Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

I am no AAM week this week and have af which is a lot worse than usual I have just been eating chicken and girkins this week i love them!

Honey I would strongly recommened that you do not buy the products from ebay as i have read that there are a lot of fake packs being sold on there as well as out of date item! Also you will find that it is cheaper to buy it from your CDC !

luciemule · 26/04/2007 09:03

sorry about ebay info then honey28 - i had just read that quite a few people did buy them from there but sorry for dud info- if they're out of date - not good.
Michaelad - i bet if you're good today, you'll be into ketosis - can't think why you wouldn't be if you haven't cheated. are you drinking plenty?

michaelad · 26/04/2007 09:09

Well, suppose I could try and drink more. Does that affect it much? Did check distance to Hever Castle on Google map, btw. It does says almost two hours from where you are How's you this morning?

joash · 26/04/2007 09:19

Thanks hercules for your question re' the type of coke. Yes it was diet coke and I had completely forgotten about the citric acid thing. ooops

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 26/04/2007 09:23

It took me till last night to get back into Ketosis since Sunday !

michaelad · 26/04/2007 09:28

So, it's not just me...that's good to know, tlsm. Btw, have you posted the tops yet?

honey28 · 26/04/2007 15:29

Thanks for the reply Luciemule. HOw much does it cost to buy from a counsellor and do you have to meet up with them on a regular basis - I'd prefer to do it alone.

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 26/04/2007 16:08

Hi Honey, my CDC charges £40 for the introduction session and then £33.50p per week if you are 5'8 or 344.50p if you are over 5'8 you can go as often as once a week for or you can buy from her/him in bulk hope that helps x

Michaelad i shall be posting them out tomorrow (as its my only day off in the week)

screaminghabdabs · 26/04/2007 19:38

Hello everyone. Well done on all your losses this week. On my 3rd weigh in I've lost 4lbs which after last week's big loss was a bit disappointing but still makes a grand total of nearly 1 1/2 stone which I'm thrilled about. I'm still freezing, got a headache and desperate to eat something savoury but can finally fling out my manky maternity bra so it's been worth it just for that.

Any ideas for a savoury option? The soups are a definite no-no.... My CDC sells a bovril like substance but it cost £6.50 for a small pot. Has anyone tried this or can I just use proper Bovril???

luckylady74 · 27/04/2007 15:06

hi everyone, hope you don't mind me jumping on. i've got my packets and i'm starting tomorrow. i'm feeling really nervous and i haven't told anybody. i'm worried about being grumpy with the kids because i'll feel unwell - has anybody found this?
i celebrated 10 years with dh last week and realised that i was 3 stone heavier (1 for each child) and i certainly didn't feel thin then! so hopefully i've got the willpower to do this. it's been really inspiring to read about everyone on here and i hope i've got good news to report next week.

luciemule · 27/04/2007 16:02

Hi Luckylady74 - good luck with starting and I'm sure you won't feel that bad - once you're used to the feeling of being in ketosis, it'll be fine - just drink lots of extra water when you're feeling sick/cramps etc (not that you'll definitely get them.Just think of all of the lvoely new outfits you can buy once you start losing.
I found it very easy to just stay bigger and keep on eating due to tiredness and boredom but then I thought that I didn't want to be like that for the rest of my life so made a stand and decided to do something about it. You'll be fine. It's good that you're starting at the weekend so your DH is there too and you don't have to get up for school etc.

hercules1 · 27/04/2007 17:57

4th weigh in and just lots another 1lb, yes, 1. I guess it's because I am just starting af and had a tiny bit of chocolate cake. Still, I am struggling now in the mornings to find clothes that I can wear. It used to be a struggle to find clothes I could fit into! Now my trousers are hanging off me.

I am going to start aam this week so very excited!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 28/04/2007 09:30

has a crap couple of days my DS was taken into hospital due to croop and so I ate loads yesterday have finished AAM week and am on AF so I would imagine my next weigh in will be terrible hayho today is a new day back to SS !

luckylady74 · 28/04/2007 15:06

hi everyone - had my first shake this morning - fine, but could not believe how many times i automatically went to put the kid's leftovers in my mouth - hopefully doing this will break me of this habit.
i found the spicy tomato soup ok, but a bit strong - not the spice just too stong a flavour - does anyone water them down?
poor little soldier and his mummy - hope all is getting better there. my stress about my ds1's special needs led to a lot of comfort eating.

hercules1 · 28/04/2007 15:44

Yes, I find that for the first week that I automatically eat when I dont need to. It soon went and I cant remember now at the end of week 3 when I almost did it. I enjoyed the shakes for the first week or so but have stuck to shakes and bars since.

Bought some stuff for aam this week.

My tesco bill hasnt actually gone done at all

gtimama · 30/04/2007 14:52

Hi - everyone I just had my weigh-in today.
Another 8 llb - fantastic.

1st week - 7 llb
2nd week - 7 llb
3rd week - 1 llb - birthday weekend!
4th week - 0 - went camping
5th week - 3 3/4 llb
6th week - 8 llb

And that's with having some bacon and chicken and the occasional prawn!!

Not bad eh?

Must keep going, got so much to lose.

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 30/04/2007 14:57

right.. I've got my sachets.. had them for weeks in fact.. but how to get my head into the right place to actually start?

I've done it before so I know the drill.. I just can't seem to motivate myself to do it and i'm really getting frustrated and annoyed at myself

gtimama · 30/04/2007 19:03

Where is everyone? - C'mon someone tell me well done! I've got no-one to share with over the age of 14 only you lot!!

michaelad · 30/04/2007 19:11

Well done Gtmama !
I'll have my next weigh in tomorrow and I know I've lost although probably not as much as I could have due to snacking on some fruit and sausages over the last couple of days. I'm totally with you

gtimama · 30/04/2007 19:46

Thank you so much. I thought everyone had gone off somewhere else!

It was really hard yesterday 'cos I went to the local Sunday market with my mum over the lunch-time period. The smell of burgers and hotdogs was overpowering! Mum got hungry and I thought OH NO. I couldn't sit down with her and not eat anything so I had 2 rashers of bacon and a bottle of water, which I thought was very disciplined of me.

My Advisor says that if you can't do without food, make sure its protein. Seems to be working so far. Trouble is I could quite easily sit down and eat a whole chicken, but I don't think she meant that!!

luckylady74 · 30/04/2007 21:08

hi all - i'm only on day 3 and it's all fine, but i have quite a swollen stomach - it's not uncomfortable, but i was expecting it to shrink - anyone else had this?
well done gtimama - very motivating
sugar coated - short term goal - have you got some outing to aim for?

luciemule · 30/04/2007 21:43

luckylady74 are you drinking enough water as it might be water retention? My stomach was the first thing to noticeably flatten so if you're sole sourcing, I'd have thought it would shrink (unless you're due AF).
I had a bad day yesterday - DH now home and it was his B'day so cooked a roast lunch for PILS with homemade banoffi pie for dessert. Well, I had a small portion of meat and green beg, followed by continual small pieces of banoffi pie, packet of crisps, roast potato and more banoffi pie! Hence I was extremely ill througout the night and had to lay flat on my back, holding down the sick! I wasn't sick but if I'd felt well enough to get to the bathroom, I'd have made myself sick. So today, I've been very good and will never eat banoffi pie in my life ever, ever again, ever, ever!
ps - everyone else is doing really well - I feel very guilty reading your posts that I haven't been so good!

misdee · 30/04/2007 21:46

hi

had bad day yesterday, took the family for dinner at inlaws and ended up eating lots of chicken and green veggies, then some mashed AND roast potatoes. have kicked myself out of ketosis, so am trying to be really really good, but WI is on wednesday, so will have to fess up.

luckylady74 · 30/04/2007 21:50

thanks - yes i think i am drinking enough - todasy i had 4 pints water, 3 black cofees and a coke zero plus my 3 sachets - wonder if i'm a bit constipated - lovely

luciemule · 30/04/2007 21:52

do you have any fibre 89 from counsellor?
The water should help if you're constipated though. I do have the odd date/prune/apricot though so I guess that's why no constipation. In fact, I was more constipated before starting the diet.
