesty we did warn you it was the Best Thread on Mumsnet™ Grin Don't worry about keeping up, there's a lot going on. As Kiki said, someone typed "lb" donkeys years ago and it autocorrected to "Linda" and it stuck. I always like to think of her as that busybody neighbour who fabricates an innocent enquiry in order to doorstep you, then hangs around chatting and WILL. NOT. LEAVE. until you get quite firm with her.

Also like Not I think 16 Lindas this year is amazing going - I've lost about 20-25 ever and I started about 3 years ago!

Not2b well done on the loss, that's super! So close to the 10s!

BOOP fecking hell, I'm in awe of you. If I had that much on, there's no way you'd catch me doing 8am gym sessions. I love the way you slipped in the book club at the end there, I have a feeling you're going to be winging it a little bit Grin (I have years of experience of this in lectures and seminars, let me know if you need tips...)

Not2bObvious · 09/03/2018 16:56

That’s a brilliant loss quim, it is indeed a wonderful & joyous Friday (nodding sagely with great wisdom and slightly smaller double chin)
Ok, I know I have a special dispensation to go out tonight and pretend to be living a normal life 😉 but should I really have had breakfast out followed by a cream cake....and then hot buttery toast for an afternoon snack, to line my stomach you understand. Typical, positive scale makes me into a positive piggy!

lastqueenofscotland · 09/03/2018 23:25

Managed a golden Friday Shock
Stranger things really haven't happened

MajestyRoyal · 10/03/2018 01:54

Thinking about it I do know a few Linda's. Completely understand why you'd want ridGrin

Congrats to PP's who have lost Linda's. And thank you for pointing out that 16 Linda's is still very good. Just 27 more busy bodies to go. I shall have to be very firm with them then!

Had a sandwhich for dinner and pasta for tea so I'm probably going to be quite bloated. I'm planning on buying a big fancy water bottle that I can fill 3-4 times a day to make sure I'm drinking lots. I'm the meantime I'll stick to my plain boring glasses Sad

Lots of walking today followed by painting so that hopefully burnt up some calories from my carb load Wink

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 10/03/2018 06:45

Well done on the loss Quim! And majesty too, 16lbs is brilliant!

I weighed in yesterday a lb down, so that's 6 down since January, and 7lbs until my goal. I'm at the top end of my "acceptable" weight now, so I'm pleased!

Should have a pretty good day food-wise too, I'm at work so there probably won't be time for snacking. Every cloud Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 10/03/2018 08:45

Oh quimster I'm as chuffed as chips for you.

Had an extremely stressful day yesterday (house sale from hell) and ate like a petulant teen with pmt to compensate Blush

TheDonald · 10/03/2018 09:17

Congrats on all the losses. I'm not too bad this morning. 10 9 down one from last week. Up one from the start of the month but heading in the right direction.

Not got much planned this weekend but I'll try to include some exercise and a bit of batch cooking.

Feezles · 10/03/2018 09:34

Amazing, Quim! Good work!

I was down over a pound today - which means (drum roll please!) I was 12st 9.5!!! First sight of 12st 9! Clearly I should go out for a dirty burger more oftenGrin

My average for the week still looks like it's going to be flat(ish), though I've got a tricky day to negotiate - nice dinner with the inlaws, and my (well deserved) weekly glass or two of wine. Cheers, everyone!

Not2bObvious · 10/03/2018 09:51

Well as predicted my low was obliterated by my day of gluttony, up quite a jump today - but I know it’s temporary. I am rather delicate after my night out, rather too much gargle. On the upside it’ll mean very little or possibly no wine tonight. I need to get out for a good walk today, blow the cobwebs off.
That’s so good feezles that you’re into the 12.9’s!!! Exciting times😬

QuimReaper · 10/03/2018 11:22

Ooooh, well done on the losses all, and on the golden Friday lasty! Unheard of here. March is clearly our month!

Not2b I am feeling a wee bit delicate too. I had wine and pizza yesterday and I'm off out to meet friends soon for... wine and pizza Grin

Not2bObvious · 10/03/2018 13:02

Ooooh I would love wine & pizza to cure me, enjoy quim
I’ve cooked 2 curries, Thai & Indian, went for a quick jog, did the shopping, did a brisk walk, had my brunch - I’m trying to out smart my hangover. How successful I’ve been is debatable but at least I’ve burned a few cals & got jobs done. Play date for my littler lady, meeting my teen for a potter around the shops. Busy day round mine! Roll on bedtime😉

Kikisdeliveries · 10/03/2018 14:49

Cor, well done Quim and Feezles!

Kikisdeliveries · 10/03/2018 14:50

Majesty I didn't register how much you'd lost! All those Lindas! Glad you're here to inspire us!

leesmum · 10/03/2018 19:41

Well done ladies on all the lost lbs... never to be seen again Wink I lost 2.5 lbs but it was mainly down to a humongous amount of steps and no bread at all, just need to not blow it too much this weekend.
Enjoy yourselves tomorrow with all your lovely, Mums, Grandmas, Sisters, Aunties and children 💗💗💗

BitOutOfPractice · 10/03/2018 19:50

Look what my DDs bought me today. We went out for Mother's Day today as DD1 has to work tomorrow. They even paid!

Oh my boop, I have cake envy😍 What a lovely treat. I did so much today despite my vague hangover, but now I’m collapsing

BitOutOfPractice · 10/03/2018 20:02

I have 15 teenagers on my lounge. DD2's birthday tomorrow

OP posts:
MajestyRoyal · 10/03/2018 21:01

Happy birthday to your DD but I kinda hate you for making me want cake @BitOutOfPractice Sad

I had two crackers with spread cheese for dinner and two coffees this morning. Spag bol for tea with a slice of garlic bread (small portion). Been a busy day and I've had no time to snack which is amazingGrin

BitOutOfPractice · 10/03/2018 21:11

sorry (not sorry!) Maj Wink
