So, winter has us in its icy grasp as March begins but by the end of the month we will be lighter, warmer and, erm, slenderer!

Well done leesmum. Great result. I'm not sure I could bear to give up bread though.

Boop the cake looks amazing. How are the teenagers?

Good day for me today. A very tough Pilates class (with foam rollers) followed by a long walk. Hopefully it will cancel out the large cake I put away earlier CakeBlush

Thisimmortalcurl · 11/03/2018 00:09

Oh , not having a good few days , can’t stop eating and drinking !
After pushing out 3 of the blighters I think tomorrow will be much the same .
Clean slate Monday , I want to feel amazing in Budapest on the 23 rd . Need to get my head in the game.

Feezles · 11/03/2018 07:33

1.3 up today. To be expected after an indulgent meal and a few glasses of wine last night. That leaves me with a teeny tiny gain of 0.1lb on my average for the week. Heigh-ho - onwards and downwards.

I was bang on a 3500 calorie deficit over the week last week, so hoping that shows up on the scales once I shift today's alcohol related fluid retention. And I saw 12st 9-something, if only for a day, so not a complete washout.

Not2bObvious · 11/03/2018 07:45

Here’s your sister feezles, I’m up as well so my average is up .2 on last week. However like you I saw a new low this week and if you look at the trend, the low seems to become the average after a couple of weeks. I think we should be seeing a pattern and it’s edging down. Patience, perseverance and consistency all the way, the results will follow.

TheDonald · 11/03/2018 22:13

How's everyone's weekend been? I've had a lovely day today. A mega long run to the tops of the hills in the sunshine. First proper moorland run this spring I think.

I've realised now why I can't lose weight when I'm running properly though. I am just so starving I feel light headed and sick if I don't eat after a long run.

Today mfp told me I'd earned an additional 1097 cals on top of my usual 1200. And I ate ALL of them. And then I ate another couple of hundred for good measure! I'm I'm bed now to stop myself eating more Blush

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2018 06:29

Do you eat before you run TheDonald, I wonder would that help stave off that ravenous hunger? Bowl of porridge an hour before maybe? I did a run & a decent walk yesterday and ate loads after, not starving just greedy😬
Starting the week high but lower than last Monday, back to the normal weekly menu. I possibly have a poorly child this morning so that will decide the way my exercise will go, likely I’ll do a gym class tonight. Missed my bootcamp but I don’t feel able for it yet. It’s too tough! I’m wondering are we going to have a stream of confessions....you were all very quiet this weekend, my senses tell me mischief may have happened😉

Feezles · 12/03/2018 06:56

I don't have any advice, TheDonald - long runs always leave me starving tooSmile

Hope MiniNot is okay!

I'm starting the week strong - huge lunch yesterday but tiny dinner and well within my calories overall means I had a cracking weigh in this morning: 12st 9.2, which is a new low! Dare I hope to see 12st 8 this week? If not, I'm hoping I've set my self up for a much better week this week.

lastqueenofscotland · 12/03/2018 07:41

Well done on the new low freezles

Actually a good weekend for me lots of exercise I ate good food, didn't snack. Very happy with how it went.

Got up this morning and did 20 mins of abs and arms and will run this evening

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2018 07:43

That is brilliant feezles! So you’ve started your week at an average of 12.9.2 then, goes to show how the few drinks can cause flux eh? I would say if you keep going like this 12.8 is only around the corner. I want my 11.1.2 back (sniffles & stamps foot but in such a way that her Fitbit registers it as step😉)
Little lady is indeed poorly, running a temp & very sleepy. No point sending her to school to infect others and then be called to escort her from the premises! Just one of those kids who gets sickly bug from time to time. Thankfully my job is flexible, the days of having to explain myself with sick kids were hard on the nerves

BornInALighthouse · 12/03/2018 07:52

I'll join in. I have been up and down through this 4lbs for the last few months. I stick to mfp for a couple of weeks then I lose the will and start snacking again. Got about a stone to lose. Will weigh tomorrow as I like to do it first thing.

Feezles · 12/03/2018 08:54

Welcome Born! You'll find lots of friendly support hereSmile

I must admit to spending a few minutes admiring this week's 'average' this morning, NotBlush. It's looking very goodSmile. Hope DD feels better soon, it is horrible when they are poorly.

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2018 08:59

I spent a few minutes despairing of my new average feezles, but then it struck me, it’s been a long time since I started a week in the 11.4’ish range. That’s firmly under 11.7 and I have this thing about either side of a weight bracket. All in all changing to averages has been a positive thing, and I know if I stick to 1700 a day, every day, I’ll see a decent loss. My poor baby is still asleep (some baby she’s 9!) but I’m loathe to wake her. I should get a dose of calpol in, pondering best course of action

HairsprayBabe · 12/03/2018 08:59

In my new houseshare, kitchen is a bit grotty, bathrooms seem ok and my room is nice.

Met one housemate she seems nice bit quiet and shy.

Scales read 9.4 but I don't belive them, I think the floor here is either really forgiving or the batteries on the scales need replacing as I have eaten so much this weekend, Friday night I had quorn chicken nuggets and salad, and a large slice of birthday cake. Saturday I was clearing out the fridge so had a whole punnet of strawberries, garlic bread, quorn scotch eggs, mozzerella sticks, crisps, quiche....
Then yesterday I went out for a 3 course meal for mothers day!
So 9.4 seems 100% wrong!

HairsprayBabe · 12/03/2018 09:14

Oh date went amazingly well, he was so easy to talk to... It was like no time had passed since we last saw each other

Seeing him next Friday 😍

Feezles · 12/03/2018 09:24

Woo hoo, Hair! So pleased it went well. Does this mean we get to help you pick another dressSmile? And maybe it isn't your new floor that is too forgiving, maybe your old one was too mean? 9st 4 is fantastic!

I would let her sleep, Not. Calpol will ease her symptoms, but rest will actually heal her. You can always dose her up when she wakes up.

lastqueenofscotland · 12/03/2018 09:51

Hair have you moved to a new area?

HairsprayBabe · 12/03/2018 09:51

Hmmm I don't trust it

I am going for jeans and an nice top this time, we are going for dinner and then to an "alternative" bar, so I want like cool biker chick effortless I just threw this on...

HairsprayBabe · 12/03/2018 10:40

Lasty moved to Nottingham, it has been on the cards since about December but kept getting delayed!

QuimReaper · 12/03/2018 12:02

Woohoo for a new low Feezles, that's an amazing feeling!

Welcome Born, pull up a chair! There are lots of MFPers here, you'll fit right in Smile What's your daily calories goal?

Hope MiniNot is feeling better. I'm with Feez, sleep is the best medicine.

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2018 13:00

Good advice guys. She slept another bit, very low grade fever level temp so I’ve held off the drugs for the moment. She’s brightened up over the morning and the temps just about back to normal. School tomorrow fingers x’ed!
I’d say 9.4 is spot on hair, maybe it was 9.2/3 but the weekend pushed it up a bit. Remember you were stuck in 9.6 for a bit and you’d been sticking to fast days & 1200 days. The loss had to come eventually. Delighted you enjoyed your night out, loving the sound of the edgy look for Friday.
last you’re proper killing it these days, in the zone boss style over the weekend? Wow

Yesterday was really really naughty and have a huge gigantic mahoosive roast dinner with every single trimming Blush and then an Easter eggs too BlushBlush I ended Sunday feeling very bloated and very tired.

Today I have had 2 coffees and an apple. I'm doing cheesy pasta for tea but I will just have a small bowl.

The amount that I ate yesterday could see me through until Wednesday Grin

Poorly child over here too, Sad anyone know the best thing to give a toddler for a cold?

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2018 19:49

That was one lonnnng day, child much improved, got a good amount of work done, made it to the gym as well - hope I won’t be too sore tomorrow.
I am aghast as Easter egg eating before Easter! I remember as a child you’d be murdered if you touched your Easter egg...although I did manage to sneak the sweets out of the middleBlush Never mind Maj, it’s just one day. Don’t be too strict on yourself, that’s what leads to eat everything days. Your poor little toddler, so little you can do for colds, fluids/vapour stuff/calpol for temp and you can alternate with nurofen as well for pains I think? Cuddles of course! Hope the poor littley feels better soon. And eat something, you can’t look after a poorly child on coffee & apples & small portion of pasta.

Feezles · 13/03/2018 07:46

Morning, all! How is MiniNot today?

Back up by 1lb today, which I kinda expected as I ate more 'normally' yesterday than I did on Sunday. I'm still 1lb down on last Monday and my average looks pretty good so I'm reasonably happy. The progress graph in MFP looks hilarious though - my weight s all over the place! My fat % was also way down today, which suggests some bloat, even though I was a good girl with fluid yesterday, so I guess I need to do the same thing today and see what tomorrow brings.

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2018 08:28

She’s much improved thanks feezles, back to school today & back to normality for me. I’m down 1.2 from yesterday’s weight, I’ve attached my graph so you can see you’re not on your own on the up/down! Are you keeping your water intake up?
I’m on the ball this morning. Did a good jog for around 40 minutes, then walked for another 20 so nearly all my steps done. Packed my breakfast & lunch for the office, will get another walk to the post box in a bit, why walk on my own time😉
