September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

I'm missing my daily weigh ins, no idea whether I'm in a good place or not.

I've kept up my 10k steps each day (just) but last night had two course meal and two wines so not as golden as hoped. Hotel breakfasts are at least allowing me to miss lunch (apart from a kit kat...Blush) but I'm annoyed with myself for having dessert last night

Back home tonight so will be late dinner and then away again next week so will try and avoid desserts in hotel.
Not sure of plans for weekend but early flight on Monday will keep me out of the pub on Sunday which will help...Hmm

Enjoy nandos hairspray, i havent been for ages...that may be dinner on Sunday now you have mentioned it. I know DS won't complain if I suggest it and DW is likely to be up for it too Smile

HairsprayBabe · 21/09/2017 11:05

I haven't been for ages but I did rather overdose when I worked there - Nando's every day for a year... no wonder I gained weight!

DP is in an interview currently.... skinny fingers crossed please!

NikiBabe · 21/09/2017 16:06

I miss nandos so badly. Havent been for ages.

poorpaws · 21/09/2017 18:39

I'm going to Nando's on Tuesday 😀

readyforsunshine · 21/09/2017 21:07

👏👏 happy, great result what a lovely bday present, hope you have a good day.
Koko I’m with you, in it for the long haul, replace as much as poss with veg & think nutrition. If nothing else we’re being good to our bodies, except I add alcohol of course 😂
Today has been less steps but I’d guess around 10000 & I’ve ridden, apple & baked blueberry oatmeal, boiled eggs & 2 granary toast, rice noodles with chicken & veg & a beer.

NikiBabe · 21/09/2017 21:49

I keep picking sweet treats. Nonetheless my weight remains around 10st dead and I am due AF over the weekend. Hoping for a woosh.

poorpaws · 21/09/2017 22:09

Nikibabe I'm still at 10st too, don't know how because I'm eating so much chocolate. Think I'll have a big gain soon then I'll be cross.

leesmum · 22/09/2017 07:12

Good morning everyone Smile
Pebbles and Hairspray Fantastic work ladies Flowers
I only had Nandos once and wasn't that Impressed I found the chicken a bit greasy.
1.5 Linda's off for me this week, thrilled with that really. I'm 9.1 which is only a few lbs from where I want to be 👌

HairsprayBabe · 22/09/2017 07:36

Went to Nandos, had mixed leaf salad, 1/4 avocado, grilled halloumi and their new salad topper hummus and seeds! Came in under 700cals

Little bit of wild herb sauce and some olives with the rest of the table and about 8 glasses of coke 0.

So including lunch and coffee etc came in as about 1000cals for yesterday Star

10.3 so same as last Friday... at my mums this weekend - no doubt she will claim I am too thin now Hmm

I am going to wheel out the old MN fave I think she has lost site of what a healthy weight looks like!

thismeansnothing · 22/09/2017 08:01

Argh struggling to keep up with this thread. Well done to everyone's losses 👏🏻 and sticking on plan in Nando's. Tough job! Not been there in ages but they did have this nice chicken and quinoa salad bowl that was lovely and actually felt like I'd made a half decent choice when I had it 😂

Well it's definitely autumn out there today - nice and crisp. Me and the 5 year old made apple cinnamon porridge for breakfast. Soooo nice warm and filling. Although got me right in the mood for a pumpkin spice latte 😱 I'll hold out. I've pencilled in when Im going to let myself have one (otherwise I'll be on them every other day) 😂

readyforsunshine · 22/09/2017 08:27

Awesome lees, I fondly remember when I was last 9.1 a long, long time ago!
Gorgeous autumn day here too thismeans I’ve been out to boot camp this morning & the car registered freezing. I’m now considering your porridge idea for bfast having been tempted by hearing nigella on the radio talfing about a Fig, Brie & Parma ham sandwich toasted in butter 😵 I was actually thinking oo I’ve got all those ingredients.... is it possible that food porn thoughts are hampering my weight loss!?!
In other news I got a bargain pair of super flattering 7 for all mankind jeans in tkmaxx last night.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 22/09/2017 08:58

Morning all!

Lees well done! That's a good loss for the week.

And Hairspray I am very impressed with your restraint in Nando's!

Apple and cinnamon porridge sounds delicious thismeans! Did you cook the apple separately or add it all in together?

I went out for dinner last night and now I'm weighing in at 2lbs up, oops. Still, it's been a whole week of overeating so not as bad as it could have been!

Anyway I have a job interview later and I'm shitting myself, I hate hate hate interviews. Please could you send positive vibes my way?

HairsprayBabe · 22/09/2017 09:52

4 degrees here this morning! So v cold! I was very close to cracking but I got our drinks as soon as we got there and had 4 glasses before we ordered so I wasn't starving and greedy!

Good loss there lees Star

Good luck for later spurious! Flowers

thismeansnothing · 22/09/2017 12:24

spurious was pressed for time so just grated an Apple n bunged it in with the oats cinnamon n milk n nuked it in the microwave. Did the trick. In the past I've used a pouch of baby apple purée to add to it instead. Does the trick!

Autumn has now officially been n gone. We're onto rain now. Grrrr and need to walk to school to pick dd up then I'll have done my 10,000 steps

ponygirlcurtis · 22/09/2017 12:40

Good luck Spuriouser, hope it goes well. And Happy birthday Happy! 😆

keepon was it the 'Eat like a normal person' website? I found it really useful too, lots of insights.

Holiday weekend here so few steps today but will gym it tomorrow.

NikiBabe · 22/09/2017 22:27

God this thread moves so fast. Happy birthday to birthday girl. Well done for restraint in Nandos HB.

Nothing to report here. Had 1372 calories and burned off 720 in exercise. Can we call that golden today?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 23/09/2017 12:53

Sounds very golden to me Niki!

Happy belated birthday Happy! Hope you are enjoying your weekend away!

Thanks for the positive vibes Grin not sure how it went but I will find out within a couple of weeks.

Aiming for maintenance calories today, so 1500 ish (including wine!), then hopefully more around 1200 tomorrow. I want to set myself up for a better week this week!

ponygirlcurtis · 24/09/2017 08:08

Bit of a slow weekend here - been so tired and now feel a bit like I am getting a cold. I did make that haddock and creamed corn curry last night and chucked in loads of extra veg, was lovely.

HairsprayBabe · 25/09/2017 08:00

10.9 not a good weekend... hoping a lot of it is water weight that two fast days will knock out...

My mother just kept bringing food out all weekend long, I thought I had done OK only eating at meal times and not accepting seconds, apparently not!

5 days till the end of the month and I am +3 looks like another STS month for me Sad and I was doing so well a few weeks ago!!!

HappyGowerGirl · 25/09/2017 09:17

Hey!

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

It was pretty much impossible for me to be virtuous this weekend because of the food on offer... I appear to have gained one Linda which was to be expected.

9.9 for me!

Started today with a shitter tea. Hopefully that will help😂

HappyGowerGirl · 25/09/2017 09:19

Hairspray I'm sure a few Golden days will have you back on track!

What's your mum playing at offering you loads of food all the time? Is it well meaning? Does she know you're trying to loose?

ponygirlcurtis · 25/09/2017 09:21

Take heart from the fact that you won't have put on 6lbs in two days Hairspray - that would be overeating by about 20k calories! Shock It will come back down quickly I predict.

Very sedentary few days here (local school holiday).

HairsprayBabe · 25/09/2017 10:00

Not deliberate sabotage by DM I just come from a real foodie family and the vast majority of our socialising is done around food.

E.g chippy tea on Friday, we pop into my grandma's on the way home and drop of their chips as grandad can't drive at night now.

Saturday aunt came round for breakfast so we had french toast and coffee and girlie chats, shopping in the day and out for lunch and cake, then my uncle was up from London and Ddad had booked us a table at the local curry house. Then home to watch strictly with a glass of baileys.

Sunday up early for church - didn't bother with brekky but went round visiting older members of the parish afterwards and there is always food on offer. mountains of cake and scones and crisps and fruit and dip etc. was good and stuck to tea and fruit. Had a big sunday roast at mums, then let my self down with two puddings! ooopsy!
