Arf, Beyond! Grin

Young great going on all that activity.

twinkledag · 07/01/2018 22:24

Thanks @TheDonald for sharing your lunches. I tend to have chicken salad every day boring I know.

Last - amazing run and good luck for your new job tomorrow.

I've had an ok weekend. Went out for dinner last night for my birthday but made sure I cycled beforehand to get some exercise in.

Weighing tomorrow morning!

poorpaws · 07/01/2018 22:34

Starting AGAIN tomorrow. Are you feeling any better BOOP?

BitOutOfPractice · 07/01/2018 22:52

Hello everyone!

I’m much better now thanks. Fighting fit. Managed to have a reasonable Weekend food and booze wise. The scales are staying stubbornly stuck though. It’s all about the perserverance though eh?

Did my treadmill class this morning. She had us with the treadmill up to a 15 incline. I was virtually crawling up it. We were supposed to sprint up it. Yeah. Right.

When losing weight you can' t pick a certain target weight eg 10 stone and then when you a) don' t reach it or b) don' t stick to it.
You can pick a target range such as between 10 and 10 1/2 stone, which will be much easier to attain as well as maintain.
Also be sure to choose a realistic target and eat a long term eating plan rather than a quick fix diet which are next to impossible to maintain.
The secret to an ideal weight is simple.

HairsprayBabe · 08/01/2018 07:15

Happy Monday all, 10.6 and back to work properly so the zone will be my easier to focus on!

Had a great day on Saturday, mixology master class, followed by Karioke and tequila, so a sore head on Sunday, cured by crisps and a lot of diet pepsi😂

No plans next weekend so I should be able to start next week closer to 10st, hopefully below it but I am not going to hold my breath!

Home made Thai Green Curry for dinner tonight 😊

Kikisdeliveries · 08/01/2018 07:51

I have officially lost 7lb since Jan 1st, which coincidentally is exactly the amount I put on over Christmas. Lost it quicker than I put it on which is a huge first for me.

Now if I can shift a few more then I'll be back to my Jan 2017 weight!

BeyondWW · 08/01/2018 08:13

First week done, down 5.2 Linda's 👍

Cooking to do today, either paneer coconut curry or lentil and root veg casserole. Maybe both if I'm feeling busy! Two of my diet staples Grin

cottonwool125 · 08/01/2018 08:46

Kiki and Beyond well done, brilliant loses! Smile

Down 3 1/4 pounds this morning. The MFP plan I'm on is meant to be helping me lose around 1 1/2 a week so the extra is a lovely bonus.

TVHubbyClaire · 08/01/2018 09:39

12st 7 1/2 today

Not too bad considering out for dinner on Saturday and home made burgers (no bun or fries, just corn) to "celebrate" NFL play off weekend yesterday

I'm still bringing Alpen to work for breakfast and would like to kick that habit and go back to 12:8 sometime soon

lastqueenofscotland · 08/01/2018 12:27

Bossing today! Being back at work makes sticking to a routine so much easier

Solly76 · 08/01/2018 12:31

Count me in. I've downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and am tracking my calorie intake as well as calories burned through exercise.
Aiming for 7lb this Jan.
I have a few stone to lose. I won't divulge my weight as that's a secret between me, the Divine, and my doctor....
Good luck everyone, let's do this

BeyondWW · 08/01/2018 12:53

Lentil and root veg casserole is on the hob 👍
Seem to be out of curry powder so have created my own by wanging in all of the relevant spices/herbs I could find. So it may not be as nice as usual. Chucked a load more garlic and chilli in just in case Grin

Kikisdeliveries and BeyondWW I do think some of the user inputted entries don't have all the info, so you may be getting more than it says. I know I'm low on iron though, feroglobin or spatone are good. Haven't ever used calcium supplements as my usual dirt features a latte a day and masses of cheese!

BeyondWW though it's a great idea I can't bring myself a bunless burger! But I can't eat potato so at least I save some calories getting a pineapple stick instead of chips Grin

Just struggled through a chicken salad that was a bit meh, but had nuts and strawberries and a tiny square of dark chocolate as my reward. Trying to make lunch my main meal on work days as I eat it between 2 and 3 and then don't get home til 8. Then I can just have some soup or scrambled eggs when I get in.

BeyondWW · 08/01/2018 16:08

🤯 I over-chillied it!!! 🔥🔥🔥

ponygirlcurtis · 08/01/2018 16:30

How was your first day last? Love seeing you so positive. Smile

Solly no need to divulge your weight, or even how much you lose. It's more about using the thread as motivation. (Although I have been known to go back to previous months to see what I was at various points.)

Back to work today, quick busy day and I just want to eat but I will have a cuppa and avoid (hopefully). Glad you are feeling better BOOP.

Solly76 · 08/01/2018 16:56

Has anyone else done the Slimfast plan? I'm trying it. It's ok, but I do get hungry, hopefully I will get used to less food soon.

I am a bit concerned about the sugar content of it though.

Oh KOKO your post has made me sad too Sad

So first of all have a little squeeze from me Thanks

Would it help you if someone actually just told you what to eat?

Do you work outside the home? Forgive me, I feel I should know that.

BeyondWW · 08/01/2018 17:26

:( koko, do you want to tell us a bit about your usual day/eating habits and we can try to advise (across all our various WOEs) what might work best for you?

Solly, I've done it before but the amount of milk disagrees with me Grin

Aww keep you sound so sad, it’s a mind melt no doubt. I don’t know your height or what you weigh but I reckon if you could stick to 1500-1600 a day, get a decent number of steps in a day - aiming to reach 10,000 even if it means marching on the spot (a cheap pedometer is all you need) get your 2-3 litres of water a day - eat decent amount of protein/carbs/fibre, no need to go crazy low carb. Aim to get 80% of your calories from good nutritious food, have 20% treaty stuff if you want. It’s so much better to try reduce your weight with food you can see yourself eating forever. Some examples of what I eat day to day:
Breakfast - bran flakes & semi skim milk (lots of fibre)
Lunch - Wholemeal sandwich with ham, reduced fat cheddar, tomato, bit of mayo
Or scrambled egg x 2, whole meal toast with butter
Dinner - decent bit of meat/veg, I might have baked potato instead of chips or wholemeal pasta to up my protein
This is a snapshot of what I do following Team Rh and I’m simplifying it greatly but just to give you a gist - I reckon if you could do those things you’d feel better and you’d see results. Hope you feel more positive soon

BeyondWW · 08/01/2018 17:46

Here's what I've eaten if it helps...

Breakfast - low sugar muesli, raspberries, whole milk, two white coffees
Lunch - tin of spicy tomato soup with half a pack of croutons
Dinner - root veg and lentil casserole (the recipe that I used the first time I made it is on bbc food)
Snacks - a mince pie and a graze box type thing
Water - 3L (I have a 1.5L bottle that I aim to refill once during the day)
