Ok I have not been in a good place and this week I divided to make changes in work and lifestyle. One day at a time . Slowly making little changes every day and slowly I can feel my mental health improving a tiny bit . I bit the bullet this morning and weighed in at 14st 1.5 lb .

Instead of berating myself I said I would start today in the food . The exercise I have started to tackle slowly .

So I just counted 11 weeks to Xmas and I would love to be 13 stone by then . Anyone fancy a buddy .

I’m nearly 50 with teenagers so I am not expecting to be svelte but would like to feel a bit healthier fitter and not like there iss a big tyre pushing into me when I strap my seat belt on .

Helloo. How are people doing? I've got 5 pounds left to lose for my Christmas goal. Rather chuffed I'm down 3.5 pounds at WW tonight.

Just a little note to say I have been feeling a little better mentally . Getting lots of walks in and am actually just eating well from choice. Stood on scales this morning and was down 2lbs . Gave me a real lift

Hope all are ok

Sorry to hear about struggles. Love watching I hope everything is ok now & note is good luck for the surgery x
I’m thrilled to say that since the 28th September I’ve lost 11.5lb. Doing Slimming World, so glad I joined and the anticipation of the weigh in each week has really helped me.
I’m sure Christmas is going to be too temptation filled though. In a rut I think a sparkly top and trousers sounds fab, if you feel comfortable you’ll be much more confident.

Hey all, just checking in after nearly a month of silence

I was away over half term on an 'all inclusive' holiday and, instead of losing the pound I was aiming for, gained 2.5... I thought I was well and truly scuppered for Christmas, but am back on track having lost 4.6lbs since my starting weight in mid-Oct (now 10st 6lbs with target of 10st).

I've discovered though, that I'm going to need surgery some time soon (wish I knew exactly when, the uncertainty is horrible) and I don't know whether I'll end up eating less through stress or binge eating. I won't be completely immobile after, but I won't be able to exercise for quite some time so I'll have to factor that in too.

Thankfully I haven't adopted a "fuck it, life's too short" attitude towards food just yet although the chocolate orange mini-bites took a hammering immediately after my diagnosis and I'm trying to stay positive for a healthy and thin Christmas Smile

Hope everyone else is doing ok, now that Christmas temptations are upon us...

Lovewatching i am sorry to hear that . I hope your little one is better .

I haven’t posted because I wasn’t feeling great mentally. Feel the fog is lifting today and more positive.

I’m not sure I will be a stone lighter for Christmas but if I can be smiling and somewhat content I won’t stress too much .

Decided this morning that I’m not going to try pouring myself into a dress for the Christmas parties and I’m going to pick a nice pair of trousers and a glitzy top and not worry .

Hope everyone else is doing ok .

Hi all, how are we getting on ?

Ok I’m keeping up my exercise regime thankfully and the more I do the healthier choices I find I am making . I have not weighed myself but I will on Saturday. I feel more toned if nothing else and feel a little better in my head .

I have a corridor in work that has a glass door at the end of it and you can see your silhouette in it . What I see I don’t like , a great big bear walking . I don’t ever think I look as bad but reflections and photos not good . Glad we doing this .

Love that’s a fantastic result so far .

I jam having my first overnight oats this morning for breakfast . They are a success and dd loves them too ,

Did an hour work out yesterday. Feeling a little low at moment so need to be really careful I don’t go for the rubbish . Exercise helps that way

Okay a quick check in. I started on the 1st October and today is the 1sr November. I started at 78.5kg and weigh in today was 75kg so a total of 3.5kg lost.

I have got a bit naughty and added biscuits and crisps back in my diet which I need to stop

Hey all sorry about the lbs on. I am home tonight . Least we all are conscious of what we are eating . I think though the snacks cause a lot of the problems . Anyway if we put our heads down we can do this . Still can lose a stone between now and the holidays

Hi all welcome newbies and hope your holiday is okay @Inarutneedhelp.

So I weighed myself today and have put in 1pound feeling a bit deflated so going to go on an extra long walk today to. Had a few blips with a cheeky yoghurt and snacks. Really need to rein myself back in.

Not having a lunch really , had a Greek yoghurt yesterday and am doing miles of walking and biking but I reckon the dinner and breakfast are too much . No desserts yet though so fingers crossed .

Hello everyone,
So my starting stats are 9 stone 7 and I am 5ft. My weight has fluctuated so I went up to 12.5 stone each time I was pregnant. My lowest (and best and happiest and briefest) was 8 stone. I have been both one of the largest in the exercise class and also one of the fittest at different points over the last ten years. I got to 8 stone by eating more (healthy food but large quantities) and exercising less but doing HIIT. For some bizarre reason I have never been able to recreate it and I sort of hope that Joe Wicks will help me get back to that life style. However I already eaten by breakfast (low carb oats) and my lunch (omelette) and its only 10am!!

Hi everyone - glad people came back, I was worried I had killed the thread with my ramblings....!

So the last time I weighed myself was Friday and I was 11 stone 1. So annoyed to be over 11 again - this is the heaviest I have been in about a year. In the end, the numbers don't really matter as what feels "right" for your body - and I find when I dance now, for example, I feel a bit lumber-y. I also get very sweaty during class and so just dance in a crop top. It was hilarious last night - the only other girl in class in just a crop top was this tiny nymph-like thing. I was like, "oh, honey".

I find with exercise I just need to put myself in a position where I don't think about it too much. I salute everyone on a body plan - I would never be able to get up in the morning knowing I was getting up early to exercise. But I can tell ya those exercises do work - i watched a wee bit of Joe once out of curiosity and what he was doing was very similar to a lunchtime class I used to do, which has sadly been cancelled now - but it really did make a difference to my body in that time, so go for it!

Otherwise, for me trying to rule out booze is a bit of a laughable venture so I am going to stick to sun-weds alcohol free. Looking forward to a few glasses of red tonight - when I've had a few days off I appreciate it. The same goes for eating out - there is no point in me trying not to do it,,
so I want it to be a treat after eating healthily the rest of the time and not waste calories on crap I most likely won't enjoy anyway. I've been making stuff to freeze at home so that I always have something to eat when home so I don't get tempted to order in crap.

Just got on the scales... No change but to be honest it would be a miracle if I had. So it is now just over8 weeks to Xmas so still very do able... to all sinners like me, let's kick ourselves up the bum now or else we won't achieve it. Lots of meals out planned therefore booze free month of nov, healthy diet at home, exercise and no starters nor puds if out... treat will be a main course, which I have little choice over as I am veggie. That should do it... 8 weeks to lose a stone and catch up to those who have done 11 weeks. I'm 9.6... Will be 8.6 before mother in law descends

I didn’t do well with the Joe Wicks, it just trained me to stop stepping on the scale and to eat more! Hope it works for you xx
I’m 4 weeks in and 7.5lb down and overall I’m happy but my loss has been slowing down, I need to exercise!
