It’s been 6 years since the first New Mums thread but this year will be the one where we get skinny for Christmas!

We’ve tried pretty much every diet going and have supported each other through the good times and the bad. This will be our year, motivation is high and panic has set in.

Sorry you are struggling today Sol Hope you feel brighter soon.

I want a rice crispy cake now rachey
I know, it's really disappointing re the bag. I think I'll email Chloe directly.

Pomegranatepompom · 03/05/2018 21:45

Glad your mood is lifting green I'm thinking of taking a supplement to help with mood swings. I think it might have been recommended on this thread actually. It's tough being up and down with hormones ....

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 22:01

Today has been better Rachey thanks. The diet hasn’t been though.
I am starting to feel like I’m working through everything I have to do, it seemed impossible at the start of the week.
Hope you stop feeling sick soon, some days are just difficult.

The dieting will have to start properly again next week. I plan to eat loads of food at Disney as we have the dining plan.
It’s DD1s Birthday and mine over the weekend so I’m not going to worry about food.

I’m going to look for your thread Pom, you’ve wanted a Chloe bag for ages? Hope you have a lovely Birthday x
I think I might have recommended the supplement then forgot to take it. It did help, I’ll have a medication sort out and see what it was (Angus Cactus?)

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 22:01

I’m going to make crispy cakes at the weekend. We still have loads of Easter eggs taking up space!

Pomegranatepompom · 03/05/2018 22:10

That's it green I actually bought some and didn't take it. I am going to dig it out.

Have a lovely birthday as well Smile Have you asked for anything?

When are your t Disney? Is it May half term?

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 22:15

I’ve just read your bag thread Pom that’s really annoying. I would have thought Chloe would have offered repairs (I worked at HOF many years ago!)
Definitely try to contact then directly. I hate bad customer service, it’s so frustrating.

I bought a bag from a Radley outlet years ago (not a Radley, It was Hidesign). Anyway I didn’t use it for months, then I took it on holiday and the zip broke while on the plane going. I didn’t take it back to the outlet for another 6 months (I was pregnant and lazy). They sent it away and it came back as good as new. Boring story, but Harrods don’t sound great.

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 22:22

Yes, we are going to Florida at half term, just for a week. Staying in the resort. I’m more excited than the DC!

I’m not sure about presents. Parents and in laws are giving me dollars. I do have my eye on a red Cath Kidston bag. It’s got 20% off too.
It seems to get less exciting as we get older!

Pomegranatepompom · 03/05/2018 22:27

I'm definitely going to email Chloe directly.

Do you like Kate Spade bags? They re much cheaper in USA.
Which resort are you staying?

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 22:36

I like the look of Kate Spade so I will have a look for them. We are planning a shopping day.
Where do you recommend going to? We were thinking of the Premium outlets. We only have a day to shop and we aren’t hiring a car.

Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Pomegranatepompom · 03/05/2018 22:42

Definitely Premium outlets on I drive. A Taxi/uber would no cost much around $20 I'd say.
It's pretty big and you could easily spend a few hours there. I've been to the Florida mall before and didn't really rate it. Millennium mall is good but more high end shops. Depends what you are shopping for?

Oh that will be lovely. Disney Springs also has good shops, there's a Kate Spade there but you won't get a bargain like you probably will at the outlets. Apparently Sana (@ your resort) is a lovely restaurant. I'd like to try 'Ohana next time we go.

Greenrabbit · 03/05/2018 23:03

Thanks Pom,we will definitely go to the Premium outlets. I think we are mainly after stuff for DH. I’m not too bothered.

I love Disney Springs (or ‘Downtown’ as I still think of it!). We are hoping to squeeze that in too.

I think we are going to try Sana, the bread looks amazing.

I’m obessed with watching Disney food videos on YouTube!
It’s killing me as I love planning but DH isn’t a planner. It’s his Birthday when we are away and I’m trying to fit everything in. I’ve accepted that we can’t do that in a week. I hope we can go for longer in a couple of years time.

Racheyg · 05/05/2018 15:27

Just a quick post to say I really fail at sticking to a diet Sad going to read up dates and post again shortly. X

SolitudeSometimesIs · 07/05/2018 04:30

Green your holiday sounds amazing. Have a fantastic time. I've never been to any of the Disney's although my parents went to the one in Florida and loved it. Definitely do lots of shopping and report back so I can live vicariously through you Grin

Sorry to hear you're having a nightmare with your bag Pom. Social media can be a lifesaver when it comes to bad customer service, fire off a few tweets to the company if you feel like they are being unhelpful. I too shall go and read your thead.

You sound like you're really struggling Rachey, would it help to give yourself a cheat day once a week so you can still feel like you're having nice food? Is there anything we can do to help?

Well I have totally lost the run of myself. In a fit of insanity I booked me, DH and the kids in to a hotel for the weekend and we have basically spent the last two days swimming, eating delicious food that I didn't have to make and drinking wine in the bathroom after the kids have gone to sleep Grin. We got back last night and we had a great time. But we're off on holiday on Saturday for a week so I'm awake stressing that I won't have time to get everything organised by then.

I really need to get back on my diet but my diet but my willpower seems to have left me.

Hope you have a lovely birthday green

I love, love, love that you booked a weekend away sol

Sorry you are are struggling rachy

Back later, weigh in next week, I've had a lot of wine and cake !!!!!

Racheyg · 07/05/2018 17:51

pom and green hope you both had great birthdays. Did you get anything nice?

sol that sounds like a great weekend you and the family have had.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 07/05/2018 23:56

Happy Birthday Pom and Green!

Pom I don't know what came over me, I didn't even get a great deal or anything, I just needed some space. My in-laws have been quite suffocating the last while, making shitty comments if they see the kids too often and then whinging if we stay away. I know my DS's can be hard work, I don't need it constantly pointed out! I have never booked a holiday on a whim before, I usually spend weeks researching.

How are you getting on Rachey? You seemed so down recently.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. I feel fat and sweaty but it makes a nice change from fat and freezing 😂

Morning all,

I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend in the sun.

Sorry for the last few posts, was feeling very disappointed in myself I know I can do it I just seem to let loose a little too much after seeing great results on the scales.

I have spent the weekend eat and drinking (I never normally drink but I felt it would be rude not too with the great weather)

sol are your in laws always like that? Sounds hard work for you and dh. Do you think they struggle dealing with ds2? Grand parents can be funny things.

How are the last minute packing going for your holiday, I forgot where you are going.

pom did dh get you anything nice? Are you going away also?

green how are your holiday plans coming on? I did all the shopping outlets while there but I'm going back to 2004. I brought a lot as I think the dollar was weak against the pound. But my bil and sil went not so long ago and didn't notice much of a price difference to shopping outlets here. What is dh looking for? I think Levi's are pretty good deal over there?

Racheyg · 08/05/2018 08:21

Ok back on it today.

I did do 600 cals on my spin class yesterday but I did eat and drink triple that Grin

Today
Vanilla and coffee shot shake

Lunch
Sweet and sour noodles

Dinner
Shake

Going to my spin class tonight and will hope to burn about 550 cals.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 08/05/2018 09:47

You sound like you have a have a serious case of motivation now RaRacheymaybe you just needed a bit of let loose time to find it again.

My in-laws can be quite hard work. They mind the kids for 4 hours one day a week (they are paid for this) and always offer to have the kids more, but when we ask them to they can be really weird about it. We don't really ask them to take the kids, but they took them for 2 nights a while ago and all we heard about was how much they were dreading it etc. But they stayed in our house, we had all the food bought, left money for a takeaway and stuff but they still moaned. I think they have very high expectations of DS2 and because of his special needs he will always fail to meet up to them.

Sorry for the moan, but they're driving me mad.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 08/05/2018 09:48

God, loads of typos in that post.
And my PIL's mind the kids for 2 hours, not 4. I need more coffee.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 08/05/2018 12:14

They mind for 2 hours and you pay them Shock they sounds a right pain. No wonder you needed some time away. Sounds like there is no pleasing them, it must be very upsetting to hear their comments. I'd restrict access (sort of been there but not with PIL who are very neutral !). Your weekend away sounded fab and I think extra lovely to book last minute !

You do sounds focused rachey I'll try and join you ! I had a very decadent food/drink weekend. About to go for a run in a mo.

How was your weekend green ?

Pomegranatepompom · 09/05/2018 06:51

I'm so chubby, my run was really hard yesterday.
Aiming to do 2 fast days.
Yogurt and fruit 200
Soup 150
Chicken salad 250

Have a good day everyone !

SolitudeSometimesIs · 09/05/2018 06:58

Morning!

Well done on your run Pom, do you do a set distance? I'm seriously toying with getting a treadmill. I'm not brave enough to run on the street yet. Your menu for today sounds good.

And yes, we pay PIL, so we can't have it thrown back in our faces that we use them for childcare. I hate that we have to rely on them but it's our only option at the moment.

I'm going to try and be better today. I had some pizza and crisps last night, not good!

OP posts:
Racheyg · 09/05/2018 16:27

Ok, I haven't been good. I went out for lunch after trying dresses on and had bread, wine and cake.

Tomorrow is a new day Grin

Racheyg · 09/05/2018 16:33

These two wedding dresses were the best I tried on. What do you think? Very different styles
