Welcome to the new Valentine's edition of the best thread on MN™ where we encourage and support each other to lose 7lbs in a month (though that happens so rarely maybe we need to change our USP!)

Hairspray you look a treat! That's the new 'do isn't it, not a throwback from when you had a fringe before?

HairsprayBabe · 22/02/2018 15:41

Yeah quimmy that was taken this morning!

ponygirlcurtis · 22/02/2018 15:58

Foxy loxy, Hairspray!

Good going Feezles - I am looking forward to getting my average too. Bit frustrating that I can only input full pounds in the Fitbit app though, rather than half pounds.

Kikisdeliveries · 22/02/2018 16:02

I haven't weighed in all week and am having a bit an odd time of it with health issues but someone asked if I'd lost weight today though it turned out I was looking a bit drawn/gaunt around the face. Hey ho. I was also placed (by someone else) at being a decade younger than I am so I obviously don't look that dreadful!

I am shattered though, something is kicking my ass at the moment but GP investigation underway so I'm not ignoring it at least.

Kikisdeliveries · 22/02/2018 16:02

Hairspray you are fabulous!

@ponygirlcurtis you can put in a decimal point in the Fitbit app, I put them in all the time. My scales goes in .2 increments
Btw another tip from my plan is to change your scales to pounds as it’s a quite abstract to us used to stones/pounds. I did it this morning and it’s helping ease the scales anguish a little more

ponygirlcurtis · 22/02/2018 17:26

I tried Not, mine won't let me. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

Sorry to hear you are having health issues Kiki, hope the GP can get them sorted out soon.

Not2bObvious · 22/02/2018 17:30

@ponygirlcurtis are you putting stones and pounds or just pounds? If it’s stones and pounds that might be why - or maybe you need to update the app

Hoolahoophop · 22/02/2018 17:33

Great fringe Hair and wow Cat I can't either Pony really frustrating. Not you always give great rational and positive advice. Thanks.

I've just recovered from an indulgent weekend. Hoping to sneak out a 1lb loss by tomorrow though my average will be up.

Hood job you lot are all here so I don't fall off the waggon.....and educating me about pottage!

TheDonald · 22/02/2018 18:00

No I can't either in the fitbit app but I can put decimals in the mfp app and I've got that set to kg.

I weigh in stones / pounds then convert it to kg and put it in mfp. That feeds back through to fitbit.

Now I've typed this out I realise it makes me sound a little obsessed and sad!

Hoolahoophop · 22/02/2018 18:27

Thanks Not ive switched to lb and can do it now.

Not2bObvious · 22/02/2018 19:28

Try changing to pounds TheDonald
Kgs are the worst! 2.204lb per kilo, even more disheartening for slow losers like me. Slow loser, story of my life😂

Feezles · 23/02/2018 06:39

Almost a pound up today - but I'm not surprised, I was up with the larks and weighed in very, very early. And my average still looks good for a 1.5lb loss this week, so I'm happy. Just got the weekend to get through - what could possibly go wrong?Confused

Not2bObvious · 23/02/2018 06:42

Give yis a laugh (as they say in certain parts of my hood😉)
I was doing my weigh in this morning and thought I read 15 stone 8.4 - I had one of those moments where I thought I’d pass out (dramatic much moi?) Took my addled brain a fair few seconds to remember I’d changed my scales from stones to pounds😂
Then I was all delighted😬 Of course it usually jumps up a bit on Saturday & Sunday but it lifted me to see a 2lb loss from last Friday. Happy Friday to me

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 23/02/2018 07:05

Morning all!

Love the new hair Hairspray!

Sorry you're having a tough time Kiki, hope things are ok Flowers

I weighed in this morning and I'm 1.7lbs down for the week, so 3.7lbs for the month so far. Pretty pleased with that because I normally lose so slowly!

Not2bObvious · 23/02/2018 07:06

This is why the average is great feezles, I’m showing around 1.3lb so far which is a massive improvement on this year so far. Super work on the 1.5, even if you have a fluctuation it won’t affect it that much. And more importantly it’ll be a real loss, not a fluctuation loss. The dream is of course 2lb a week until goal, the reality is slightly different

Not2bObvious · 23/02/2018 07:13

Sorry kiki I missed you saying you were poorly, how worrying - it’s all fine and well us all wanting to lose weight but your health is so so important. This dose I have won’t shift and has gone from throat to chest but at least I know what’s going on - I hope you get to the bottom of it and feel better soon. Your health is your wealth, let’s never forget that

HairsprayBabe · 23/02/2018 07:16

Happy birthday to me!!! Cake
I weigh 9st9, that is 7lbs for the month, and lowest weight since I was about 17. Shock I honestly thought I would never get here back at the end of Jan when I had bounced upto 10.6 again!

Lovely birthday gift to myself!

So hard to keep motivated when the scales are sticking and life gets in the way but it has been so worth it I don't care that I have been on a diet since 2016 I have lost 5st8lbs! It is my greatest achevement, I have worked so hard and I am not giving up untill I have reached my final goal! ❤

HappyGowerGirl · 23/02/2018 07:28

Wow double congrats Hair, for your birthday and the weight loss!

ponygirlcurtis · 23/02/2018 07:40

Great losses everyone! Thanks for the tip Not, got the Fitbit changed to lbs and I can do decimals now. Smile

Happy birthday Hairspray - great gift, what a tremendous amount, you have done (and are doing) amazingly. Hope you have a lovely day.

Feezles · 23/02/2018 07:56
