I saw 10 dead this morning then the scales changed their minds and flicked back to 10.1 eurgh...

Going out for dinner and cocktails tonight for my aunt and uncles wedding anniversary... so that will ruin everything.

TieGrr · 10/11/2017 10:17

10.8 in Slimming World last night, 10.6 on my own scales this morning Smile

That 10 stone is getting closer and closer.

Although the Galaxy bar I had this morning to cheer me up after the morning (and evening) from hell with DD won't help me get there.

TVHubbyClaire · 10/11/2017 10:24

No access to scales this week during bathroom refit but feeling heavy. Dreading the next time I step on the scales

Will try and have a reasonably good weekend. will definitely walk and hopefully minimal alcohol

Small portions and back on coffee with dark chocolate instead of desserts next week tooWink

HairsprayBabe · 10/11/2017 11:05

Oh and AF is currently on the rampage so all I want to do is eat and lie down.

backinthatdress · 10/11/2017 11:37

thanks everyone.

its my partners bday this sunday and we are going to frankie and bennys for breakfast with a few friends and the kids there will be 15 of us in total. iv had a look at the menu and i think il just stick to a toasted muffin and butter with a cup of tea or a slice of toast. everything looks high in calories and i dont wanna ruin my hard work so far.
He also wants dominos for tea and a movie night with the kids so il just avoid that and let him and the kids have it.

yesterday was a good day food wise.

HairsprayBabe - i always get chocolate cravings 2 weeks before my period for a few days, every single month. its such a pain, if im going to break my diet its always that week !!

kiki- well done!!

Tie- well done also!

lastqueenofscotland · 10/11/2017 11:38

All the advice and support on here to KOKO is very helpful and motivating

I never seen to find time to post but thank you all for the thread

twinkledag · 10/11/2017 14:14

back - I just came on to confess I ate pizza!

Light dinner and a good weekend ahead for me, I don't want to undo the hard work I put in at beginning of the week.

poorpaws · 10/11/2017 15:16

I heard a very good analogy at WW for people like me who, once they have had a bad day, think they have buggered the whole week up and eat crap all week. Apologies for all those who have heard it before but I haven’t and I thought it was quite inspiring.

“If you find one of your car tyres flat you don’t slash the other three, you mend the tyre and get on with your journey”.

Really must think of this when I have a binge day that turns into a whole week. 😱

TieGrr · 10/11/2017 15:25

poor I've heard different variations of that before and I really like it as an idea. I'm guilty of it as well.

Slides back in with a fat flop - Lord only knows what the scales are saying - just back from a work trip and off on another one next week - as long I don't go above 11.0 by the 30th that will be a win!!!

Love the analogy Paws - I may adopt it as of now!!!!

twinkledag · 10/11/2017 18:29

I feel sick! Don’t know why I do it to myself! I know I feel better when I eat well so don’t why I do it! Lesson learnt!

TheCatOfAthenry · 10/11/2017 21:45

Went for food with friend and had a veg heavy chicken teriyaki without rice. All going very well!

Acrosstheuniverse123 · 10/11/2017 22:45

Well.. I have done really well the past few days but blew it today. Ate far too much for dinner and hit the wine. I feel really shit. I just feel unwell and tired. Back to it tomorrow, I'm really disgusted with myself.

NamasteNiki · 11/11/2017 01:52

I'm really disgusted with myself.

Im sorry but dont lets start this.

Loathing and disgust for one indulgence at dinner is not really the kind of thread I joined.

ponygirlcurtis · 11/11/2017 07:53

Don't beat yourself up Across, we have all done it. It's really important to be kind to yourself - we are all human and this weight loss journey has peaks and troughs. It's the troughs that make us appreciate the peaks even more. Give yourself a mental hug, and get back on the wagon.

KikisDeliveryService · 11/11/2017 08:14

Twinkle, Across don’t beat yourself about about it, just dust yourself off and eat less today.

I’ve lost 3.6 lbs so far this month! Very happy with that progress and I can see the difference too.

I wouldn’t normally weigh in everyday but my goodness it’s nice when the result is positive! And yesterday wasn’t even a golden day at all.

We’re having friends round later so will go easy on the wine and i have some healthy nibbles planned and there won’t be any junk food available.

TheDonald · 11/11/2017 08:30

Please don't be hard on yourself across. I agree with pp. The culture of shame and guilt around food is what keeps us all unhealthy. Sometimes it's ok to eat what we fancy. If you're an emotional eater sometimes it's necessary. I know I can only lose weight when my mental health is good and things are generally going well in my life.

Speaking of which!

I only ever log my weight on a Saturday. Last week I ended the week up slightly for the first time since I joined this thread. This week I've lost another 2lb! 11 stone 1.4!!

That's 10lb all together since 1st October. As of today my BMI is officially normal! (As long as I round my height up to 5' 6 from 5'5.5!!)

Next week I want it to start with a 10.

Softpebbles · 11/11/2017 08:34

Across - dust yourself down. Get back on the horse. It's ok, today is a new day.

It's also ok to feel you've let yourself down - you haven't your normal we have all done it. Crikey I've been here for months and have had my head out of the game more than I've been in it 🙈

Well done Kiki 😀 Had to check it wasn't KOKO. 😂

Niki - bit harsh. Sometimes it's just how someone feels and how they write. You've had points where you've felt disheartened with things. 😊

splatattack · 11/11/2017 09:57

Amazing thedonald!!! Big big hug to you...I hope you feel amazing all day, 10pounds is loads to lose and it sounds like you have done it healthily and in a way that can be maintained...

I am about to step on the scales but nervous!! I have had a chest infection all week so haven't moved much at all, never mind doing any exercise 😔 but I have been quite strict with what I have been eating so hopefully it hasn't gone up!! 🤞

QuimReaper · 11/11/2017 10:13

I agree with the others Across, you can't possibly not let your hair down from time to time. I mean, you could try, but it sounds a bit joyless. Was it a special occasion? I understand feeling pissed with yourself if it was an unplanned self-control failure, but if it was, do just note for next time how it didn't make you feel better so you can try to summon that knowledge next time you're wobbling, and otherwise just take a deep breath and forget about it. Life's too short. And look at it this way - wasn't there a point where you'd have eaten and drunk the same without batting an eyelid? The fact that you feel so down about it is progress in itself.

Niki steady on Hmm

QuimReaper · 11/11/2017 10:20

Donald that's an incredible loss in such a short space of time, have you had tons of comments? You too Tie, and Kiki you're sounding very positive, it's so great when the losses help maintain the momentum!

In an attempt to gauge the accuracy (or otherwise) of my bathroom scales, I've used them three times in the past few weeks right before a weigh-in. First time they came in 500g heavier than the Boots ones; second time 700g heavier; and yesterday they were in exact agreement with Boots. I'm lost!

Also apparently I've gained 1.1kg since last Friday Confused I hardly had an angel week, with that very heavy Tuesday plonked in the middle of it Blush but I didn't think it was that bad. I'm hoping it's just a fluctuation.

My calendar for the Christmas week is already beginning to alarm me. It goes Eve, Day, Boxing Day, day out with matinee and dinner, then friends coming to stay, then 2 days off, then NYE. Then the compulsory massive hungover meal / takeaway on NYD. Eek! I'm going to be the size of a horse.
