10 5.8 for me this morning so down 1.2 pounds - not a huge loss, but better than a gain! Have done over 10,000 steps per day so feel much better, felt really sluggish before.

Have a good week-end everyone.

poorpaws · 03/11/2017 22:40

Niki love the dress, I bet you look gorgeous in it. Perfect for the gym party.

backinthatdress · 04/11/2017 06:31

Niki- that sounds like Ike loads of fun! I'm abit jealous of all your excerise, I don't really do anyBlush

Yesterday was mostly good, although I ended up eating 2 more mini bags of squishes over my points again! My nan gave me a whole box for the kids as she never had many trick or treaters (along with a box of haribo & a tin of sweet shop sweets) but I can resist those!

Five- well done!

I'm glad Iv read this first thing before Iv had a chance to eat yet, makes me feel abit more motivated but my day is full of running around after the kids today, daughter has a bday party in the morning and a sleepover bday party at the night and we're then taking our son to see some fireworks!

backinthatdress · 04/11/2017 06:32

TieGrr - that's a really nice dress! You can do it :)

backinthatdress · 04/11/2017 06:33

TheDonald - one bad day won't ruin it all! Keep going and have your eggs for breakfast.

HairsprayBabe · 04/11/2017 07:47

Welcome scarf! Go and do the park run/walk - you will feel so great after and far less likely to eat the contents of your house!

It would work for me anyway :)

Flyingprettycretonnecurtains · 04/11/2017 08:03

Hi

After loads of operations, radiotherapy and being off work so lots of meeting friends for coffee and cake I have hit 10 stone and there is a significant blubber issue. Am now on hormone tablets which add to weight gain too. So, need to get down by four lbs realistically and half a stone very very hopefully (but unlikely).

Last December, January and most of Feb I cut out processed sugar quite successfully just allowing myself a tiny bit of dark choc after supper and did lose quite a bit so think I will do that again. Portion size - I've started cutting that down. I know people who have lost a lot using Slimming Workd but it seems rather complicated so put off by that.

TheDonald · 04/11/2017 08:06

Welcome scarf.

I love park run. It makes me feel all virtuous all weekend. Sadly ours is cancelled today because they are setting up for the fireworks.

KikisDeliveryService · 04/11/2017 08:07

Welcome flying, sounds like you’ve been through tough times Flowers. Everyone has different methods here so you’ll find plenty of support!

KikisDeliveryService · 04/11/2017 08:10

I’ve weighed in and it is not a dramatic loss by any means but it is a positive start of 1.4lbs off.

Now to not put it back on over the weekend, my usual downfall...

TheDonald · 04/11/2017 08:12

Hi flying.

Glad to hear your health is improving. I'm also on hormones following an early menopause due to chemo. The chemo was years ago but the early menopause was a long-term side effect.

I gained just over a stone really quickly and losing it has been so slow.

Last month I had a real breakthrough when I gave up sugar and reduced portions of carbs. I've been tracking on MFP and I've easily stuck to 1200-1400 calls a day without too much effort.

This week has not been so successful but I do feel much better generally and I can run uphill better too!

Good luck with it.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 04/11/2017 11:21

Morning all, gosh this thread is moving fast!

Welcome Scarf and Flying!

Splatattack hope you're feeling better today!

Niki that dress is lovely! Have you considered upping your calories? You are doing such a lot of exercise and if you are feeling rough it might be your body telling you it needs more fuel.

That's amazing Hairspray! Well done Flowers

jimsdoll · 04/11/2017 12:36

Weighed in this morning 9st 13. Was out last night so will take all my willpower to stay on track today. My plan is no bread or junk food lots of fruit and veg, minimal pasta or rice. Exercise wise I'm going to start a hiit class on Monday and I'll do another hiit session at home (love the body coach you tube workouts), bit of running on treadmill 1/2 days and I'll do cycle as well.

Good luck for the week ahead

IheartCaptainHolt · 04/11/2017 14:03

Well done everyone who has lost.

Hairspray I have no idea how much I weighed when I was 18 but I would be bloody ecstatic to be that trim again!

Got my 10k steps in already curtesy of park run and housework. Had a very virtuous lunch and made sweet potato, spinach and lentil dhal for tea which smells delicious.

ponygirlcurtis · 04/11/2017 14:04

Oh dear splatattack, that sounds painful. Hope you are feeling better today.

TheDonald, I often struggle to get the scales to reflect my effort as well, it can be very demoralising I know. Fat cells can fill up with water after being emptied of the fat (they will do anything to not disappear altogether!), and can hold onto it for a while. Then they finally empty leading to a bit of a whoosh. I find drinking loads and loads of water really helps.

ponygirlcurtis · 04/11/2017 14:11

I have two Christmas parties (plus Christmas day itself). Last year was the first time in ages that I felt good in what I was wearing to the parties. I recently retried on one of last year's dresses, which was decidedly tight across the boobs. It now fits nicely!

I bought this dress from Asda recently and it looks really nice on (with hold-me-in pants, obvs). So that's an option for Christmas. But I have also bought a black tulle skirt and a zebra-print off the shoulder top and I am too scared to try them on in case it looks awful or doesn't fit! Daft I know...

NamasteNiki · 04/11/2017 19:20

@ponygirl Shock that dress is gorgeous!

@spurious you are probably right I do need to up my calories but by how much. I am also badly anaemic and awaiting treatment.

@hairspray. Well done! When I was 18 I was 8 stone. Ain't never gonna be that weight again. Grin

splatattack · 04/11/2017 19:30

Thank you...feeling pretty sleepy today, I think I managed to give myself concussion! But have eaten well all day, resisted the squishys in the coop (my mouth is watering as I type!)...

I have lost about 3-4 pounds on the scales from this week...but I find it usually takes a week for my body to catch up to my good behaviour (exercise and food)...and half a week to catch up to my bad behaviour (duvet days and pizza 🙈)

Well done everyone and thank you so much for motivating from afar with this thread!!!

Cakelesswonder · 04/11/2017 19:35

Well done everyone 👏🏼👏🏼 Managed to maintain my weight the last few days which is good as I ate 4 mince pies yesterday Blush however I've managed the gym today and stuck to 1200 calories which is unheard of on a weekend. Onwards and downwards...

Therealjudgejudy · 04/11/2017 20:00

The weather here this morning was fab. Went shopping and bought myself a nice grey wool day dress in Next Smile.

Went to the gym for an hour after and when I left it started flogging rain. It's after getting a lot colder as well.

Not planning to weigh myself until Monday as AF is in the building. Finishing today at 1300 calories which is 100 under my Saturday target so I might actually have a chocolate digestive with my cup of tea shortly. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

TieGrr · 04/11/2017 20:43

Went out for my first run in months. Lovely cold, crisp day for it. I'd love to get to the point where I could do Parkrun every week because the last time I ran regularly, a few years ago, there were no suitable ones near me. Now I have a choice.

Also downloaded a daily weight tracking app for my phone. Am hoping it will help me learn the patterns of my weight loss.

backinthatdress · 04/11/2017 20:56

Today's been a good day! Stayed on track within my allowance! Woo.
Just had some pineapple to finish the day.

Pony - that's a nice dress!!

twinkledag · 04/11/2017 21:12

I’ve had a not-so-good 48 hours.

Struggle when it’s cold plus our fridge is broken so we’ve got a tiny fridge and an even tinier freezer which means batch cooking (which I used to rely on) is out of the question. BIG SIGH!

Will keep going though! Have managed to resist stepping on the scales which is unheard of as I usually jump on them multiple times a day Blush

Loving seeing all the dresses everyone!
