I HOPE THERE ARE AFEW MORE OF YOU OUT THERE.

I STARTED THE LIGHTER LIFE PROGRAMME 4 DAYS AGO AND HAD MY FIRST DRP IN WEIGH A KEOTONE TEST THIS MORNING.

9LB'S....

I WAS GOB SMACKD.......

WHAT A RESULT AND BELEIVE IT OR NOT IT WAS EASY. NO HUNGER OR CRAVINGS. APPARENTLY FIRST FOUR DAYS ARE THE WORST THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE A MID WEEK DROP IN.

I AM CHUFFED TO BITS...

IS ANYONE ELSE DOING IT?????

I think that once you've done the foundation you can buy 4 weeks worth- but am not definate about it.

Well done on your loss- half a stone will go really quickly

dalek · 15/08/2007 19:16

Thanks sammac - I do hope so although I have eaten quite a lot today hopefully most of it was healthy. I suppose I am just wary of slipping in to old habits and putting the weight back on although being aware of my old habits should help.

Good luck to you sammac.

Hi everyone that is doing LL. I started last night and have had my first shake this morning. I have been guaranteed I will be 3 stone lighter by mid November if I stick to it.

Yes people put weight back on, I am one of them. Lost 18lb with WW and put it all back on and more. I will be going to maintenance as I need to work out what I can eat without putting weight on and that was my downfall last time.

Was horrified to see I weighed 14 stone 2 pounds last night.

Please only leave messages of support.

Thanks.

SecondhandRose · 21/08/2007 13:23

Everyone is very quiet on this LL thread. I am now on day 5 and it is going well. I have a drop in tonight to change some food packs I don't like and to check everything is OK.

I feel amazingly well, not at all hungry. I had a food pack at noon because I thought I should not because I felt like one.

I am def in ketosis my mouth tastes very weird.

sammac · 21/08/2007 18:22

Well done. Hopefully you'll get weighed and have another good reason to continue. I have found that my tastes have changed. I started off with the soups and now take the fruit ones as a yoghurty thing and never have the soups at all.
My group are now around the 4 stone mark which we are pleased with- in 4 months (exactly on sunday past!)

I think people come and go on this thread- but I'm still here

SecondhandRose · 24/08/2007 08:30

Hi Sammac, just at the start of day 8 now. I lost 7lb last night. I am really pleased and I can feel the health benefits already.

I also feel calmer and happier. My DH is very supportive and encouraging.

My sachets finish mid November so I hope to go to maintenance to get me prepared for Christmas.

I am already finding my clothes are hanging off me, it is a fabulous feeling.

Well done on your loss.

SecondhandRose · 31/08/2007 09:48

It was my 2nd weigh in last night and I had lost another 4lb so that is 11lb in two weeks. I am a size 14 already and am feeling so proud of myself.

sammac · 31/08/2007 21:55

well done SHR it's a good feeling. Can I share mine with you- I bought and FIT a pair of size 12 jeans today and am over the moon about it. Didn't know if they would really fit or not but easily slipped on. Think I was last a size 12 in 1984 and don't think dh has known me before size 14.

We're going to his sister's 50th birthday tomorrow- not too hard to guess what I'll be wearing

SecondhandRose · 01/09/2007 16:55

Hope you are enjoying the party and getting lots of admiring comments. I bought a brilliant book called Perfect Portion by Linda Gassenheimer. Lots of pictres and details about what you should and shouldn't be eating. Shows pictures and tells you how many calories. Very enlightening and just what I need for future reference. Really recommend it.

Can't wait for week 3 to see if I've shed a stone. A few girls have left the group already which is a real shame.

sammac · 02/09/2007 20:52

We ende up as a group of 6 from about 10, but they have been truly supportive and have helped enormously.I really consider them true friends now. We were going for a coffee after class as 'fat friends' but now as we are all (she says proudly) size 12s, I guess we have to rename ourselves!

And yes- my sil and her friend were just staring at me all night- quite disconcerting after a while- but in a nice way really

I think you'll get the stone- I lost 13 pounds by the end of week 3 so absolutely achievable(just checked my book)

aznerak · 04/09/2007 09:38

Hi everyone!!

I am going to my intro session tomorrow, have my GP appointment booked for Thursday and assuming all is okay, I will start on Monday evening!! For some mad reason, I am actually very excited!!!

Any tips gratefully received.

A x x x

SecondhandRose · 04/09/2007 14:26

Hi there, no tips but you have to VERY dedicated to do it. Don't start if you don't mean to finish. I have already lost a stone in 3 weeks.

Stay away from anyone who may jeopardise your efforts and tell as few people as possible. Drink ALL 4 litres of water a day.

Go to all the support groups and get email addresses of the rest of your group so you can chat online.

I am so proud of what I have achieved so far.

Good luck.

aznerak · 04/09/2007 14:44

Well done SHR. Keep up the good work. My friend is currently doing it and has lost an amazing 7 stone. She is SUCH a different person, it is truly amazing. Having her support will be a big bonus, as she knows the pitfalls of people trying to tell you that LL isn't safe etc.

Will keep you posted as to how I get on.

Good luck for you on going x x x

SecondhandRose · 04/09/2007 18:54

Not safe! I feel fab, they're only jealous.

SecondhandRose · 07/09/2007 07:47

Had my weigh in last night and I have lost 4 more pounds. So that is 15lb in 3 weeks. My DH started it last night so we can work on it together.

aznerak · 07/09/2007 09:48

Well done SHR.
My medical was fine, so I go to my first session on Monday evening and start the program on Tuesday!

SecondhandRose · 08/09/2007 08:51

You may find it hard if you do promise your self you will stick on it for two weeks and then it will get better and feel natural to just have your shakes and bars. Think of Christmas and how fab you'll look.

aznerak · 09/09/2007 10:36

which of the foodpacks do you prefer?

SecondhandRose · 09/09/2007 19:43

I stick with the sweet ones. Find the savouries too salty and there's no prizes for eating the savoury ones. Strawberrry, banana and choc are my faves but I do have the raspberry and vanilla too.

sammac · 09/09/2007 19:54

I found that my tasted changed. I started off with the savoury, apart from making vanilla coffee for breakfast. But after about 8/9 weeks went right off them and have switched to the raspberry/banana/choc/strwberry. I add kust a little water and mix them to a yoghurty consistency.
I have moved onto management now and have the luxury of one meal a day. Have stuck to green salad and prawns mostly.

aznerak · 09/09/2007 20:06

Vanilla coffee? How do you make that then?
Are you allowed to chew any chewing gum as I am SO paranoid of getting smelly breath!!!

I bought the breath freshner spray- had them everywhere- bags, pockets, car, drawers in work- was really paranoid!! Just as Yorkie says- mix the vanilla mix in with a black coffee- become like a latte(almost. Have you boought a little blender- less than a fiver in asda, and it makes the difference.

Well done on completing management yorkie- you really have been my inspiration- not just saying that- genuinely! Can I ask what your total is?
