Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

I've a bad couple of weeks, missed last week's weigh in, so am off in a moment for a wrist slapping from my counsellor . I think I've still lost since my last weigh-in three weeks ago, but a couple of pounds in three weeks is pretty rubbish really.
Willl check back in later for some commiserations and a boot up the bum

luciemule · 04/05/2007 10:07

Well done everybody for sticking to it this week. It is really hard when you fall off the wagon but we must be very strong and really want this as we jump back on and carry on.
I put on 4 lbs this week but did cook roast for DH's birthdaqy and went to Bath on Tuesday overnight and couldn't resist a nice meal with DH. I did roughly stick to no carbs etc though. However, I did lose 4 inches this week so although the weight went back up, the measurements were still good. Good luck for this week.

ShrinkingViolet · 04/05/2007 12:50

well, could have been worse - pound and a half off, but I've lost nine inches since I started, and i'm now going back every week to keep myself motivated.
Will stay focused and drink the sodding water...

bendigoblue · 04/05/2007 15:32

Speaking of measurements, my CDC did my waist measurement the other day, i've lost 17 inches from my waist alone

luciemule · 04/05/2007 18:21

Wow, Bendigo that's so good and means your heart will be a lot healthier too. I was worried that my waist measurement was creeping up and feel much happier now it's decreased so much. How much further have you got to go - it can't be much now?

bendigoblue · 04/05/2007 19:29

3 stone to go to BMI 24.5. Might stick there, might go onto SW or WW to lose a wee bit more, haven't decided yet.

luckylady74 · 04/05/2007 20:13

had my first week weigh in this afternoon - 8 lbs - so i'm pleased. can't get out of sunday lunch with inlaws - if i have meat and salad should i have any shake or anything during the rest of the day? so impressed by all the other weight loss - feel like i'm at the start of a long road.

michaelad · 05/05/2007 18:32

I'm so frustrated. My AAM week has completely gone to pot! I have measured things but have continued to put on weight which freaks me out. Also, I have noticed in the last few days that I am not ready to re-introduce food on a daily basis yet. Doing that just seems to trigger wanting to eat more..so from tomorrow morning onwards I'm just going back to SS and I will have a good long chat with my counsellor next time I see her. Which will be sometime next week..

I makes me soo sad that I just can't seem to handle food..

luciemule · 05/05/2007 20:17

Hi Michaelad - you sound down. Don't be sad - it sounds exactly like me in my second AAM week. I didn't feel ready to face food again either and my counsellor did tell me to carry on for another week.
Don't worry about the weight thing - if you're measurements are exact (and mine never were that spot on), I'm sure your body will catch up in a week or so.
I just keep thinking that I'm probably now more obsessed with food (especially sweet things) than I was before. I'm sure it's because we're not supposed to eat anything and once we can eat three 'proper food' meals a day, we'll be fine. Not being allowed something seems to make me want it more! I long to have a small bowl of prroidge/museli for brekkie, a tuna/salad sandwich or wrap for lunch and a protein type meal with veggies for tea. To me that sounds pretty sensible and would be a lot less cals than I'm cheating with at the moment! I think I ight try and get the Paul McKenna book/cd to try and curb my cravings - they're full on all the time now and not just AF weeks. I feel bloated this week and I'm sure it's because I've started slipping in a few carby things here and there (brioche/chocolate sticks you dunk in coffee and other such sinful stuff!).
Anyway - carry on Michaelad - you can do it and so can I..

misdee · 05/05/2007 20:21

do you lot admit to your CDEC when you slip a bit? i feel like a naughty schoolgirl.

i am looking forward to my sliver of chicken breast tomorrow with brocolli and cauliflower. it has helped me keep on the track better this last few days, exceopt yesterday i got held up at the hospital and had to eat there as didnt have a tetra with me. i felt al lweird and light headed so had to eat, it had been over 6hours since i;d had half a pack. there was no way i was driving on the m25 in that state.

luciemule · 05/05/2007 20:27

Hi Misdee - I always end up telling my diet counsellor and I always feel like a naughty school girl, especially as she kind of tells me off! But I reckon it's good to admit when you cheat as it makes you not want to cheat again. They know when you cheat as the scales don't lie!
Good for you by eating something instead of driving onto the M25 starving. You never know with the M25, you could have been there all night and still not have eaten anything! Then where would you be?!

misdee · 05/05/2007 20:28

well i knew it would be longer than normal as it was friday afternoon at the start of bank holiday. it took twice as long to get home compared to normal.

luciemule · 05/05/2007 20:35

what did you eat?

hercules1 · 05/05/2007 20:57

Lost 1/2 a stone this week!

Bit annoyed with my cdc as for the last two weeks she's only had two types of bars and didnt want to sell me 7, only 6 as she didnt have many of those! She would also only sell me 3 tetras as she said she needed them for others. She's really nice but when this is all your eating it would be nice to be able to have some sort of variety!

misdee · 05/05/2007 21:00

i had battered fish and salad (wasnt very nice took as much batter off as possible) and some diet coke. they didnt have any coke zero.

my CDc dioesnt seem to stock all the flavours, would love to try choc mint.

i havent moved onto the bars yet, am too worried i would scoff the lot.

is there anything we can use as salad dressing for AAm weeks? or something to spice things up a bit. i have another week and half before my AAM week, am panicing slightly in case i cant stop eating.

luciemule · 05/05/2007 21:33

That's not good your counsellors not stocking what you want. Mine orders a box of choc/mint each week as she knows that's what i'll want.
Well done Hercules 1 for losing 7 lbs - that's brill!
Misdee - you're allowed as much fat fre dressing as you like on AAM I think. As long as it's 3% fat or below. I've got Tesco Oil Free Healthy Living French Dressing (less than 1% fat) and I'm addicted. My meals now (I'm doing 790 as I'm at BMI24. something) mainly consist of quorn chicken style pieces on a bed of lettuce with a dollop of cottage cheese and chunks of cucumber - all coated in dressing. I am truely addicted to Quorn in every form! I'm also now allowed a portion of salmon, whole breast of chicken, tub of cottage cheese etc so it's making a big difference. I just need to be good again throughout the day and to stop picking!

misdee · 05/05/2007 21:38

the thought of cottage cheese turns my stomach, have never actually tried it though

luciemule · 05/05/2007 22:11

oh - it's yummy. I do love the cottage cheese and pineapple one best but as we're not supposed to have pineapple, I chop celery into it! I could just a tub with a spoon on its own. You really should try it as it's so low fat and loads of protein.

misdee · 05/05/2007 22:20

it just doesnt look that nice

i am funny with textures, its terrible.

LeBe · 06/05/2007 20:39

Hi sorry to butt in on your thread but Hercules told me about this thread and the diet and im really interested but have no idea on what to do or where to go??

luciemule · 07/05/2007 09:52

Hi LeBe - Have a look at www.cambridgediet.co.uk and look for a counsellor in your area. Then give one a ring. Most have you around to their house, explain the diet and give you a weeks worth of shakes. You do the sole source for 4 weeks (no food other than shakes) then add a meal for a week and so on until you're down to your target weight. It depends how much you want to lose and how quickly as to which diet plan you choose. For example, my counsellor lost 4 stone by doing the 790 calories plan but I guess it took longer. You go for weekly weigh ins and measuring ususally and then they give you the next weeks packs.

LeBe · 07/05/2007 11:01

Thankyou I will have a look. Oh and by the way ive read all your pots i can not believe the amount of weight you've all lost! Well done!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 08/05/2007 09:15

Well I have had a crap week really so dreading my weigh in as i am sure I will have put on weight!

I am back on it todat and more positive now that my little angel is better x

luciemule · 08/05/2007 09:21

Good for you TLSM - I felt so guilty as I'd had a really crap 2 weeks but today - now that DH has gone back to Afghanistan, I feel that I can concentrate my efforts more. He was really good at telling me not to pick but then I'd sneak into the kitchen when he wasn't looking! Oh my God, I really need to work out why I eat food when I don't need to. The whole time on this diet, I haven't actually been hungry so it must be a mental thing.
Good luck this week everyone.

michaelad · 08/05/2007 09:30

Hi Tlsm, really good to hear that your lo is better! And don't worry about the weight, there are more important things than that

Lucie, did your dh only stay for 2 weeks??!! You must be gutted! Well, I happily admit that what should have been AAM week turned into a complete disaster with me actually having put on 2 lbs. I started gaining weight straight away..scale hopped (yes, I know..), panicked and ate even more. I have such a weird relationship with food..it is unbelievable. And I will really need to work on it because otherwise I will put all the weight straight back on once I finish this diet

Back on track now, but have a holiday coming up next week which will probably not be very CD either. So I have pretty much decided to do SS until I leave, try and be reasonably good out there and get back on SS when I come back...and then just erase the memory of all my weight gains and sins and just get on with the diet.

Sorry this is so long..but it's been a horrible week!!
