Holy moly Cat! That's inspirational! You often get people with more than a couple of stone to lose saying they struggle to get started - hearing that they could be dropping almost half a stone a week would really get people moving!

TheDonald · 20/11/2017 22:00

Cat that's amazing. You should get there in no time Smile

Not sure what to put in mfp today really. I woke up with a delightful stomach bug. Couldn't keep anything down. I had a very important work event tonight so once I'd stopped being sick I dragged myself in around 3.00 and got home at 9.00.

I had one slice of toast at 2.00 then decided it was safer not to eat until afterwards. I've had a bag of crisps and a slice of dds pizza.

Probably only 500 cals max but total crap. I think I probably need to eat more now but I don't feel like it Sad

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

HairsprayBabe · 21/11/2017 07:54

9.12 on training today... hopefully they don't wheel out a big tray of cakes every 1/2 hour!

TheCatOfAthenry · 21/11/2017 08:04

Feel better soon, Donald!

If you feel ill, no need to force food down. Just stay hydrated. X

NamasteNiki · 21/11/2017 08:41

KOOP Your meal plan sounds luscious.
I really have no idea when I joined this group but I am so glad I did. So proud of all of us no matter how we've done as it has been a hard journey.

I wish we could have a meet up but we're all do far and wide

QuimReaper · 21/11/2017 09:51

koko that sounds like a wonderful meal plan! Nice and filling but also light, no carbs to speak of, and jolly healthy.

To be honest I think this naturally-slim-people thing is sadly a bit of a red herring. I'm not saying they aren't out there (in fact by most people's standards I am one of them), but it's generally because their body regulates their appetite for them, or they have a natural surplus of energy, or they have a faster metabolism, and none of these are things you can learn. What I'm saying is that, for instance, one of the keys to maintaining my weight for me is to be very strict about carbs during the week, whereas for a variety of reasons, lots of "naturally slim" people can probably eat toast and pasta every day and not gain weight. They probably just primarily eat the sensible meals which we all know about, but don't see it as a struggle!

QuimReaper · 21/11/2017 09:56

Poor you Donald, that sounds awful. Definitely don't force yourself to eat, your poor tum probably just needs a chance to recover. I'm sure it'll tell you when it's ready for food again, via the medium of violent carb cravings Grin

How's the mouth Niki?

BitOutOfPractice · 21/11/2017 11:14

I totally agree Niki. Me too. I joined last October and I'm 22lbs on that weight. Lots and lots of blips since then - Christmas...holidays...life...but it's a downwards trend (56lbs total loss)

Get well soon Donald. Eat when your body tells you to, not because you think you should.

Well done all the losers...Chard, Niki< Hairspray, Cat. Excellent work!

Managed a fully golden day yesterday including traedmill class. I am back in the game

NamasteNiki · 21/11/2017 12:40

Have problems with my wisdom extraction. Nerve pain etc. Excruciating. Sad0

TheDonald · 21/11/2017 13:52

Niki you sound like you've had Ann awful time with that toothSad have you been back to get it checked?

I'm feeling much better today but I'm still not really eating. Just don't fancy anything but I'm starting to feel a bit light headed so I'll have a bit of toast I think.

I think once I start eating I won't stop!

TheDonald · 21/11/2017 13:53

Sorry. Not sure who Ann Is!

NamasteNiki · 21/11/2017 15:33

It was a dry socket so the bone and nerves were exposed to air causing severe nerve pain. Dentist has packed it and it feels a bit better.

Eat Donald. You dont want to faint Flowers

Newbie here, I'm so in for this! Want to lose 14lbs by end of January, but slip up at every opportunity. WW app is helping, but 23 points feels like nothing and I want to snack at night. Need a bit of a boost to keep me motivated!

BitOutOfPractice · 21/11/2017 16:43

Ouchy ouch ouch Niki

I got my black belt! Grin Slightly bruised and swollen hand from smashing several boards but otherwise intact! Must have burned off a zillion calories this evening and was too nervous to eat much.

Ah koko, don’t stop posting. Can I ask if there’s a time of day the ‘oh sod it’ factor comes into effect? I’m wondering if there’s any way you can change up your routine and just avoid the situation so you don’t encounter the opportunity to start nibbling? Could you post here when you start feeling like you want to snack? Might help reset your brain, add a bit of mindfulness? Maybe drink a massive glass of water when you want to nibble? I’m sure others will have better ideas but these are things that have sometimes worked for me in the past.

Also, thank you. The grading was very special and as a woman in my 40s the achievement feels immense.

TheCatOfAthenry · 22/11/2017 08:16

Koko stay! We can support you through the difficult times too and help you get back to it when you’re ready.

lastqueenofscotland · 22/11/2017 08:22

I've lost 3 Linda's this week... which I'm happy with finally feeling like my head is back in the game

BitOutOfPractice · 22/11/2017 08:26

KoKo don't go away. I alwys find things so much worse when I disappear and bury my head in the sand. How about saying "I'll just try and maintain till Christmas" or "I'll try and avoid booze / sugar / cheese till Christmas". Take some of the pressure off

Very well done KiKi

I'm a half down today. It's a start
