Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

it wasn't frozen foods, it was "Farm foods"! Should be a store near you!

Oh wow - yes- yummy, scrummy but I really shouldn't have looked!!!
Woke up this moring and thought the bits of hair at the side of my temples were looking thinner and think my hair might have stopped growing! TBH I had it cut over 6 weeks ago and I did think the length looks roughly the same. I'm a bit worried more patches might appear so am considering stopping the diet. Has anyone else found this happening and what did you do?
Also, my counsellor doesn't really counsel me - she weighs and measures me but then I'm gone in about 5/10 mins and she doesn't really have any things to say about stopping cravings etc.

honey28 · 10/05/2007 22:59

I've managed to stick to my first day on CD after many fits and starts. I'm pleased with myself for doing it, I found that I could stomach the vanilla shakes, and used lucie's tip about focussing on something and downing it!
I'm not sure if its allowed but I put some of the soups that I got from ebay for sale on the for sale board as they were the flavours I didn't like. Going to try it for a few days and if I can stick it then ring a counsellor.

SpookyMadMummy · 11/05/2007 16:25

Ok I am definitely joining you![if you will have me]
I have my appointment with my counsellor on sunday afternoon!

misdee · 11/05/2007 16:27

down 3lb s far since wednesday morning scales not moving. hopeing to shift another couple before next weigh in.

luciemule · 12/05/2007 22:05

oh whoops - I've really failed this weekend! I've been eating a small amount of carbs and healthy salad for tea. Had pizza on Friday night, which I had made with the kids and it was really yummy (even though I don't normally like pizza) and then today, I ate a scrummy burger in a roll at the school fair! It was the nicest tasting burger I'd ever had. What am I doing.
I've pretty much given up thinking I'll continue much more than a couple of weeks but must really alter the way I ate (a lot less carbs than previously) and way more exercise in order to keep the weight off. However, I've almost lost 2 stone and that's the majority of my excess weight and I'm the weight I was before I had my kids and when I got married and I looked ok on my wedding day! I still will try to lose the extra stone and perhaps have cambridge for brekkie and lunch and a weight watchers recipe for tea. Will try hard from tomorrow to soul source again. Just had to report as I feel soooooo guilty! Oh yes - add a small packet of Maltesers to that list too!

misdee · 13/05/2007 00:25

well, my jeans fell down today. fortunatly i was at home at the time

am also wearing a cup size and one back size smaller bra.

luciemule · 13/05/2007 09:34

Hi Misdee - it's great when your jeans start falling down! Although the bra thing is really getting to me and I know someone else who's just booked a boob job after this diet.

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 09:44

Misdee, that's brill news about your jeans and bra! I'm just starting AAM week today for the first time but worried that cottage cheese and a morsel of chicken isn't going to hit the spot.... Why can't pizza be part of it! I'm craving cheese in a big way. 4 weeks in and I've lost almost 2 stone so can see a difference but I'm completely bored with sweet flavours. Fingers crossed the lettuce helps! Hope everyone has a succesful week X

luciemule · 13/05/2007 09:47

Hi screaminghabdabs - for me, being anle to go to the fridge and pick some crunchy lettuce did make a difference, although now, it's gone a bit too far (see my earlier post!). Good luck on your add a meal. I used to put kids to bed and then savour it on my own.

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 10:30

Lucie,I've been cheating and picking bits of food too. Nibbles of cheese etc. BUT it's only when I'm fed up or stresed. Luckily it hasn't booted me out of Ketosis YET, but I'm sure the more I push it, it's just waiting to happen. I think I also have an unhealthy relationship with food based around my emotions, when I'm down, I want to eat, celebrate, I want a special meal. It's probably really common but in my case, I just don't know when to stop! You've done really well so far, the last push definitely sounds be the hardest. I'm sure you'll get there though X

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 10:32

Lucie, I forgot to ask, does the amount of water that you drink affect weight loss? This week I've been a bit slack with the whole water thing, probably because I'm so cold and only lost 3 1/2 lbs. CDC said I'd plateaued and that AAM would sort it out. Has this been your experience too?

misdee · 13/05/2007 11:12

wednesday is my 4th weigh in, do i start add a mean week then? [scared]

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 12:17

Hi Misdee, I was told that after 4 weeks I should go on AAM for a week, but that it wasn't compulsory, just adviseable. You're a few days ahead of me, I think and from what I've gathered we have similar amounts to shift! (Plus, I think we live nearby too!)

My first CDC who wasn't very good, told me to skip it to shift the weight quicker but this one says it's best to do it like this otherwise your body thinks it's never going to eat again and starts retaining the fat to store which kinda makes sense. Is this what everyone else has been told? I'm looking forward to eating solid food for a few days now!

misdee · 13/05/2007 13:07

i'm in herts, are you?

AAM is compulsory unl;ess your doc says its ok not to. looking forward to it, but am hoping it wont make me munch too much.

i had 6 stone to lose, now got 5stone to shift. i didnt lose anything last week, but my scales are showing a 4lb loss so far this week. so hopefully by wednesday will be 5lb+ off.

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 13:15

Hi, I'm in Harrow but spend a lot of time in and around Herts. I started with 6 stone to lose and now have 4 which I can't believe althought the loss does seem to have slowed down a bit. Can't wait to buy some new clothes!

luciemule · 13/05/2007 13:19

screaminghabdabs - misdee is right - apart from very obese people, where they get doctors consetn I think, you shouldn't skip aam as you need the protein especailly to keep building muscle - or you'll end like the Scott of the Antarctic! You don't want to lose muscle from around your heart which is why you should pretty much follow what it says. If you've cheated though and haven't been in ketosis, it's not the same as you're body is burning your carbs rather than your fat store. One week, I hadn't been in ketosis properly when aam arrived so she said to have one more soul source week then do aam, which I did.
Try lots of hot drinks - like tea/red bush/decaf coffee etc if you get cold. I think that's the one main reason I always start eating again - I just hate being cold. Hot drinks are a source of comfort too so if you feel like picking, have a hot drink first and the craving will dispearse.....hopefully!

luciemule · 13/05/2007 13:20

Forgot to say - I think it does get much harder to lose as you get lower as your body knows there's not as much there to lose and you're more like the weight you should be.

misdee · 13/05/2007 13:24

i have a protein meal once a week, so not sure if i need AAM, but will do it anyway. will need to go shopping, wil ldo it online.

i had my protein meal on thursday instead of today as tesco delivered a chicken wednesday night which had to be cooked on thursday

so tonight the family have got sausage casserole instead of roast dinner.

screaminghabdabs · 13/05/2007 13:25

Thanks Lucie. I'll try having more hot drinks. I've got a killer of a headache today so I'm probably a bit dehydrated. Hope your Wednesday weigh-in is a good one Misdee!

luciemule · 13/05/2007 13:35

also screamninghabdabs - you asked how much water I drank and the answer is a lot! I start in the morning by having glass at brekkie, then refill it pretty constantly through the day so I probably drink 14/16 1/2 pint glasses a day but that's not including hot drinks of which I have loads (about 6/7). Someone further down said if you cheat just drink lots of water and it'll be fine - -I haven't found that though. As long as your wee is pale yellow and not straw coloured you won't be dehydrated. I always have a glass of water on waking usually too as I always feel very dehydrated in the mornings.

SpookyMadMummy · 13/05/2007 17:01

Just got back from my counsellor.... I start tomorrow!!!

luciemule · 13/05/2007 20:53
