Hi all. I've just caught up on the thread since yesterday. I got left behind and haven't had time to catch up!

Quim and leesmum thanks for the add on the fitbit challenge. I'm loving it! Not sure why it matters so much that I take more steps than some other people I've never met but whatever works! I'm imagining @leesmum is either a postie, a professional Irish dancer or an Olympic athlete!

@Hoolahoophop how are things? Flowers and happy birthday for yesterday to your girl.

Not sure what is going on with me lately. I tried easing off on the cals. Still counting on mfp but allowing the odd snack here and there. I'm now back up to 10 10 Angry

So I'm back on it properly now. Reverse dieting can wait until I'm actually at 10 3. Just need to kick the sugar habit again. Blush

TheDonald · 08/03/2018 20:19

Oh and @hairspraybabe i like the sabra best too. Grin

QuimReaper · 08/03/2018 20:40

Donald it's fab to have new blood in the challenge! Leesmum is a complete mystery to us, her step count has been getting better and better, I have no idea how she does it! Even when I go on a total blitz I don't get anywhere near her - I'm having one of my best weeks in history and she's 40K ahead of me Shock I know what you mean about getting competitive, when you're tussling back and forth in the same few thousand it becomes curiously important to get ahead Grin

DH is playing tennis until 9 tonight so I just had the world's most epic treat meal - scrambled eggs and salmon (natch) with mushrooms, spinach, Parmesan and spring onions, with hideous amounts of garlic butter. It was SO good!

QuimReaper · 08/03/2018 20:40

I'm also on board with Sabra by the way - the colour is to die for!

BitOutOfPractice · 08/03/2018 20:44

I ordered the cute playsuit Blush

Has anyone heard about this film, I Feel Pretty/

It's about a woman who is a little larger and hates her body. She has a head injury and when she comes round she believes (and sees in the mirror) that she is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and starts acting like she is.

Kikisdeliveries · 08/03/2018 20:46

I like the sabre too :)

Today has not been low carb. Just came back from a 90 minute kickboxing class and inhaled 2 hot cross buns.

And they were glorious.

Tomorrow is one of my small eating days so it'll all balance out.

It's all about balance!

Ofthread · 08/03/2018 20:50

Perhaps Leesmum has the Fitbit on the dog? Grin

TheDonald · 08/03/2018 20:57
Grin

It reminds me of this!

leesmum · 08/03/2018 21:43

@quimreaper and @TheDonald I've stopped now and I'm in bed..... knackered, and no I don't have a dog 😁 I'm just on my feet all day, walk to school and back, walk to work (2 miles each way) been busy at home and then just got back in from a 5 mile run Wink I'll be honest though I've really gone for it this week, been eating well and been out for a run 3 times....and not one bit of bread!! And I love my toast.
I needed to move myself because I've pretty much stayed the same weight since Christmas and it's now starting to piss me off.
Anyway hi there to everyone and hope you're all keeping at it Smile

QuimReaper · 08/03/2018 21:47

Don't worry lees we know it's all you Grin I just can't believe anyone as active as you can have weight trouble! I did think you were going totally stratospheric this week - bloody well done on the bread, that's a really hard nut to crack. I stopped eating it during the week a while ago and it hardly ever occurs to me any more (except as a wistful "mmm, think I'll have crumpets this weekend..." sort of thought) so it can be kicked.

leesmum · 08/03/2018 22:27

Quimmy I don't really have an issue with my weight but could do with toning up, I used to smoke years ago and since then I'm always trying to eat/sleep/ exercise better.....think I'm on a constant penance 🙏
And I work in a bakery would you believe it? Honestly all the hot x buns are driving me mad Shock

TheDonald · 08/03/2018 22:27

Yes I could do with quitting the bread too. Maybe when I've finished the crusty cheese loaf I've got at work!

Leesmum I am in awe! I struggle during the week because I spent 8 hours a day staring at a computer screen. On Tuesday I only had 2 daytime hours where I clocked up 250 stepsSad l rely on my evening runs to male up for it.

TheDonald · 08/03/2018 22:28

Crossword. I really fancy a hot cross bun now. Especially one fresh from a bakery!

TheDonald · 08/03/2018 22:29

*cross post. Not crossword Blush

leesmum · 08/03/2018 22:34

Donald it must be difficult to get your steps in when you are sat down at work, I only do 3 days a week now so I can walk to work and back, I know how lucky I am to be able to fit the steps in Grin I have had All Bran every morning this week and I'm actually enjoying it.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/03/2018 23:15

I am also desk bound so unless I make a conscious effort to do something, I'd never get my 10,000 goal. The Fitbit has definitely made me think of that.

I'm missing what seems to be a major part of this thread. Please excuse my pure stupidity, but what is a Linda?Blush Or more importantly, what did she do for you to all want rid of her so badly?

I have seen the comment about jiggly fat and a water whoosh. I want that to happen to me. GrinWould not mind peeing every half hour if it meant I could loose a few pounds every day Wink

It is so easy to fall behind with this thread! I have missed weight loss, non-moving pounds, newbies and a date night. And just to add, you lot are so lovely Smile I don't think I've ever read a thread where everyone chips in so nicely with amazing advice and support and it doesn't turn into horrid comments or a competition over something. And sorry to anyone who has to catch up on this thread and has to now read my essay!!

Anyway, today I managed to snack a lot less than usual. I did have a cracker with spread cheese, an apple and about 179272802937929474 pieces of chewing gum to try and stop myself from inhaling the fridge contents.

I had steak and new potatoes for tea. Scrambled eggs and a slice of toast for dinner. Coffee for breakfast. I'm making Monday my weigh in day every week. I have managed to loose 16 pounds since last December but it could have been so much more if I focused properly. Still got 27 to go. I am going break my weight loss into smaller parts and introduce prises. (e.g when I get to X amount I can have my nails done and so on)

Good luck with the weight loss everyone Halo

Kikisdeliveries · 09/03/2018 07:05

Hello Majesty! It sounds like you're doing great! Don't feel bad about slow weight loss as it's (a) more likely to be permanent (b) a loss is a loss!

Linda = someone's typo/autocorrect for a pound way back and it's stuck! (See also seasonal mentions of s Christmas bugger - typo for buffet)

The thread is moving fast at the moment so it is hard to keep up but nobody minds!

Not2bObvious · 09/03/2018 07:28

Happy Friday slenderista sista’s! I’m floating this morning despite being like a dishrag after my sports massage yesterday. I don’t know whether it helped squash down my fat cells but I might be lightest I’ve been in years! I know it’s only going to be for 5 minutes and it’ll be up tomorrow by 3lb as I’m out tonight but I’m 11.1.2!!!!!!!!! You might have guessed I’m delighted😬
Maj if you think 16 pound since Christmas is slow, it’s taken me since the dawn of time to lose that. I think that’s brilliant. I find gum makes me hungry, I wish it distracted me.
I got lost in all the lovely clothes, oh to be young slim and pursued😉 Between the clothes & the super flicky fringe, you’ll be fab hair, hope it goes well.
Anyone doing anything nice this weekend? I’m out tonight for an Indian & 🍷 It’s terribly but I feel so possessive of my loss I nearly want to cancel and just drink water all day! This way to crazy town

Feezles · 09/03/2018 07:38

Woo hoo, Not! That's awesome! But DO NOT cancel your curry - I seem to remember someone recently telling me how important it is to be able to enjoy normal lifeSmile. My top top fir a not-too-bad curry is tandoori prawns and a couple of chapatis.

I'm also out tonight as the ILs are here to babysit - five guys burger (DH's choice) then finally seeing Black Panther. My burger will be 800 cals (all the info is on the website) and I can work that into my normal calories okay, but I can't have more than a couple of chips, and certainly no popcorn. Let's see how well my resolve holds.

Frankly it needs to hold pretty well, as I was slightly up again this morning. At this stage, the best I can hope for is flat this week. Very frustrating. I can only assume my body is clinging to the fat for dear life and I'll get a really good week soon when it finally gives up.

TheDonald · 09/03/2018 08:06

Well done not

And enjoy your evening feezles

I loved Black Panther. Dd is a massive Marvel nerd and makes us sit there for nearly 10 minutes waiting for the very end of the credits while she tuts at all the non-nerds who leave too early!

We might got to see Call me by your name tomorrow. If I can persuade her a I'll without Captain America is worthy of her time!

Anyway I got 10 9 today. I've reversed the rise. Halo I'll be happy with that for my Saturday weigh in. I am out for High Tea today (work event) so it might be unlikely.

Not2bObvious · 09/03/2018 08:18

Ahh yes feezles, a wise woman did say that😉 Enjoy your burger and I’ll enjoy my curry!
Hurrah TheDonald, turning the tide

HairsprayBabe · 09/03/2018 08:22

Happy Friday, guess what... 9.6 Again!

Moving to Nottingham on Sunday afternoon and not done any packing

Last day in my current job today!

no that I ever do any work because I am always on MN...

HairsprayBabe · 09/03/2018 08:28

I bought the Sabra btw and some nice pants

Busy weekend for me!

Kikisdeliveries · 09/03/2018 08:39

Not2 that's brilliantly exciting, I hope it stays there! Unfortunately my 11.2 drifted back up to 11.3 the next day and stayed there. But still a better week on average than for a while so I shall stay happy.

Friday is usually a good small eating day, as long as I'm abstemious at a social event this eve. Sunday is Mother's Day and I'm not planning to hold back particularly so I guess I ought to hold back tomorrow too.

My back is twingey again today after 2 incredibly enjoyable days of fun exercise so will need to take it carefully the next few days. I thought I was being careful but I guess I get over excited :(

Yay, glad you bought the Sabra hairspray!
