Go for it splat.

That's fantastic TheDonald! Well done.

TheDonald · 11/11/2017 10:30

quim no not a single one! I think I look loads slimmer. I can see it in my face.

I have had comments from running club members that I'm running better which is great! A big part of my reason for losing weight was that I was on the cusp of having to give up running with the group I've been with for 10 years because I was getting too slow. I'm pretty much up with them again now except on long hills and they all weigh between 2 and 3 stone less than me. And most are 10 years older too!

I always think I should make them wear a backpack to bring them up to my weight to even things out!

TheDonald · 11/11/2017 10:34

Oh and I'm also worrying about Christmas. I wouldn't mind if it was just a few days or even a week but for me the meals out are starting on the 1st and there's something every week for a month!

I'm going to try to enjoy it but just stay off the sweet stuff. I've said I'll do park run on Christmas day so that will get me off to a good start!

QuimReaper · 11/11/2017 10:47

I don't mind the parties every weekend because I've got the weekdays to try and compensate, but having a whole week of it pretty much on the trot is going to be monstrous! I'm hoping my mum goes to see her family for a couple of days in the middle and asks me to mind the dog, so I can sit in her house drinking broth. I'm pretty good at that by now.

I'm always amazed to hear about people who are such dedicated runners trying to lose weight, I always imagine it'd just fall off you!

twinkledag · 11/11/2017 12:03

That’s fab, Donald re the weight loss and the running. You must be really pleased!

Thanks for the pep talk all. What a lovely group Smile. I had a bad tummy yesterday after eating crap which is keeping me on the straight and narrow today Grin

splatattack · 11/11/2017 12:46

Twinkle so interesting that once you cut out unhealthy food, the minute you start again your body doesn't like it...I am always so obsessed about losing weight because of how I look, it is so nice to have a reminder of what eating unhealthily does to general health! Onwards and upwards to better health!!!

Thanks twinkle

Quim yes it's taken over 10 years for me to finally accept that three hours of running a week does not give me free rein to eat crap the remaining 6 days and 21 hours!

I have a desk job with big deadlines and it's not uncommon for me to sit at my desk for up to 4 hours at a time without standing up. Plus running gives me an appetite like nothing else!

It's interesting that last week I didn't lose weight and I did three very long hard runs. This week I've only been once and I've lost!

lastqueenofscotland · 11/11/2017 14:10

Dragged my ass down to parkrun despite sitting up crying all night about the state of my life.
Managed a good day and didn't comfort eat so should be on for another good day today too. Smile

HappyGowerGirl · 11/11/2017 14:23

Sounds like some good progress is being made on this thread! I had a bit of a run in with some chocolates last night (woops!) but I'd been really restrained prior to that for the last few days and this morning I weighed in at 59.9kg! I do love it when I dip below 60kg!

And then (non scale victory coming up, which in many ways are just so
much better than scale victories😀) I comfortably fit into some denim hot pants that predate my three children😮😮😮 I didn't even have to hold my breath to do up the button!😂

HappyGowerGirl · 11/11/2017 14:29

Ah Across I'm sure we've all felt like that at one point or another... But like you said you've done so well over the last few days! So give yourself a break:-) (Which is I'm sure all Niki meant to say with her post)

Therealjudgejudy · 11/11/2017 14:44

Hi all, just checking in Smile..

Well done on all the great losses and hugs to those feeling down.

Had a great gym and cal count on Thursday...yesterday however was a long crazy day. Had to work as am normally off on Fridays. Mad busy day of appointments so survived on coffee and water all day and then a very nice New Yorker sandwich on the train coming home last night.

No gym today but l went walking thus morning and I'm going to d's an online yoga tutorial before dinner. I've also planned to stick to 1000 calories today ftw.

Weighed in on Thursday at 9st 3 which is good progress. Hope everyone has a good Saturday Star

HappyGowerGirl · 11/11/2017 15:06

Oh thereal 9.3 is my goal I think! 3lb to go. What's yours?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 11/11/2017 15:25

Last well done on dragging yourself to parkrun, you should be proud of yourself Flowers

Well done Happy, I love a NSV!

I'm sort of bumbling along, but my head hasn't really been in the game the last couple of weeks. Will weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is! I have a bit of time off work now so I'm going to get back into a proper exercise routine, as that has fallen by the wayside over the last couple of months.

Flyingprettycretonnecurtains · 11/11/2017 15:56

Got to 9st 13 and still there. Son has made amazing chocolate cake again though....

splatattack · 11/11/2017 16:42

I'm on 10 stone still and it is driving me mad!! I want to hit the 9's!!!

readyforsunshine · 12/11/2017 06:54

Morning all
Just checking in to report my weekly weigh in although I daily weigh & read the thread every day.
Im down almost another 3lbs to bring my total to 7 in 2 weeks, hurray! I’ve finally passed the 10.7 barrier that I e been unable break, so I hope that gives stuck people some hope.
Really well done to Donald, Kiki & backinthat dress, you’re doing amazingly well.
I’ve hit 4 of my targets on happy scale & feel I’m actually officially losing rather than losing & gaining the same 3 lbs. i suppose it’s now going to get really tough!
Happy Sunday everyone 🙂

HappyGowerGirl · 12/11/2017 07:21

Nice work ready!!!
I'm 59.8kg (9.6) this morning, still below 60kg (my aim for this month) so happy about that.

TheDonald · 12/11/2017 07:45

Well done ready. That's really positive.

Happy Sunday everyone.

TheDonald · 12/11/2017 07:47

And gower too!

Sorry. Must refresh thread before posting. I'm planning a holiday on the Gower next summer. Do you live there? Such a special place.

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 12/11/2017 08:18

Had a bad couple of days but back on it today. Inspiring to read of other people doing so well. Well done peeps!

ponygirlcurtis · 12/11/2017 09:05

Well done ready and Happy! I am hoping for a small loss for my official weigh day tomorrow (another daily weigher), I am inching closer to my goal of 10st 10lbs. Slow progress but better than no progress!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/11/2017 09:40

Well done Ready and Happy!

I'm still the same weight, but I'm hoping that if I don't go overboard today and stick to my calories all week I might see a loss this week. I'm only 2lbs above the top of my goal range so I'm really hoping to get there this month!

HappyGowerGirl · 12/11/2017 09:43

Donald I used to live there, not anymore sadly! It's the perfect place for a holiday:-)

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 12/11/2017 10:26

My sister lives on the v last street in Swansea before the Gower begins. Beautiful in summer. But DAMP in winter...
