11 weeks to Xmas 1 stone

Ok I have not been in a good place and this week I divided to make changes in work and lifestyle. One day at a time . Slowly making little changes every day and slowly I can feel my mental health improving a tiny bit . I bit the bullet this morning and weighed in at 14st 1.5 lb .

Instead of berating myself I said I would start today in the food . The exercise I have started to tackle slowly .

So I just counted 11 weeks to Xmas and I would love to be 13 stone by then . Anyone fancy a buddy .

I’m nearly 50 with teenagers so I am not expecting to be svelte but would like to feel a bit healthier fitter and not like there iss a big tyre pushing into me when I strap my seat belt on .

I'll join you! Im 5ft2 and weighed in yesterday at 10st 4lb. Ive joined these threads before and swiftly lost all motovation and willpower! Ive recently separated from my husband, loosing some weight would really boost my (extremely lacking) confidence!!

My downfall is chocolate and pizza and i use food as a comfort/reward which id like to stop!!!

Can I join too? I'm 5'4 and 10 stone 11 I've lost half a stone with SW but it has taken me ages. Would love to get another stone off by Christmas and get back into some of the clothes that used to fit me!

I'll join too. Started Monday morning at 11st 11, want to be back to 10,7 by Xmas so little bit more than a stone.. I've been very good this week so far so dying to jump on scales next Monday morning ..
I find mfp really helpful

Can I join please. I am 5foot 6 and weigh 12stone 4. The weight has really got to me. I have started this week by giving up sweets, chocolate and biscuits. I would love to be 11.5 by Christmas

I started eating better this week too.

On Monday I weighed in at 12st 4.

I'd like to have lost at least 1st by my Xmas party on Dec 16th.

Me too please. Had lots of personal issues recently and been comfort eating. Weighed in this morning at 12 8 and would love to be at least a stone lighter by Christmas

Howlong our weights are pretty similar from what I can see .
Hellosausage sorry to hear about your separation. And yes we all tend to comfort eat. Amaried I was good yesterday and jumped on scales today . No change yet though . Little pig , frickety and lovewatching sounds like your heads are focused so let’s do this .
I try and set a challenge everyday for myself whether it’s 15 min walk or do my 10k steps. Or could be clean a room or a cupboard .
This for me is more about my mental health as well .

That’s good @Inarutneedhelp. I think little tasks are the way forward.

Today I struggled took the husband food shopping (big mistake) he came home with loads of chocolate and 3 giant cookies. I was good however and brought corn to make plain popcorn as a snack.

Am resisting standing on the scales and will weigh in on a Monday.

I feel the need to join. I did 30 day shred before the summer and haven't touched exercise (but plenty of junk) since. I dread to think what my weight is at the moment, but suspect it's around 13st. I'm fed up of being embarrassed around my dh and want to fit into nice clothes again.

yes lovely I will join you. I weighted 14st 6 this morning (I'm 5 ft 5) I have been doing weightwatchers (sporadically) and have lost the first stone already, but obviously its slowed down now (it never used to be this slow!) My next milestone is 13st 5. I can't even think about my end goal right now. I joined a gym a month ago, but it hasn't actually opened yet so how motivated I'll be to go when it finally does open is anyones guess...

I think checking in here will help too. Lovewatching well done on the pop corn . There are cookies here too at the moment but I got some berries from Tesco to have with Greek yoghurt . I will resist.
Wetdog the scales might not be too bad . I dreaded it . Actually when I got on first it said 12.2 . I thought no way . Realised it in a carpet lol and moved it and suddenly I put on 2 stone . All in a minute you are doing so good so far . Keep it up .

The same here . Weekends hard . I did my shopping this morning after a big breakfast of brown toast peanut butter and banana. I bought Tesco fruit bar as a treat and had one with a coffee after all shopping put away . Had soup for lunch then a forest walk with my kids . The 19 year old decided to join in ! I am ravenous now and think a handful of nuts and a satsuma might keep me going until dinner . Tonight will be tough .
How about the rest of you ?

We are out tonight at a friend's for dinner which will be a challenge. My plan is to have small portions and no pudding. Also I am going to drink wine and soda instead of beer and wine. Not ideal but better than usual .

I have been to the gym today so hopefully that will give me a head start.

That sounds like a lovely day inarut . Getting out and about has got help .

I was doing well till both my girls were awake at 4am and I needed something for lunch so ordered the most amazing burger with cheese, bacon and onions on a toasted brioche bun.
Need to behave tomorrow.

Howlong enjoy your meal out with friends . One thing I will say is do not deprive yourself . I have been known to skip a good pudding and then felt so deprived later I ate everything around me . It’s a hard balance .

I made a lovely fruity chicken curry and rice . Thoroughly enjoyed it . Long eve ahead though lol . Think early to bed with Netflix

That burger sounds heavenly. Hope you enjoyed it and yes pull back a bit tomorrow

Hi! Hows everyone getting on? Like others i really struggle on a weekend, especially saturday night! I do a long day at work where im on my feet all day, have done just over 19,000 steps today. Usual day at work is between 10-13,000.

Sooooo im having a bit of a lenient dinner and not being quite so strict! Ive been thinking of changing my weigh day to saturday as its the one day of the week i struggle with and at least i have a week to correct the higher intake of calories!!!

How are you all losing the weight? Im using mfp and a fitbit. I did lose 4 stone with ww but have put just over a stone back on Blush

I'm aiming for a stone by Xmas too can I join, I bit the bullet and joining Slimming world am 10 days in. Starting weight 11st8.5 (im5ft6) first weigh in lost 3.5lb.
I'm just trying to add loads of veg to every meal. Had a few glasses of red wine last night, but have been eating really well.
Today I had tinned tomatoes, scrambled egg and whole meal toast (no butter) then had a really late lunch of chili with rice although I added grated carrot and courgrtte in the mix :)
I'm feeling really determined!

Morning all, my dinner last night was lovely but baked Camembert is definitely not ww friendly. I did manage to refuse pudding though so I guess that is something ......
Back on track today and I am going to try and get to the gym and compensate for last night!

I hope everyone else survived intact. The biggest thing for me is I didn't drink too much so at least I am not hungover and craving carbs today.

Can I join as well please? I'm 5ft 2 and 9 st 12. I was 9st 9 a couple of weeks back and aiming to get to 8 12 but appear to have gained 3 pounds rather than lost it. Awesome. I know I'm not loads overweight but I still look about 4 months pregnant (baby is 8 months) and really don't want to anymore. Just need to eat better and stop the bad snacks.... so hard though.

Okay so today is going to be very tough! My youngest had me up at 2:30am and still has not napped. I had two slices of toast and jam at 4am. Will have crackers for lunch and pasta from dinner. But feel I may snack on things.
