Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

crap I was sure I read I could have mushrooms on aam but your right you cant although the quorn is ok well I have decided I will not weight myself at all during AAM week as it will depress me! My CDC is away so I miss my weigh in on Tuesday so I will wait until next week and hopefully it will be ok!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 21/04/2007 10:44

As the weight thing has upset me my DH said why dont we measure you as we havent done that since the start and I have lost 17 inches of my body in 4 weeks which I am very happy about!

bendigoblue · 21/04/2007 12:47

I have mushrooms on AAM and it's never done me any harm. All I have is chicken and a few mushrooms and my losses for both AAM weeks I've had were the same as the other weeks tbh.

Try not to scale hop if you can resist, our weight fluctuates so much on this diet if you nip on one day and they are stuck or have even gone up, you'll get disheartened and that might make you want to cheat (I know it does me!). Chances are any extra weight is water anyway, you'll still have lost inches.

hercules1 · 21/04/2007 13:43

Hi all. Know what you mean about the cold - had the heating on a few times this week.

3rd weigh in today and lost 6lbs so that's 15lbs in 3 weeks on this diet

I have been tempted so many times to give up this week but this has spurned me onwards.
I got 7 bars as I really prefer them but my cdc had no tetra bricks for me to take to work so I'll need to take bars in then have to have shake in the evening. I really liked having the bar to look forward to

Well done for all the inches littlesoldiers mummy

misdee · 21/04/2007 18:31

i am really looking forward to weigh in on wednesday. am feeling so much more confident about this than when i did LL almost 2yrs ago.

definatly dont like the soups.

michaelad · 21/04/2007 18:52

tlsm, are you the one selling the 12-18 months clothes? My ginormous 22 month old is already in 18-24..

God, I'm struggling so much at the moment (even after the huge relief of not being pregnant). Really want to lose the weight but find it soo hard to not eat the slightest bit. How do you taste food for the family etc. ?
lucie you did (do) cheat quite a bit, didn't you..and still lost although at a slower rate, didn't you?

michaelad · 21/04/2007 18:53

And apart from the freezing, how on earth do you know whether you're in Ketosis or not? I find it impossible to get hold of Ketostix to check..all the supermarkets and pharmacies in the area do not seem to stock it.

hercules1 · 21/04/2007 19:04

Freeing must be a good sign also not feeling hungry and horrible taste in your mouth.

michaelad · 21/04/2007 20:01

Does anyone of you actually use the sticks to check at all or do you all just hope you're in Ketosis, iykwim

misdee · 21/04/2007 21:23

not us9ing sticks at all.

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 21/04/2007 21:52

Hiya I use the stixs it reasures me if I have cheated a tad also I never suffered any of the side effects so I wanted to make sure - Your cdc can get you the stixs they can order them from head office just ask them or failing that you can get them on the internet!

luciemule · 21/04/2007 23:17

Hello everyone - I use Ketostix when I know I've cheated as seeing the first beige square makes me feel very guilty and then I decide to myself that I want it to be pink!
I've been cheating big time today and yesterday Michaelad. Nearly a whole bar of dark chocolate and I seem to have acquired a real craving for peanut better (and I certainly can't be pregnant as no DH here for 5 months!). I keep going to the jar and dipping a spoon in. I know it's really naughty but I just can't help it. Back on the wagon tomorrow though a the stix was beige a minute ago. Yes, I am still losing but could be a lot cheaper if I did it properly as I would be well onto maintenance by now had I not cheated. I guess I like food too much but needed something very disciplined to help me lose weight and which involved food as little as possible. We shall see.
Well done everyone for your recent losses - hard to name everyone now as there are so many of us. I wouldn't have stuck to it at all had I not started reading these threads though.

fussymummy · 22/04/2007 00:14

I'm sure my cdc has ketostix to buy.

I found that when i got the shivers i'd have all my shakes hot, just to warm me up a bit!

I also got really grumpy!

I've had so many bad days these last two weeks that i've decided to restart the diet and avoid food completely.

That's the plan anyway, so i just hope i can stick to it.

I'm also finding it hard to believe that i've lost weight and gone down by 3 clothes sizes.

I've gone into shops and picked up my old size and tried it on not and not been able to work out why its so big for me!!!!

One day i'm hoping my brain will work properly!!!!!

Well done to everyone and keep it up, hope you're all doing better than i am this week!!!

hercules1 · 22/04/2007 19:15

Well I cheated for teh first time today but I did make sure it was something vile - s mini cocktail sausage. And it was vile.

However I am still in ketosis.

I've been sooo cold today - thick fleece.

mustrunmore · 22/04/2007 19:28

Hello! I've just been pointed in this direction, thanks I've only scan read as its quite a long thread already, but it does seem phenomenal! I'm really going to look into this. I'm guessing you have to join a group to buy products kind of thing? If so, and if there's one by me, could I go every other week? I cant do anything weekly, due to dh's shifts, unless I drag a toddler and a baby with me

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 22/04/2007 20:16

Hi Mustrunmore if you look on the cambridge diet website

here

You just need to click which region you are in and it will come up with a list of CDC in your area also you can go every other week you just discuss it with your CDC.

Good luck it is a good diet but you HAVE to stick to it!!

Speaking of that I cheated today its seems I cant stop myself at the weekends but hayo I will start again tomorrow although I have knocked myself out of ketosis!!! and I am on AAM week so I cant believe I could wait till this evening! I thinks its becasue I know I am not having a weight in this week as my CDC is away I can be such an idiot but tomorrow is another day and I do so much better at work! and I have now started swimming so should help!

michaelad · 23/04/2007 09:21

Tlsm, same problem here..weekends are by far the worst. Especially if we're going out for the day. Went to Hever Castle yesterday and had no way of taking shakes (hate the tetra briks)so ended up munching on celery, sugar snap peas and chicken again .
But tbh, even if I only lose 2lbs a week, that is still a good enough result for me. And since I do quite like the shakes this will probably still work for me. Albeit at a much slower rate than anyone else. But as long as the pounds still drop off, I could not care less .
Next weigh in tomorrow evening, so will let you know!

michaelad · 23/04/2007 09:22

Munstrun, my CD counsellor comes to me! Ask yours if that would be a possibility!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 23/04/2007 09:39

Was swimming at 7.00 this morning feel really good think i will do well this week as I am on AAm week and so wont feel so deprived!

Even if my weight lose is low I am happy I have started swimming again! 30 lenghts

My CDC is away this week so having my weigh in at Tesco's as they have a proper machine but its not till tomorrow night.

I am on my 3rd ltr of water this morning I want to have drunk 5ltrs by lunch time!

fussymummy · 23/04/2007 10:59

Just been for weigh in after two weeks of being a complete pig and scoffing chocolate and more chocolate and then some!!!!
And eating mostly normal meals and hardly and diet products.
I just lost the plot!!!! (my depression has been bad!and my way of coping was to eat, big time!!!)

And i was so surprised to find that i only put on 2.5lb!!!!

Back on track now, i think!!!!!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 23/04/2007 11:12

Fussymummy there is a good thread on minimins to help people get back on track to sole sourcing worth ago if your finding hard

link

Good luck x

luciemule · 23/04/2007 12:02

Don't worry Fussymummy - at least you know it doesn't take long to get back into ketosis - don't worry about eating when you're feeling low - I know that's a trigger problem with most people but if it makes you feel less depressed, I wouldn't worry too much. Could you treat yourself with treatments/cinema/new clothes etc when you stay on track?
Michaelad - sorry to get off track (as I often do) but would you recommend Hever Castle?
After a weekend of cheating, I'm back onto Sole Source this week - got to make it look as if I am being good for tomorrow when DH gets back! I did chuck the new jar of peanut butter in the bin (right down deep so I wouldn't be tempted to retrieve it again)this morning. It was starting to rule my life .
Good luck everyone this week!

michaelad · 23/04/2007 12:17

Hi Lucie, yes I can most definitely recommend Hever castle! Love it! Gorgeous grounds, ideal for picnics, 3 different types of mazes (including a water maze which is a firm favourite with children). Castle itself is nice (no access for buggies but your dc don't need them anymore). Go at some point in the summer and I'm sure you'll love it too!
link

Would make a great place to meet up too!

michaelad · 23/04/2007 12:21

fussy, just take every day as it comes. Don't beat yourself up! I also tend to eat to make me feel better about myself and life in general. And tbh, if the only way I can stick to this is by trying to be good but allowing myself to "flake" from time to time, then so be it! You will still lose weight and inches!!

Don't give up...we're all here for each other!
Just focus on our big meetup at some point with a nice meal and a good few drinks!

hercules1 · 23/04/2007 18:48

Cheated again today on a small sliver of chocolate cake. ANd a small bit of white fish from a fish pie - a little mouthful.

I am so missing food and having to eat a bar at lunch rather than in the evenign doesnt help. Nothing to look forward to and not able to do anything with the bar apart from eat it straight.
