Ok I have not been in a good place and this week I divided to make changes in work and lifestyle. One day at a time . Slowly making little changes every day and slowly I can feel my mental health improving a tiny bit . I bit the bullet this morning and weighed in at 14st 1.5 lb .

Instead of berating myself I said I would start today in the food . The exercise I have started to tackle slowly .

So I just counted 11 weeks to Xmas and I would love to be 13 stone by then . Anyone fancy a buddy .

I’m nearly 50 with teenagers so I am not expecting to be svelte but would like to feel a bit healthier fitter and not like there iss a big tyre pushing into me when I strap my seat belt on .

Lovewatching , sorry to hear about your tooth and also about your Lo in hospital . Hope you are both better now and relaxing today . Life does throw us some challenges .

I had no loss this week . Am disappointed as I was good and I did lots of walks but as I said I do feel better . Now big task ahead this week as I am heading off on a weeks holiday tonight. It’s going to be pretty active as in lots of walking . Food will hopefully not be a problem as I find I have a good breakfast and a snack at lunch and then a nice evening meal. We have said main courses only with perhaps 2 or 3 days we will have a dessert or an afternoon cake . The holiday was not planned but a last minute thing . At least I feel mentally well right now and am fitter than I was few weeks ago . How is everyone else getting on

Have a lovely holiday. I have been rubbish this week ... going out for a bike ride now and utterly resolved to do this as my jeans hurt! Yikes now 9 weeks to Xmas but still doable if I lose 1 -2 lbs a week. X

I joined WW just over a month ago and am delighted with results. My 2017 resolution was to lose weight. Doing it alone got me very little result. Intention was there but too many rewards of cakes etc when thought had a good day!!! Turns out once a week ok. Everyday. No!! Who knew. I'm nearly 50. Last time I lost weight was in my late 20s. With weightwatchers I already met and passed my Christmas goal of 13 stone. Now aiming for 12. Strict regime of ww points has meant even recent few days London visit I've kept on plan. About to weigh myself for first time since mini break.

Hurrah. My first trip away on WW and I lost 1/2 a pound. Usually gain about 1/2 a stone so very pleased with that. I don't feel restricted. I feel in control. Smile

Hey well done . If I manage that I too will be happy . I’m trying here to be good and so far so good . Had fruit yoghurt and granola ( small sprinkle ) for breakfast , egg sambo on whole grain for lunch with some walkers baked and a Diet Coke ( am on Hols after all ) .

Ww encourages you to look at the bits that are stopping the weight loss that you maybe over look. For example I thought I was doing well with my seeded wholemeal farm house bread. However 1 slice = 4 points and when you only get 30 points for the day that's a lot!!! I've switched to ww bread which is only 1 point a slice 🙂 I know most of it's air (don't squash it!) but it's tasty and one slice is enough to make soldiers for 2 boiled eggs. 🙂

Ps. I don't work for ww!

I’ve been doing sw half heartedly & lost 8lb in 8 weeks. Since last thurs I’ve been really rubbish and we are away this week so I’ll provably put half that back on. I have no social events on for the next 5 weeks when we are back and am giving up alcohol for the duration so want to try to shift a stone and be really on it. I’ve been faffing around all year so need to get my act together. I’m very easily swayed though.

Girlsworld that is fantastic weight loss if you only doing half heartedly. I would be thrilled with that

In a rut I’m doing SW too and have lost 6.5lb in 3 weeks, I have weigh in tomorrow (week 4) and I’m hoping to have lost another 2lb. I’ve drank alcohol every week and had the odd cupcake and other treats, but I’ve become much more aware of what I’m eating and massively upped my fruit & veg. I’m delighted so far, plus actually knowing that I have to go to group and weigh each week is a good motivator!

Plus I have a holiday at Xmas so I think that is a Motivating factor!

I celebrated by losing my first official
weightwatchers stone by binging on 2 danone light yogurts. Then went on to scoff 2 Tunnock's style Aldi caramel wafers, 1 bag of Teddy faces and ....... a bag of Santa Babies I had put away for Ds for Christmas Blush Blush Blush

Blimming Santa Babies were 30 points in themselves. That's a whole day's points!! In one little bag.

Hello - do you mind if I join?

I'm not sure of my exact weight right now but I know I have about a stone to lose.

I was doing so well over the summer and then BAM - I fell headfirst into autumn with lots of meals out & booze as everyone came back from the summer break. It just goes straight on and sticks 'cos i'm not in my early twenties any more.

Plus - my socializing now revolves around nice dinners and not raving for five hours tops. Although I used to party more, I think on balance I used to drink less because I was too busy dancing.

I also just love stuffing my face. Thankfully cake I can say no to - but crisps are just a DISASTER.

Excuse my monologue. Today so far has been small portion porridge with goji berries and seeds followed by small bread roll with one of those cubes of cream cheese, salad and a wee bit of pasta salad. Not great but my work canteen mainly caters for huge hulking men.

Have a dance class later on.

Hope your days are going well.

Hello, Can I join too? I am technically on day three of my 90 days with Joe Wicks and the body coach. But I have been really rubbish and not really started -I haven't actually done any exercise yet and my diet has been sketchy. What I will say is that today I spent a few hours prepping food for the rest of the week and have got a some time to do some exercise tomorrow...if I could just get up off the sofa!! Not at this precise minute. Its 11.08pm so I really should be in bed!!

I didn’t do well with the Joe Wicks, it just trained me to stop stepping on the scale and to eat more! Hope it works for you xx
I’m 4 weeks in and 7.5lb down and overall I’m happy but my loss has been slowing down, I need to exercise!

Just got on the scales... No change but to be honest it would be a miracle if I had. So it is now just over8 weeks to Xmas so still very do able... to all sinners like me, let's kick ourselves up the bum now or else we won't achieve it. Lots of meals out planned therefore booze free month of nov, healthy diet at home, exercise and no starters nor puds if out... treat will be a main course, which I have little choice over as I am veggie. That should do it... 8 weeks to lose a stone and catch up to those who have done 11 weeks. I'm 9.6... Will be 8.6 before mother in law descends

Hi everyone - glad people came back, I was worried I had killed the thread with my ramblings....!

So the last time I weighed myself was Friday and I was 11 stone 1. So annoyed to be over 11 again - this is the heaviest I have been in about a year. In the end, the numbers don't really matter as what feels "right" for your body - and I find when I dance now, for example, I feel a bit lumber-y. I also get very sweaty during class and so just dance in a crop top. It was hilarious last night - the only other girl in class in just a crop top was this tiny nymph-like thing. I was like, "oh, honey".

I find with exercise I just need to put myself in a position where I don't think about it too much. I salute everyone on a body plan - I would never be able to get up in the morning knowing I was getting up early to exercise. But I can tell ya those exercises do work - i watched a wee bit of Joe once out of curiosity and what he was doing was very similar to a lunchtime class I used to do, which has sadly been cancelled now - but it really did make a difference to my body in that time, so go for it!

Otherwise, for me trying to rule out booze is a bit of a laughable venture so I am going to stick to sun-weds alcohol free. Looking forward to a few glasses of red tonight - when I've had a few days off I appreciate it. The same goes for eating out - there is no point in me trying not to do it,,
so I want it to be a treat after eating healthily the rest of the time and not waste calories on crap I most likely won't enjoy anyway. I've been making stuff to freeze at home so that I always have something to eat when home so I don't get tempted to order in crap.

Hello everyone,
So my starting stats are 9 stone 7 and I am 5ft. My weight has fluctuated so I went up to 12.5 stone each time I was pregnant. My lowest (and best and happiest and briefest) was 8 stone. I have been both one of the largest in the exercise class and also one of the fittest at different points over the last ten years. I got to 8 stone by eating more (healthy food but large quantities) and exercising less but doing HIIT. For some bizarre reason I have never been able to recreate it and I sort of hope that Joe Wicks will help me get back to that life style. However I already eaten by breakfast (low carb oats) and my lunch (omelette) and its only 10am!!

Hi all just a check in really . I must look up joe wicks never heard of him . Holiday is going well but I’ll be honest I’m struggling now food wise . Not having a lunch really , had a Greek yoghurt yesterday and am doing miles of walking and biking but I reckon the dinner and breakfast are too much . No desserts yet though so fingers crossed .
Have a good weekend all

Hi all welcome newbies and hope your holiday is okay @Inarutneedhelp.

So I weighed myself today and have put in 1pound feeling a bit deflated so going to go on an extra long walk today to. Had a few blips with a cheeky yoghurt and snacks. Really need to rein myself back in.

I got on the scales this morning and ditto... pound on, but I also know I deserve it. If i don't want another on next week I need to get a grip. Really is making me sad but only I can sort. X

Hey all sorry about the lbs on. I am home tonight . Least we all are conscious of what we are eating . I think though the snacks cause a lot of the problems . Anyway if we put our heads down we can do this . Still can lose a stone between now and the holidays
